A: I don't see why not. As long as you can keep water from getting into it it should be fine. Not sure you are going to get any heat from it outside, but might look nice at night.

Q:Hello,
We purchased this about 6 months ago and it has started turning itself off and won't turn back on for 10 minutes up to an hour later. We have unplugged it because I'm thinking it may have a short in it? Has anyone else had this issue?
Thank you,
Stacy

A: Hello Josh, this electric log set has a thermostatic heater that turns on and off depending on the temperature in the room. The five heat settings are thermostatic settings which determine how warm the room has to be to satisfy the thermostat. The heater always runs at the same wattage. - GHP Group Customer Support
