Simply put, the employees were professional, courteous, accommodating, and extremely helpful. We were in and out much faster than I expected, and we were able to get what we needed in a pinch.

This is a nice store. And has been in all its locations. Unfortunately, the customer service is not what it used to be. Home Depot Corporate has chosen to downsize the staffing of its stores. So, where once you could always find a knowledgeable representative in any department; now, you have to look through several departments, ask front store personnel to find someone for you, or just give up and do the best you can on your own. Because the staffing is so low, a given staff member (once you find them) frequently has 3 people seeking their assistance at once. The staff are, almost without exception, friendly and interested in assisting. They are just grossly over extended.

Not long ago, I purchased some lumber and a few other things for a home project. I'd taken a 30 foot tape measure into the store, then accidently left it in the cart. I didn't discover I'd left it until a few hours later. I returned to the store and asked if my tape measure had been turned in as lost. I've had this tape measure for more than thirty years and hated that I'd left it behind. The Customer Service attendant polled some employees and one of the young men had found my tape measure in the cart. I wish I'd taken the time to get the young man's name. I regret that part. That one experience of honesty and integrity ensures my continued patronage to this Mesquite, Texas Home Depot.

I have conducted extensive research on a product to complete a home project we had committed ourselves to. We decided that we would utilize our home depot card after locating several like items that caught our attention. From our first phone call we spoke to a young lady named Antoinette who took us thru the entire process even though we changed the color of our product. When we came into the store to actually see the like product she had entered everything as we had asked but the young man there changed it accordingly. The communication for us was excellent and the price was about what we had budgeted except for my misunderstanding of the sale. But Antoinette cleared it up and we were extremely satisfied. We shall return for all future projects.
