Q:What do they mean by rough in?
by|Feb 2, 2024
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: Hello Moodyblues, The rough-in is measured distance from the finished wall (whether drywall, tile or other) to the center of the drain. Toilets are usually rated for either 10", 12" or 14". It is a gage to help you select a toilet that would be closest to the wall. Should you have further questions, comments or need future assistance, please call Glacier Bay @ 1-855-434-5224 where one of our Customer Service Reps can assist you.

Answer This Question
A: Hello Rivers, The valves are configured in this model to deliver 1.28 gallons per flush. Due to the mechanics of the flush, when filled to the top of the overflow of the flush valve, the tank will have slightly more than this. Should you have further comments or need future assistance, please call Glacier Bay @ 1-855-434-5224 where one of our Customer Service Reps can assist you.

Q:I just installed this toilet and the fill valve is leaking from the bottom of the tank. I installed everything correctly. Is this a common problem and how have you solved it?

Answer This Question
A: Hello Erin, Make sure that the fill valve is tight. You can loosen the nut, reseat the valve, then retighten the nut. One other thing to check is the supply line connection. The fill valve may have been supplied with an additional gasket. This would only be required if the connection is to an existing rigid supply line. If using a flexible braided supply line, then the additional gasket can be discarded. Answer This Question
A: Hello Valued Customer, Round front toilets are usually better suited for small spaces. Though you may need to confirm the rough-in size. This is the measurement from the finished wall (whether drywall, tile or other) to the center of the drain (bolts on the existing toilet). This toilet is rated for a 12 inch rough-in. Should you have further comments or need future assistance, please call Glacier Bay @ 1-855-434-5224 where one of our Customer Service Reps can assist you.

Answer This Question
A: Hello Valued Customer, The toilet is supplied with a 1" thick standard wax ring, but if you choose to, you can use the wax-free toilet seal. The toilet is not supplied with a water supply line, so that you will need to purchase. The toilet side connection is 7/8" Ballcock, but you will need to confirm the connection to your wall valve. This could be either 1/2" IP, 1/2" Comp. or 3/8" Comp.; also the length you will need. Should you have further comments or need future assistance, please call Glacier Bay @ 1-855-434-5224 where one of our Customer Service Reps can assist you.
