The Selma Home Depot store is a great place to shop. I have the Home Depot app and before I go in, I use the app to find item availability, then the aisle and bay where it is located. This saves me time from just wandering down the aisles. The app is very accurate as far as letting know what stock is on hand and where it's located. Store is well stocked, clean, well organized. I highly recommend using the app to help you find items. And if you don't have the app, no problem....the associates are very friendly and helpful. The store is big, so you may have to just keep an eye out for the orange vest if you need help finding something, but they are helpful.

Everytime I come to this store, associates are not very pleasant. I was very upset with this return and multiple employees came to the return desk to be nosey. I noticed the supervisor manjit was very defensive and the manager reggie was only there to defend his employee. I asked for a full refund on a paint I had not asked for. I lost alot of time and money on this job and home depot should have been alot more considerate to a member that frequently purchases and very rarely, never has made an official complaint.

This store is by far one of the rudest stores I have shopped in. My experience in this store is pretty consistent when it comes to the level of unprofessionalism. If it wasn’t for urgently needing material for a project that is time sensitive I would rather drive an extra 20 miles to another store location then to visit this location. Now, not every associate in this store is unprofessional but the ones I have encountered have either emitted body language or tone that they were to busy to deal with questions I have or assistance I require. If it isn’t what I said another issue is employee presence at the store. There are times where I will walk the entire store and not find one associate leading to me having to walk across the whole store to the cashiers to get help. Maybe it’s because it’s the only Home Depot with 15 to 20 miles but this store has become complacent on the customer experience. When contractors I work with ask about this location I tell them to go to a different location if they need material and only go to this store as a last resort. I really do hope corporate or the upper management take measures in fixing the customer experience in this location but because it has been like this for months if not years that I have had to force myself to go to this store I am afraid it will never change and am eventually going to get to a point where I will never step foot in this location again.

When to pick up a grill on my lunch that I bought online cashier Marisa walks out with a build 1 wanted it in a box.. no big problem. Marisa goes looks for the other ones they built as well. She says they have 1 she goes to get it it has a defferent serial number say that's not part of sale asks if I want to return it I ask can u get 1 more coming she says no. I ask to speak to a manager see if he can match the price since the grill are the same thing just defferent serial number marisa gets on the phone n tells him whats going on then says okay I'll let him know, then says no cuz that's an online deal so we cant match it so I return it walk to the grills I see the grill there take a pic of it walk to a defferent cashier she checks the part number turn out that grill is on sale for the same price so bought that . All this cuz she didnt want to check a part number of try to take care of the customer. I spent 40 mins of my lunch there n no manager came to talk to be when I asked for 1. Second cashier elizabeth was very nice and helpful and well as Edward the guy who help me load the grill.

Went in to purchase more tools to replace ones I've broken or ones that have outlived their life span. Upon checking out at the self checkout area I was asked for the employee to see my receipt, never got a hi or if I found everything I was looking for like I normally get. they just took the receipt to look it over and make sure I had scanned everything, which in itself is fine. I understand people try to pay for some things but not all. But then I was accused of not scanning something which was not true. I told the employee its there on the receipt, and they would've noticed that had they just looked at it a little longer then 2 seconds. Once they found it they just said oh there it is, handed me my receipt and said have a good day and walked away. They could've turned their mistake in assuming it hadn't been scanned into a joke or something to lighten the situation and it all would've been fine. Im not the type of person to complain because I've worked in retail as well as the food industry so I know what its like to be on their end so I generally let things slide. but this time I felt like I was being discriminated against because I have visible tattoos and they just assumed that I was going to try to steal something. Im sorry but I'm a medically retired disabled veteran who has worked hard for any and everything I have and I don't take things that don't belong to me. I PAY for them. I guess the stigma towards people with tattoos is still going and they aren't as accepted as I thought they were. Wont be shopping here anymore. I only gave it 2 stars instead of just 1 because they have always had enough product on the shelves.
