Home Depot in poughkeepsie is one of the cleanest and well kept stores

I really like this store. It's my local store and the people here are very friendly and always willing to help! The only downside is that sometimes there is not enough stock on the shelves for things i'm looking for, or items are misplaced in bins making the original item difficult to find. Small price to pay for the convenience and prices though.

All the employees that I encountered were wonderful, great store to shop in, always clean. There were a few employees that helped a lot, they were Dawn, Patrick, Duncan and Joe V in flooring.

If you have an electric question, go see Marty in electric! Super nice, helpful knowledgeable guy!!! Makes shopping a pleasure!

The store is very nice and the employees were extra friendly. The bathrooms extra clean too. They always seem to be. Knowledge about certain things may be challenging for some of them. I had bought a couple boards and when I brought them up to the register they charged me for 2" more inches than there was, They used a pole on the floor and stand them up. Well they do not measure accurately! Bring a ruler up from the hardware dept or your own when checking out to be sure your not getting overcharged. I was 7' 3/4" with bad ends and was charged at 7'2". Not much for each board but add that amount up for every customer buying trim I am sure it adds up substantially. It was an extra 50 cents for just one of my boards that I did not get but paid for. And it wasn't the most expensive trim either. I'll be ready next time. Otherwise the store is really nice and pretty well stocked. I do recommend the store but be prepared for the cashier.

Last night, we made an emergency trip to our local Home Depot to replace our refrigerator which unexpectedly died. We were so fortunate to be greeted in the appliance department by an amazing Appliance Specialist. He is a GEM! He turned a stressful event into a very positive one. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. We are already regular shoppers at this store, but this experience went above and beyond our expectations. As a bonus - knowing that the co-founder of Home Depot is a supporter of President Trump is another reason that I choose Home Depot for many of my shopping needs.

I was very satisfied with this Home Depot. I was looking for a washing machine. They had many options to pick from and a very knowledgeable salesman, named Alex. He made the whole process easy and comfortable. He talked about various options I had not thought about. When I made a decision, the paper work was completed quickly and thoroughly explained. Great experience!

Associates are not well versed in their products. Contractors will not fix problems. Cannot get anyone to answer phone at store.

ORGANIZED, CLEAN

Clean and products easy to find.

I found this store very "user friendly" since there were signs everywhere to help you find what you were looking for. But if that wasn't enough, there were enough associates around to help. The store was clean, organized and the product prices were clearly displayed so you didn't have to hunt around looking to see what an item cost. The associates were friendly and I was offered assistance although I didn't need it this time.

Great knowledgeable staff. Don’t have to look for someone to help!!! What a novel idea. Staff actually asked if I needed help and walked me to where the products were located. The store was clean and the staff were friendly and outwardly smiling! I’ll be back.
