You can also figure your layout based upon where they lye in your application, making it easier to center them in place of a tile. A:  i do not see why not seems to be the same material as your vinyl siding test a piece in boiling water and it kept is shape

A:  Before HD stocked these you could order directly from the manufacture exactly the number of parts you needed. Since you can't do this anymore I may try to pick up some stock aluminum C-channel from the store. If you're using the thin PVC drop panels they should fit. (That's what I plan on doing) Buying a whole kit just for a few pieces seems expensive.

Since the grid is made of PVC and directly mounted to your joists any excess weight could cause the components to sag. Yes, once you have your installation completed if you find you need to access above the grid work you would simply unsnap the runner component of the system, rock the cross tee a bit to the side, and remove the panels you are needing to. Once you have completed the work above the grid, the runner can be snapped back into place to bring your installation back to original finished condition. A:  You need it to hold the ceiling tile into the grid on two of the sides. If not they will fall out.

A:  Thank you for your interest in our CeilingMAX White Surface Mount Ceiling Grid Kit. Our 25" cross tees are needed only if you are starting your room with a full panel and a revealed edge tile. Since these tiles typically measure exactly 24"x24" or slightly larger, our regular cross tee will not accommodate the size of the panel in the first row of installation, as there is not enough room on the wall bracket for the full size panels to rest. However, if you have a border tile (a tile that needs to be trimmed or cut down around the border of the room) you will have no need for the 25" tees.
