Out of the two Home Depot's in Salem, Oregon this one is by far my most favorite to go to. Everything is orderly and easy to find, out of the two stores things are generally in stock at this location. The staff is friendly and even went above and beyond a few times due to dog encounters I've had in the store with aggressive dogs being brought in and trying to attack my service dog. I enjoy the quick and friendly self check out!

I suggest that you seek out Jana at checkout! She is Wonderful!!

We had the great pleasure of working with Marcus Hannah. He went far above and beyond to assist us in a hunt for a storm door. Marcus was SO very polite, engaging and informative. He was able to guide us in purchasing the right door with the features that were important to us. From start to finish Marcus was patient and kind. Thank you so much Marcus! We will surely be back to this location because of his dedicated service.

Came in on Black Friday sale and Brenda, Matt, Debbie, Nicole, Brad all went above and beyond to help honor a price that was listed. It took a while but they were all gracious and kind through the whole process. Best customer service I’ve had in years will shop again ..highly recommend

This review is in regard to the store located on Cherry Ave. in northeast Salem. For a while, this store was having problems. It was difficult to find a helpful employee, delivery people were more interested in trying to find ways out of doing their work than in doing what I paid for and when you could find an employee in store they seemed to be distracted or uninterested in your project. However, that seems to have changed in the last few months. Friendly employees who listen and offer good advice, reasonable COVID safety precautions, clean and tidy store and prices are again competitive. There are only two complaints I have about this store. They need more employees. It is still difficult to find someone when you need help. Also, they need more stock in the store. I have noticed lately that the shelves and bins are empty and often the product or products I am looking for are listed as being available in store when I check online but then when I get to the store, there are none to be found. Minor complaints, these. Overall, as of October 13, 2020, I would give them a 4.5 out of 5 rating. This is up from the 2.5 out of 5 I would have given them back in January.

When I needed paint but couldn’t decide on what finish I wanted, the associate took the time to show me what my color would look like in flat and satin. When I needed to replace some electrical switches and outlets, I knew I didn’t want really cheap ones but I didn’t know what was best for my needs. The associate was great and explained the differences between each type. I consistently find the associates to be knowledgeable and helpful.

Home Depot publicly provides a discount for veterans and their dependents if they are on active duty, retired or have a service connected disability. I asked for the 10% discount as a veteran and was refused the discount because I am JUST a 4 year, war service veteran who is no longer on active duty, did not retire nor had a significant injury from serving. As if my service for the freedoms that the associates and the executives enjoy each day did not matter. I will no longer shop at any Home Depot until this is corrected.

Worst customer service ever from Dawn. She made us feel like we were a burden to her. Sorry for needing to buy a washer and trying to spend our money here. Thanks again to Rose for helping us turn our experience around you deserve a raise.

I didn’t want to give this store even one star, but I had to. I have never had a worse shopping experience than I did today. Employees were rude, untrained and lied about store policy. I will try other Home Depot stores, but will never go to this one again.

I like this store. I just do not like one certain employee who works in the customer service dept. Her name is Tammy. She is rude, does not work well with customers. Unwilling to make sure a customer leaves happy. Stay away from her and you will have a good time there.

Employees are helpful and knowledgeable. If you need assistance in lumber, ask for Daniel. He really knows what he’s doing!

lousy manager, freight in the aisles which the store became an obstacle course to get around, employees standing around talking, doing nothing and no offer to help. store restricted to 1 way in (which is ok) but only 1 way out. employees not scheduled to fulfill enough checkouts.

None of the associates inside the store were wearing masks. Maybe they should get a tape measure to see exactly how far 6 feet is.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SUPPORT. THREE TIME BOUGHT MULCH AND TWICE IT TOOK FOREVER TO GET SOMEONE TO LOAD THEM. THE FIRST TIME 3 PEOPLE WALKED BY AND I ASKED IF THEY COULD LOAD THEM BUT WAS TOLD IT WAS NOT THERE JOB. THEY WERE NOT CART CLEANERS, THE SECOND TIME IT TOOK FOREVER TO HAVE IT LOADED AND TODAY 5/1/2020 CLERK IN GARDEN CENTER TOLD ME THEY HAD ONLY ONE LOADER AND THEY WERE BUSY. HAD A HEART ATTACK RECENTLY AND NOT SUPPOSE TO LIFT. ALSO 3 PEOPLE WELL OVER 65 TRYING TO LOAD THERE GARDEN SUPPLIES. TIME TO GO TO LOWES

The person I spoke with over the phone was clear spoken, friendly, patient, careful to confirm proper information along the process and even correct a previous order that had some information wrong. These are things I'd expect in good retail practices. But he then put a cherry on the top at the conclusion of the order by commenting positively about my choice and what he liked about the product as well, making me as a customer feeling I'd made a good purchase.

I have used the North Salem, (4030 store) most of the time. The store employees are eager to help, give good input and suggestions when I am looking for a specific product. In a store this large, with so many products to choose from, this is very is very important to me. The store is always clean the staff knowledgeable, and help is at hand when needed.

I like Home Depot, but all I wanted was to buy four bags of wood pellets. A forklift driver and his flagger couldn't take 1 minute to cut the new pallet open said they had to call lumber. Waited 10 minutes and no one came. I asked a cashier for scissors and I opened top and got the pellets. Thanks to the two lazy younger employees that have no work ethic. I also heard one say as he was leaving I don't want to do it. Great thanks for your help losers.

clean store, very nice employees, some employees could have a little more knowledge about what things are or where they are in the store ect. (mainly the females) overall i was very pleased about my experience shopping at this particular store that i shop at multiple times a week for my line of work.

Home Depot’s customer service drastically got worser and worser as the years have gone by. I have not shopped here for a while, because Lowe’s is better. Lowe’s didn’t have a certain item which is why we came here. We waited more than 30 minutes for someone to come help us do something as simple as bringing a bathroom fan from the top shelf down which shouldn’t have taken longer than 2 minutes. I’ve asked 3 workers who have denied any help and redirected me to go some where else. In the end, we didn’t buy what we wanted and we don’t plan on coming back anytime soon. No customer should have to search all over the store to find workers who end up denying them service.

I received excellent and knowledgeable help from both the gentleman who assisted me with my electrical needs, and from Jarod, the Pro-Desk agent who helped me with setting up an account.
