Q:The RH hasn't changed from the initial 31 and it has been on for 3 days. Room size is no more than recommended

Answer This Question

A:  Dear Valued Customer, 57. Humidity reading does not change. Thank you for your purchase. If the humidity reading on your unit does not change, we recommend you try the following steps: Please close all doors and windows in the room to ensure you are preventing the mist from escaping into different areas of your home. Do not place the unit directly over a rug or towel since this will block the sensor, which is located on the bottom of the unit, from reading the correct humidity level in the room. Always place your unit on a flat, leveled surface. Please make sure you are running the unit in the proper setting (low, medium, high, etc.) in proportion to the dimensions of your room. I hope this information has been helpful. Please do not hesitate to contact us at (877) 959-1234, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm (EST), if you need additional assistance. Thank you and have a great day. Customer Response Team

Q:What kind of water to use?

    Answer This Question

A:  I use tap water, but it is more susceptible to mineral build up and has to be cleaned. Alternatively, you could you distilled water.

A:  Distilled water is best. At the minimum, use filtered water. Otherwise you'll get a white powder on nearby surfaces, as the minerals will get dispersed with the ultrasonic humidifier.

Q:Can you add essential oils to the water?
    by|Jan 4, 2017

    Answer This Question

A:  I would recommend against it. Oils will cling to the pellets in the ceramic filter and provide a breeding ground for bacteria, which will then become airborne.

    by|Jan 24, 2017

A:  Hi Kathy, no you can't add any oils, or scents to the water with this humidifier. Doing so will damage the Nebulizer in the base.

      by|May 4, 2023

A:  I can only give my personal opinion. And that is, no, I would not.

      by|May 4, 2023

A:  Not recommended. It would probably contaminate the ceramic filter and become a breeding ground for bacteria.

Q:LOOKING TO BUY HUMIDIFIER. IS THERE ANY VISIBLE OR DAMPNESS FELY ON CARPET IN BR OR WOOD FURNITURE?

        Answer This Question

A:  I run my every night on a hardwood floor and have never had any issues with residue or dampness on nearby furniture. Because I run mine over my hardwood floor, I put a bath towel on the floor just to be on the safe side, but the towel is never damp. This is a great humidifier. Holds a lot of water and allows for various levels of mist output.

Q:Mine is on a piece of wood and level but sensor still stays the same, what's wrong? Why isn't sensor working?

        Answer This Question

A:  Dear Valued Customer, Thank you for your purchase. In order for the unit to work properly, water from the tank must flow into the base where the water level sensor and the nebulizer that produces the mist are located. If you have filled the tank but the low water indicator is on, please loosen up the tank cap to allow the water to flow into the base and reach the appropriate water level. Customer Response Team

          Q:No mist

          Answer This Question

A:  Is the tank full and properly seated on the base? Have you checked the humidistat setting? If it is set lower than the humidity in the room, the unit will not mist. It's all spelled out in the instructions.

          by|Jan 24, 2017

A:  Adjust the mist setting. Should have lots of mist on medium.

            by|May 4, 2023

A:  The no mist problem could be there is no water in the tank, water in the air vent on the base, or not enough time lapsed to get the mist flow to start. The instruction manual states that it may take 15 minutes to start the mist. The other possibility is the type of water that is being used. If you have hard water the white dust build up could cause a no mist issue.

Q:Can u pour water into the top flap without having to take the complete machine to sink or bathtub to put water in?

              Answer This Question

A:  No, it won't fill correctly that way. I did discover that the reservoir fits under my fridge tap though, since you're supposed to use distilled or at least filtered water, since this is an ultrasonic humidifier and not an evaporative one. It's really not that hard to disassemble for fill up.

              by|May 4, 2023

A:  You need to take the top off to fill the machine
