    Answer This Question

A:  I’m not sure about “best” but we ran pvc up to the Tankless hot water heater and then Sharkbite fittings with cpvc lines throughout the house. We did take 3/4 size on long runs and then reduced it to 1/2 when we got closer or at a T.

A:  Look at a shark bite connector if you don’t want use pvc glue and a pvc converter

      by|Jan 14, 2022

A:  PVC might be illegal to use in your application. Check your building codes.

A:  Set up your account with the Home Depot store you use on line. Do a search for the product and then select 'on hand' or in stock. Easiest way to check rather than calling the store.

Q:Can this be inserted into an existing copper pipe (after cutting) even if the pipe is engaged at both ends and hard to move them to slide into this fitting? If this doesn't work in this situation, what alternative would work?

                  Answer This Question

A:  Hello, It will be necessary to have flexibility in the pipes in order to install this fitting. You may want to take a look at SharkBite slip tee part # U3370LFA which will install with a 2" gap between the pipes. There is a video in the link below that goes over how this tee is installed. It will be necessary to use a reducing coupling to reduce down to 1/2" on the branch of the tee. If you have additional questions please don't hesitate to reach out to our technical support department at 877-700-4242. https://www.sharkbite.com/resources/video/how-repair-leaking-pipes-sharkbite Best Regards,
