A:  I dont know why you couldnt, it durable enough, I'd check watts and maps on a/c and make sure it's not more than on the cord

A:  You should be fine. These cords are rated for appliances. Turn the light off when not in use. Also if the light can take an LED bulb that will lower the energy draw.
