I visit this store 2-3 times a month and I have found over the past year that all of the associates are very friendly and go out of their way to help customers. In addition they seem to be happy in their jobs and are quite knowledgeable. Even when they can’t help, they will find someone who can. Yesterday an associate solved my problem by showing me how to modify the dishwasher hose so that I didn’t need to buy any parts to make it work. I’ll definitely come back to get what I need at this and other Home Depot stores; this high quality service appears to be the new way of doing business

My mother-in-law went to the other store to get a new kitchen door. They ordered the wrong door 3 times!! After that my husband brought her to Home Depot in Portland and worked with Joe. He got it right the first time.

Randy in Lumber and Donny B. from Receiving were two if the most helpful people that helped me bring my sketches and layman terms to fruition! I have the EXACT drafting table I created in my head now in my art studio thanks to the patience and expertise of Randy and Donny B.. Thanks guys for your help!!

I think this store is amazing and could not have asked for better people to work there. Both Yelie and Justin Pelletier did an outstanding job with helping me find exactly what I was looking for and were very friendly and helpful and did everything they could to ensure I had a successful and welcoming Home Depot Experience. I could not have asked for better help and friendlier assistance. They really put the welcoming "HOME" in Home Depot.

If you're looking for a good team of people to help and go above and beyond - look to these folks. We always have had a pleasant experience and they helped us with our large purchase (even after hours!) Props to Rafael, K, Araceli, Anver, Bob and Greg! Thank you for helping us big time with our large purchase for home improvement.

Staff was very friendly and helpful and we found everything we needed.

Ordered and paid on line. Went to pick it up and use a discount I received in mail. Have to ship item back to warehouse, then back to store, then i have to drive back to store to pick up the item that was in the basket in front of me. Stupid. And stupid of me to order anything on line from them.

This location is my favorite Home Depot location in Southern Maine because of their great customer service. Randy and Connie especially are 2 of the many stellar employees who are super helpful and great to talk to. 5 stars.

Warm, friendly employees who actively seek to assist you, who know their products and can offer helpful advice! Also, the inventory was well organized and fully stocked. Its not the closest HD store to me but I plan on shopping this one from now on!

Creepy associate follows me around the store. I have had a negative experience with him in the past and also witnessed him cursing and swearing at other customers. But if you try to let the service desk know that, they don't address the problem, and he continues to act this way. This has been going on for more than 3 years, and the management is well aware of what is going on, but he's still there. So I will NOT be shopping there anymore.

Jeanne was most helpful and very friendly.

I was unsure where to find something and I wasn't explaining it right. The lady stopped asked me a few questions then gave me precise instructions on where to go find it.

My item was in stoclk but not put out. Barb took control and made it avalible to me. YEA!!!!

The area of the store dedicated to paint and paint supplies has everything you need and the staff there is very knowledgeable.

Another Home Depot location made a mistake on an order. They were pretty quick to take my money, and then 2 weeks later tell me my product was discontinued. The Riverside location had my product, and was very helpful with order, and the refund.

The cashier was especially knowledgable and efficient. There was a pricing confusion and she quickly identified and corrected it. Her name was Jeanne :)

I was searching for a washer and dryer. I was pleasantly greeted by Connie C. who thoroughly helped me find the best washer and dryer for my family. This was my very best experience ever going into a home improvement store. I'll definitely be back! Thank you Home Depot in Portland.

I have been going to Home Depot for years. When I know exactly what I need and where it is located, the store is fine. Apart from the nice woman who checked me out (Jeanne), the rest of the staff was nowhere to be found. That is the norm for Home Depot and has been for many years. Decent products. A complete lack of knowledgeable staff on the sales floor.

We own a handful of rental properties in Portland, ME., so we are always fixing and improving something! This store has a great bunch of folks working there, and most of the time we can find what we are looking for, despite the shortages going on with Covid. We really appreciate you folks! Many thanks!
