I have always had excellent experiences in shopping at this Home Depot. Excellent staff, decent prices and selection. It is the consistent high quality customer service that I have received here that keeps me coming back

My time, like most all people, is very valuable. The Home Depot website allows me to assure that a product is available so I can go to their location and retrieve that wanted product.

The associates are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The prices and selection of goods are great! The only thing I would like to see improve at this location is the availability of pro-parking. Slanting the parking spaces would free up more space.

Especially like Dave in the Wood Products section. He was knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful in getting the material I needed for my project. I made two wooden leaves for an antique round oak table. They turned out well and now I'll be able to seat the entire family at a single table! Thanks again Dave!

I hardly write reviews to be honest, but today I received a really good customer service at this location from Cristen, and Margaret in Customer Service desk and Luaralea flooring specialist. I ordered a washer and dryer over a week ago and was promised to be delivered certain day and never got delivered. I was frustrated with the situation. Walked into this location and talked to this ladies about my merchant and these three ladies solved my problem, and still saved even more money. I was really happy with there service and help. I had to go back and treat them with at least a box of cookies as appreciation for what the did for me. Thank you ladies

as with all home depot stores in this area, people are allowed to park in the loading area for as long as they want while shopping for whatever small items they are looking for.... most of us who usually go there to make large purchases park out in the parking lot, and then drive to the loading area to load after we pay for it... but ONLY if there is room..... a lot of times someone will have to back out due to the congestion, which creates a dangerous situation for customers walking in and out of the store, and for any vehicles that are behind us who are waiting to load.... the store shopping is as good as any other place, but the loading area is NOT set up properly for efficiency of any sort.... in addition to the loading areas, home depot was thoughtful enough to put in diagonal, double length parking spaces for people towing trailers, but these are always taken by people driving cars and pickups WITHOUT any trailer..... the diagonal parking is the best idea for ALL parking spaces, as so many people have large crewcab pickups that cant be parked in the general/90 degree parking spaces due to the turning radius needed to get into and out of them... other than the loading area and trailer parking spaces (which affects nearly all contractors and many people who purchase larger/heavy items) its a reasonable place to shop for most building products...

Helpful employees and great customer service.

Went there to purchase a new stove. They had a good assortment in a variety of styles, brands and prices. Received excellent help in purchasing our new stove. Will return when the next appliance needs replacing.

This store has a nice inventory on hand. Customer service is great; very helpful associates and on recent visit, in window shades and lumber....also customer service counter!

Michelle at Service Desk treated me like I was scum trying to scam the store with my return! Things happen and I left the house with the wrong debit card and didn’t have my receipt. I wasn’t going to drive back home for a $20 return. If you’re going to offer store credit as a solution for situations like this, make sure your employees don’t treat the customer like a thief! I will not be shopping here anymore. Rather take my business to the North Salem store. The only reason I’m giving two stars is because of the gentleman in the lot that approached me with a cart to help load my items into the store. I wish I had gotten his name.

Finally a home improvement store where employees are knowledgeable and not afraid to offer help.

Too many problems encountered with a cut and dry purchase of a side-by-side refrigerator/freezer. Unpleasant subcontractors. No contact, as promised, to remedy situation.

Sometimes things go wrong in retail. That is when a store and its associates have to work harder. This happened at this store and they did come through for their customer. I think Home Depot, as a company, needs to hirw more associates for specialty areas and have them up to speed on all systems. This is a corporate issue. Whoever is subcontracted should also be well versed in Home Depot's contracts too. Associates with skill sets and knowledge should be better supported and that means more associates. Yes, the store was clean, associates helpful (when they weren't tied up with a specialty customer) and all the points you want feed back on. But it's the stuff you'd have to cut into profit shares you should address.

Complete service with dedicated employees. As a disabled person, I enjoy and expect the disabled scooters to work, which they do. Employees always display proper appearance and work ethic. 99% are knowledgeable about products and locations. Moreover, they interact with your needs. They are always thankful for my service when I produce my VA Card.

Avoid Ricardo line at all cost, he’s the one who can’t be bothered to do actual work and you will have to do his job while he is a jerk to you

I really like the Salem Home Depot store. It's always clean and well managed. As a retired military customer I can, automatically, spot the high safety standards, knowledgeable caring associates, and good quality stock. Nothing beats like good service, well stock shelves, and safety #1. Kudos to the employees and management team! Keep up the good work!

Whoever the self checkout cashier was today, June 15 2019 around 10am, was very harsh. I tried to buy a couple of drills, and the barcode was ringing up $3 each , and I wasnt paying any attention and swiped my credit card , after i made the purchase, he checked the receipt and told me that I had to surrender the drills because they rang up a wrong price. Someone had put a barcode on the box as a prank. Instead of saying "I'm sorry sir, but the price is wrong, you will have to go to customer service and have this transaction corrected" He said " Those are $200 drills, and you put a barcode for something else on the box!" Is that a way to treat a police officer ? I went to customer service and they refunded me the money for an item i didn't physically buy. Weird yet rude experience.

Great store, with friendly workers that are always ready to help. Products are always in stock! Its the best home improvement store to shop in Salem.

I have always loved this store. When we built our house and continued upkeep we always purchase there. But my last visit (one week ago) was horrible!! No one at the paint counter would help anyone! One guy sat on his chair staring at his cell phone. The other guy just walked around the counter and tried to look busy! Myself and 2 other customers finally just gave up and left. I decided to give it another try today (because I prefer the paint you carry) and was so very pleased that a whole new crew was at the paint counter! Meagan was so very helpful and pleasant! You need to seriously keep this little gal and please hire more like her!! She saved this customer! I will come back now! What a great little gal!! The other gal (sorry, didn't get her name) was also very nice! How refreshing that someone actually cared! Meagan, you are my hero!!!

The staff at the Salem Home Depot were very knowledgeable and most helpful assisting me in finding the materials and products I was needing. Keep up the good work! Thanks, and be encouraged to continue to strive to be the best you can be in the service of others.

I recently went to Home Depot to purchase a two step ladder. I did not see the item on the shelf that was advertised in the paper so requested assistance. A very nice employee went out of his way to assist me and obtain a lift to bring the large box of ladders down to the floor level and see they were appropriately stocked as well as give me one to purchase. He was very friendly and willing to help and also directed me to exterior tool storage. I was happy as a clam and completely satisfied !!!

The Store is great but lacks the upgrade that the store in North Salem has.

I purchased bird seed and fertilizer at Home Depot recently. I realize I did not come home with those two items as I had purchased multiple things. And I called the store I purchased them at, to no surprise the items weren't there in the "refund" basket. There was no offer to replace or even any in store credit or discount. Is this standard? You received my money but if it was restocked I just don't anything for it?

I have used Home Depot in Oregon, California and Arizona and this particular store was by far the best. Very friendly staff, very helpful and a pleasure to do business with.

All in all just have patience busy store inexperienced sales personnel and u need to read your purchase order if having delivery make sure its correct that's because of inexperienced sales help

When shopping for supplies and materials I have found the staff at this Home Depot store to be very helpful in making good decisions, very often saving me time and money!
