Great store, always well stocked, the store is always very clean and clear of clutter in the aisles, service is always friendly and highly professional, Home Depot is the best!

Please get ride of the self check out HD associate, 'Bailey'. I needed a simple question answered before I started to use the shelf checkout station. She was busy, okay, & I waited. It did take a while &, with me standing next to her, she worked hard to ignore me as she walked around to other stations. Eventually I stood directly in front of her so she could not walk away & I asked if I could receive the military discount at self checkout. She said, "Yes," and walked away. I tried but could not figure out how to do it so I asked again. She, sourly & disdainfully, said, "Press the red 'pro' button." I did but the system asked for a 'PO' which did not apply to me. It was a good ten minutes I had lost trying to use the self checkout so I left and went to the full service checkout. That went well. I do want to thank you for the Military Discount.

How I feel about a shopping 'experience' is normally determined by my interaction with a the bin store's employees much more so than what I bought or what I paid. One of your customer associates, his name on his HD cover was 'Shawn', who, if I was the HD manager, is exactly what I would want in the employees representing my store. He was openly friendly, with a genuine smile & hello, well spoken, knowledgeable, & helpful. He knew exactly where the electrical socket electrical extension was located, and he went above & beyond the call of duty by walking us to bin & box. Thank-you HD. Also thank-you for the Military Discount.

People, my memory of my experiences normally revolves around the people/employees I encounter. I will remember my interpersonal interaction with employees much longer than I will remember what I bought or what I paid. Your cashier, Destiny, was head & shoulders above most HD employees I have encountered. She was intelligent, fast on the uptake & being articulate, efficient/fast in her job, & genuinely friendly, apparent in her smile, eyes, facial expression, & voice. If I was her boss she has the personal & professional skill sets that I would want working in my store.

They did not have pruning sealer. This is the season to prune, i.e. when plants are dormant. They offer a Military Discount. One of their employees named Rick was very professional & personable. He was intelligent, i.e. fast on the uptake as well as articulate, knowledgeable in the location of items I wanted, exuded positive energy, friendly (You could see it in his eyes, facial expression, and tone of voice.), and helpful. If I owned Home Depot, his work ethic & people skills would be what I would want.

The Employee are Amazing Purchased a Washer and Employee Gertrude went all out her way to make sure she took care of me even when her shift was over. She had patience with a smile Anthony Customer Service Cashier also took care of me by assisting, not once, not twice but 3 times and each time he had a smile on his face. (I purchase a Refrigerator, Alarm Camera and some Lighting for the house) They work hard, take care of their customers and maintain a smile even at the end of the day and their shift is over, they remain polite. This is always my go to first due to the customer service, the cleanliness of store and I can move about without concerns of Covid 19. I went into the store 7 times in 2 days to purchase the right Washer, I couldn't make up my mind especially after comparing washers at other stores from in person and online. I was drained due to making sure I get all the features I wanted, some had this, others had that.... But once it was all said and done, I didn't get the washer I paid for on the first day, I got an upgrade, larger capacity with WiFi and a lot of features at a Better Price in the Stainless Steel to match my Dryer!! Did I say, Delivery date will only be 4 days not like all other stores that stated their Out of Stock or it may be a Month or two later due to Covid! All I have to say is Our Home Depot Rocks!! My Family and I thank you!!

I only came to this store because the ignorant sales person at Home Depot in Newport News told me that the product I wanted was discontinued, but VA Beach had it in stock. I was helped by Ian and then Ian, Evan and Thalmar helped me load the product in my car. Everyone at this store was wonderful. With that being said, it would be great if these guys could teach the folks at Newport News Customer Service, Professionalism and Politeness. They all ignore you and leave you to figure out the flooring questions on your own as if you are a flooring expert. Well, guess what. I'm not. Thus I went there to get assistance to no avail. Two weeks later, 3 visits later and still no answer to my questions plus my measurements were wrong. Obviously they don't need or want my business so tomorrow I am happily going to return $2,500.00 worth of flooring products since I was misinformed and bought the stuff they told me to and their flooring installers wont install it. And I was told 3 times that a Manager would be calling me back and it's been a week and nothing. And no, I'm not a Karen. I am the chillest person ever. But even I can be pushed over the line.

Employees are friendly, store is clean and what you need is easy to find.

The people who work this store seem to be experts in not only their particular areas, but know where everything in the store is located. They most times can answer questions and advise on a project, and in the event they can't, they know who can. I have shopped at many home depots, but this one is consistently high quality with knowledgeable personnel. If you need advice materials for a job, this is the place to go.

Have been coming to this Home Depot for 5 yrs and have always found what I wanted or needed. I'd highly recommend this Home Depot to anybody in the area. Great staff, clean store and always well stocked.

I think the store manager should find out threw garden clubs and senior center to see if they would come by just to help with watering. There are a lot of people in Virginia Beach that would volunteer to water. Each person could water a couple hours a day. This might be a good idea for someone to look into! Thanks for letting me voice my opinion! This is my favorite Home Depot and keep up the good job keeping the store in tip top shape!!
