A:  If you?re adding this to a clay type soil then yes it def helps with drainage and also makes the soil acidic. It also helps to retain moisture, so you should not have to worry about soil drying out so quickly.

          A:  I tested 5.5 which I don?t like as it?s adjusted. For growing blueberry I would find another natural unadjusted peat moss.

            Q:Is this good for succulent soil? Other brand ones are more expensive for just Qts so I'm trying to buy a bigger amount but don't know if it's any different.

            A:  This product is a neutral PH which is why I use it as I do not want it changing the makeup of my soil. I have clay soils where I am and add this to the soil to loosen it to make better growing environment and easier to do weed control.
