Wright Products push button door latch is ideal for out-swinging metal and wood doors 0.75”-1.25” thick. The inside latch features “No lock out” technology, eliminating the worry of accidentally locking yourself out. Its quality and durable construction ensures reliable everyday Use on your storm or screen door. All installation hardware is included. Installs in three 5/16” holes and contains two sizes of strike plates and shims to provide adjustment for varying backsets. The latch also has a mounting hole with 1.75” spacing. High-quality finish allows it to blend in perfectly with your door and frame.

          Fairly easy to install. I didn’t have a bunch of power tools to do much but the part I was replacing had a pre-cut bar. I just used that bar in lieu of the one the kit came with.

          This is the exact same "push button door handle" that was on our carport screen door for over 17+ years. The inside handle latch had recently broken and I looked to replace and found this at Home Depo for less than $10. Instructions,(with hardware), easy to install and in no time, less than10 minutes, we have a new door handle for many more years to come.

          Good DIY kit, but...
          This is a good DIY kit for most storm doors but 1 1/4 inch thick door owners beware (see photo). The longest screws provided are 1 1/2 inch and it is almost impossible to get the screws started. It would have installed faster if the kit included a set of 1 3/4 inch screws. I also found thick paint was obstructing the female threads (see photo) . Other than that this is an excellent DIY replacement kit for the money, that's why I conditionally recommend it..
