Q:I have hard water in Los Angeles. Has anyone used the demineralization filters they recommend for excessively hard water? I really don't want to bother using distilled water.

A:  I have this unit in Phoenix and the water here is hard and full of minerals. We have been using it for about a year and just recently ran a bit of vinegar through it to clean it up. On high/turbo output the tank lasts about a day. On lower settings, it lasts for about 3+ days. Bought it for orchids...lol... it does the job and I'd have to say I'm 100% satisfied with it. Looks good, works well, go for it :)

    A:  I usually fill it with filtered water from my refrigerator or from a Brita. Every so often , out of pure laziness, I fill from the faucet. We live in NJ and have quite hard water. So far it’s worked out fine and we don’t see any of the white dust etc.

      A:  Those digital humidity controllers are very inaccurate. Be careful, your best bet is to watch your Windows for moisture build up, this is a sign there is enough moisture in house. Digital age has come but not knowing what to do besides having a perfect controlled environment, which you do not have in this situation. Hygromoator is your best bet , it hangs on your wall and can give an accurate reading. Don't worry, best of luck.

        Q:Gives the room a haze or fog. Can really see with sunshine or lights on.. is this Normal?

If it is too much mist, please lower the mist setting. Please keep in mind that when you turn the humidifier on it automatically defaults to a low mist. If you feel that its too much mist, please do not press the mist button after powering on the unit, just allow the "low" mist setting to run, or you may turn off the unit.             A:  Sometimes, if the tank runs dry and the humidifier is left on for a while it will stop. Leave it turned off overnight and see if it works the next day. This happened to me once, and it resolved itself after a hard reset.

              A:  Good afternoon Valued customer, The ceramic bead filter is a lifetime filter that doesn't need to be changed, it only needs to be cleaned once a week with 50% white vinegar/50% water solution. You can let the filter soak for about 20 minutes in the solution, rinse with warm water and let air dry. The Hard Water Filters are not lifetime filters, these filters will need to be changed approximately every 45 days. Depending on machine usage and the amount of minerals in the water.                 A:  Good evening, I hope this email finds you well. Thank you for your inquiry and for your interest in our wonderful line of products. We do recommend emptying the base and wiping the inside of the base with a soft cloth or paper towel every time you refill the tank. Never allow water to remain in the tank or base for more than two days. For best results we do recommend cleaning your humidifier once a week as instructed in the manual under “Weekly Cleaning and Care”, for a deeper cleaning you can use a vinegar and water solution. Power the humidifier off, remove the tank & unscrew the tank cap/filter & empty any remaining water. Fill the tank over half way with water and 1 cup of white vinegar, screw the tank cap/filter back on and shake vigorously and allow the tank to soak 15-20 minutes. Also, unplug the base & empty any water left inside, pour 1 cup of water and 1 cup of white vinegar into the base and using a soft cloth or the cleaning brush that came with the unit wipe the sides and inside of the base then allow the base to soak 15-20 minutes as well. For the extension nozzle and dual mist nozzle you can fill your sink with vinegar and water solution and allow both pieces to soak, you may use a bottle brush to clean inside the extension nozzle and mist shaft inside the tank. Please allow your unit to air out until completely dry when it is time to refill your tank and after every weekly cleaning. Also, let the unit completely air dry before storing it for long periods of time. Best Regards, Allison Souza Customer Care Response Team

                      Q:I filled the tank put it on the base when cut off it was fine but when I cut the power on the water started over running everywhere I check the tank cap it was not keeping and did not seem until I cut machine on. Do u know what the problem is?
