RIDGID 18-Volt Brushless SubCompact Cordless 3/8 in. Right Angle Drill (Tool Only)
This right-angle drill is a tool I don’t use all the time, but when I need to drill a hole or drive a screw in a tight spot, where a standard drill won’t fit, it’s the tool I use. I previously used right-angle drilling-attachments chucked in a drill; at times I have had to stand in an awkward position or couldn’t use both hands to hold the drill, attachment and screw; I didn’t always get the best results. This drill works great, I only need one hand to hold the drill, it has a large trigger switch that allows choking-up on it for better leverage and it has high and low speed ranges for drilling or driving. As with all RIDGID 18V tools and batteries this Drill is covered by the RIDGID Lifetime Service Agreement.

            Great tool
Very happy with this drill. I have several Ridgid tools and have been very satisfied with them. This right angle drill will come in very handy drilling in tight spaces or in between studs. It only has a 3/8 inch chuck but that will work for most drill bits that I would be using. It comes with a belt clip and a bit storage clip, that you have to install on the base of the tool. It is pretty light weight a pound or two at the most, I can't seem to find the weight on the documentation . It will suit me just fine.

            Solid. You might say "Rigid"
This a really nicely built tool. You can slip this into spaces as tight as 4 inches across (see photo). In addition to the build quality, there is an accessory drill bit holder and a belt clip included, so you can attach one each to the left and right side of the base of the tool where is installed the battery. Also, a combo Phillips-flathead bit is included, so you are ready to go for any quick job you may have in waiting. These parts don't cost a fortune, but they exemplify a company that thinks conceptually, and crosses all the T's and dots all the I's. Even the belt clip is made of an extra thick and very strong metal. Everything about this product screams quality. I look forward to building my collection of Rigid tools with joyful anticipation.

Awesome Drill, maybe the best battery right angle
I haven’t used the Snap On right angle drill, but I do own the Milwaukee M12 right angle and this Ridgid I believe is more powerful and has amazing ergonomics. It’s got a trigger with two finger holds that is perfectly designed along with a slight curve to the handle. It just feels perfectly balanced. The drill head is so compact, I suspect it is the most compact of any power tool. The Milwaukee M12 is close but maybe just slightly longer. This drill also packs a punch indicative of an 18v tool. The one thing I found a little odd is, when you are tightening the drill, there’s no click when you get to the point of it grabbing the bit to tell you it’s tight. Although it does feel like something is locking the bit in place and I’ve had no issues with bits coming out. All in all, I love this thing. It’s a home run by Ridgid. As much as I like the Milwaukee, I would not have bought it if I knew I’d be getting my hands on this bad boy! On a side note, I really like the redesigned batteries and charger too. Ridgid has come a long way from the versions of some of their tools I bought 8 or 9 years ago.

            Great compact right angle drill/driver!
This Ridgid sub compact brushless right angle drill and driver is just what's needed to get at those tight and awkward spots for drilling holes and driving fasteners. This has 375in-lbs of torque which is plenty for it's intended uses. Also has two speeds to switch between. I own many ridgid tools and none of them have ever let me down. This right angle drill is well built and the LED light is a nice touch to see what you're doing. Works with all Ridgid 18v batteries. Recommend to anyone.

Nice addition but likely a low-use tool
I had a DeWalt NiCad right angle drill years ago that came part of a combo kit. Frankly I didn’t use it much. But once in a while in a tight spot it was worth its weight in gold. Very handy. I was impressed with this 18v unit from Ridgid. It is very smooth in operation. No jerks or rapid acceleration when you start it up. Exactly what you need when working in a tight precarious place. They only put a 3/8 chuck on the unit to keep the size down….which means your big bits won’t fit. I keep a Milwaukee right angle attachment in my tool bag for those tricky situations. It’s so much smaller. I don’t think I will haul the Ridgid to the job site as a replacement. But it is nice to have in the shop.

            More Than Expected
This is great, of course, for those tighter spaces and I really needed it for a recent project. At 3-1/2" from the back to the tip, it's easy to go where you couldn't before. I was really surprised at its speed and smooth operation. I was able to quickly and easily drill the holes needed, then finished up sooner than I originally thought. It's very balanced and comfortable in your hands. It has two speeds, so you can choose exactly the speed you need and the trigger is easy to use and control. You don't even think about using it, it's in a natural place and position on the tool. Along with the speed, there's plenty of power too at 375in/lbs. It uses the 18v batteries that you already have for your other RIDGID tools and it's brushless. It comes with a handy bit holder and a belt clip. Both can be mounted, one on each side. Don't forget to register your tool for their lifetime service agreement. This tool has a three year warranty. Impressive tool.

            Drill anywhere you like
This Rigid drill motor is perfect for tight spots, I have found myself wishing for one of these many times in the past and ended up disassembling something to modify it. The tool is well balanced so it feels comfortable to hold and drill and the light is focused right on the area that you are working. The grip gives you a comfortable shaped hold on the tool so it is comfortable to hold on to in any position for extended periods of time. The drill is a perfect addition to my battery powered tool collection.

Free Parts, Free Service, For Life
Did I read that right?????? Yes, simply register the product & you'll get free service for life. This includes normal wear & tear plus batteries! I'm not sure if anyone else, in this market, is offering such a warranty, but I'm sold. I currently own four different Ridgid tools & am happy with all of them. The best part is they all use the same 18 volt battery. So why the need for a right angle drill??? If you are drilling holes thru the middle of a joint for plumbing or electrical work, there are only a couple of options. I tried a right angle bit, but they are very limited in the torque you can exert on the bit. This drill is the best option I've found & the fact that it is cordless makes it that much more convenient. I ordered this Right Angle Drill on-line; it arrived in a few days in perfect condition. If the opportunity were to arise, I would not hesitate to order this or similar items on-line again.

Solid build quality, great for dark tight area's.
I like to go over some features and spec's first in my review's and then share my experience with it. This subcompact 18v Ridgid right angle drill came with an operator's manual, belt clip, bit holder, and a phillips/flat double sided bit. The drill has a 3/8" (10mm) keyless chuck making it easy to switch between bits quickly and easily. This unit has a brushless motor and two-speed gear train with a no load speed of: Gear 1 = 0-500 RPM on low and Gear 2 = 0-1,900 RPM on high. To switch between gears you just slide the switch. The switch is clearly marked 1 and 2. This unit puts out 375 in. lb. of torque. There is a 3 position direction of rotation selector (forward, reverse, and lock). Slide it left for forward, right to reverse, or middle to lock. The switch trigger is variable speed. The harder you press it the faster it will spin. This drill has a built in LED light that comes on when you engage the trigger and stays on for about 10 seconds when the trigger is released. This tool has a nice fully metal chuck and a very durable plastic body with a nice rubber coating. It feels solid and has great grip. It is also UL certified. I got this right angle drill for job's a standard drill will not fit in to. It came in really handy when I put my new patio set together today. I got an outdoor sectional and some of the screws I needed to get to were in tight spots. This drill was able to get in there with no problem. This is definitely a great addition to my collection. I did not attach the belt clip but I did attach the bit holder. You have the option to attach the belt clip or bit holder to either side of the tool depending on your preference. I like the built in LED for working in a tight dark spot. If you press the trigger gentle enough the light will come on without running the drill when you need a quick light. The trigger switch is made to be used with 1 or 2 finger's. There are so many time's in the past that I could not get my drill into an area and had to use a small screw driver. I do not have to worry about that anymore. If you are looking for a right angle drill give this one a try. You will not be disappointed.
