Clean store very helpful employees

I love this Home Depot and live less than 5 minutes away ! It has some very hard-working and great people working there. It is always a joy to shop there.

My wife and I frequent the Portland Home Depot location. We have come to know and trust several of the long time employees in their respective departments and have found their knowledge and advice very helpful. The store is clean, well stocked and open the hours that we find convenient for our sometimes spontaneous projects. The location is also convenient for us. Home Depot is our go to store!

Great store and knowledgeable and helpful staff. Don helped me solve a specific problem with a new door installation. I was confident enough in his assessment to purchase a combination cordless Milwaukee drill / impact drill which exactly solved my problem. I had stripped one of the threshold adjustment screws and 3 out of the 4 screws would not budge. The impact drill which I purchased solved the problem in seconds - even rescuing the stripped screw. I am a happy camper.

Had a great experience this morning! Bought many outdoor plants on sale and had to leave some for later pick up. Employees were kind, courteous, and extremely helpful, from the manager to the high school student who helped load the plants on carts and helped me put them in the car. Will definitely go to Home Depot in the future!

When I purchased an 1895 abandoned home in Westbrook it was not in my vision to know that a year later I would know staffers at Home Depot by first name and be greeted upon entering with huge a 'Hello' and even hugs sometimes. I'm equidistant between 2 big box home improvement stores. Sales aside, the prices are generally right in the same area, quality and selection of product as well, layout of the store is similar. It's the demeanor of the staff at this store that turns the steering wheel in that direction most of the time. On Memorial Day weekend, the kickoff summer home improvement time of the year, the store was staffed up to the max, every single apron was moving as fast as they could with customers waiting for their attention and the registers going full blast. These staffers brought joy and lightheartedness to work with them. I was there 4 days in a row and ONLY saw each of them being pleasant and helpful and fun to customers of all sorts, even the grumpy ones. This points to the culture that Home Depot cultivates with staff. For me - it's the one thing that matters the most.

The store employees are always pleasant and very helpful to woman who may not know exactly what they need.

People are super friendly, upbeat and knowledgeable in the morning. The afternoon shifters are a little less excited to be there.

Garden section has a wonderful variety of annuals, perennials, shrubs, fruit trees etc. Associates are knowledgeable and always ready to help. Love this store!

Great store. Have done a lot of purchases at this store. Very helpful associates. Wish The Home Depot would accept other ID for Military discounts such as a valid state drivers license military id. Very frustrating to be denied a military discount.

This store has plenty of stock, and the employees are eager to please. Don't worry about knowing the location of items, there will be someone to help you find what you need.

I bought a new Cub Cadet snow blower from this store. I live 30 miles from this store. When I got home and tried to use it, the machine would not move forward or backwards. I called the store and spoke to Russell in “tool rental”. Russell stayed on the phone with me for about 2 hours trying to fix the problem. It became apparent that I would have to bring the machine back. This is a 30 miles trip each way in the snow. Russel worked on the machine for about 2 hours. The problem was the belt that drove the wheels was off one pulley and twisted around another. The machine had to be taken apart to get to the belts. Russel did a great job. The money, time and aggravation that this caused me cannot be replaced. Quality control is badly needed somewhere along the lines. This experience has left me with a bad image of Home Depot.
