Halogen lights provide better visibility-brighter light for the cooktop surface. We cannot recommend alternate lighting. Halogen lamps come in a variety of sizes, types and attachment methods. Replace your bulbs with the same voltage and wattage recommended. All hoods with halogen lamps have a label placed near the lamp indicating this rating. Do not exceed the maximum wattage recommended.
