Excellent workers

The major portion of our time was spent with Kane - in the carpet department. We did purchase carpet. He even walked with us to the cashier handling the payment of our purchase. Our next trip, to buy an outside storage shed, showed advantages to deal with him again! I could see other employees also recognized his exemplary personality in dealing with customers and co-workers.

The store has ample employees to help with the products. Employees are knowledgeable and helpful in finding solutions to your projects. The store is clean and products are organized.

The associates are friendly and helpful. In a previous visit we did not find the specific part we went in for but they gave us a free alternative to try since they no loner carried what we originally went in for. The workers went above and beyond our expectations!

Terrible customer service. I called to hold a product on a Monday I said I would pick up on Wednesday am because I’m in Lincoln. My product was not hold or no were to be located. They had my information so I’m not sure why they did not call me to let me know that I needed to pay in order for them to hold my items? They call me to let me know that they had the item? I asked if I needed to pay they said no it be at customer service when I come.

My primary Home Depot store is about 30 miles, one way. If it does not have an item in stock I need, I try this Yuba City store, which is another 10 miles farther, in another direction. Yet, I find the distance isn't the main concern of shopping at either store. Although most of the employees are friendly, courteous and considerate of your time, there are a number of employees, on the floor and at the register that are more involved in conversation with other employees or feel annoyed when asked for assistance. Their high position - low status perspective gives them a cocky, condescending attitude. I find it insulting to be asked the quantity of material... and then have them count the items themselves.... and too occasionally, get it wrong. To correct their error, I have to make an 80 mile round trip and plea my case to justify a simple refund, of only a small percentage of the cost and frustration it takes to do business at this Yuba City store. I realize the work days can be tiring and stressful, dealing with a wide array of customer personalities. But, that's no reason to treat every customer as an illiterate, suspected thief from a foreign country. A customer has options, where low prices and convenience is easily over looked for a more pleasant surrounding. I've shopped at this store since it was built, and it has shown some good improvement, but there are a few bad apples that makes me think twice about trying my luck there..... again.

The people at Home Depot are really nice and very helpful they do the best that they can to go out their way to help the customers.

If you need flooring, this is the place to go. Chad, my salesperson, was fabulous. Courteous, patient, KNOWLEDGEABLE (much more so than other flooring competitors), and understanding as I changed my mind about what type product several times.

The store was clean and well organized. I had a paint issue and a nice employee named Eric helped me in picking the correct paint and matching a color from a sample.

Terrible and RUDE customer service. Management doesn't care when told about the rude feeling received from associates. When asking for some help forget it! Expect to be considered a burden if you need help.

The customer service staff at Home Depot is the reason they continue to be #1 in this area for building material retails sales. I can buy a ladder anywhere, but I go to Home Depot because they know how to take care of their customers.

The sales staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. They take the time to walk you to the products you have questions about and help you with any questions you may have. Take the time to find Greg Long and have him help you out, he is excellent at customer service!! =)

Actually store ok and employees very helpful at checkout and at return. Problem was with what was sold to me as new and at new price. Bought a motorized post hole digger. Two on shelf.. both in battered and taped boxes,,probably returns so I selected the box in better condition..next day at the work site I opened the box to find a returned auger with dried mud still on the auger and the bit so blunted it needed replacement to even work...didn't even take it out of the box it was so excessively used already.. the store replacing an uninspected returned item in unusable condition to the shelf to sell as new cost Home Depot a customer.. and cost me the expense of two 45-mile trips to town and project completion delay.

The staff are so friendly, making you laugh and helping you whenever you have a question. I am definitely going back there!

As a novice during a home improvement project, I was sent to pick up a list of items. The staff was super helpful in every department from lumber to plumbing to tiling. They had a very nice young man load my items, and I didn't even have to ask. The cashier Patricia saw what I had in my cart, waved my over to her, and talked to the young man before I even had to say anything. It's a great store.

It was not to good

I recently shopped at the Yuba City Home Depot and was so pleased with how personable and helpful the employees were. Other home improvement stores I have visited, never seem to have a salesperson when you need them, and if you do find one, they simply give you an aisle number. At the YC Home Depot, the sales person, walked me to the location and made sure I could find what I was looking for, then taped up a bundle of pvc pipes so they would be easier to carry. If that wasn't enough, he then walked with me up to the cashier to make sure they charged me the bulk item price. Wow, what great service!

The customer service has greatly improved. Greg F is a great employee to get assistance from.

I shop often at this Yuba City store however recently I've been rethinking this. My major purchases are in the garden area and I've found the plants and trees are so poorly taken care of. The impression is they don't care or they absolutely have no interest in selling above what their average might be. The poor plants are always and I do mean always drying up, looking pitiful, being under watered, disorganized, and simply not cared for. The employees in this department know next to nothing about gardening and cannot help because they have no knowledge of plants or gardening when I've asked nor have they been able to help me in building a fire pit or using the bricks that they sell.

Products are always there and easy to find. Employees are friendly and always willing to assist.

I came in last night, at about 9:30 pm. I needed something to deal with the aphids on my roses. I did not notice the name of the employee, but he was a big, tall guy. He said he works freight, but would be happy in answering questions or find someone that could. Actually, this guy needs to work doing something else, as he is very knowledgeable regarding flowers, bugs, and how to treat garden items. I could have never made the decisions and purchases I did without his help. That employee is a credit to your store. Nice man, very friendly.

I recently purchased a dishwasher and refrigerator on two separate visits. Initially, I had gone to another major competitor because of the price but in both cases the items were not in stock. Home Depot met or exceeded the savings for the exact model and had the merchandise in stock. The sales people were knowledgeable and able to demonstrate features and benefits of the product line. I would definitely recommend Home Depot for major appliances. I had them install the dishwasher and the installers were prompt and installed the dishwasher start to finish in 30 minutes!
