Let me start by explaining that I did not require an extensive assistance - I was at the store to purchase an additional 700 square feet of hardwood flooring that I had already purchased nearly 1,000 square feet of to finish off the upstairs of my house. I first went to the flooring department where the associate was busy cutting carpet, so I next went to the Customer Service Desk where I was asked by the associate, "why don't you go back to flooring? There is somebody back there". Since I was arranging for a pick-up of my material at a later date, and I was paying CASH, I thought the transaction would be painless. No, the Customer Service associate could not figure out the SKU of my desired flooring, and even after I handed her my phone with a picture of the rack label, she hemmed and hawed over how to enter the order instead of just asking a more well-trained associate how to do it. This was frustrating to me, but not nearly as frustrating as the associate that interrupted my transaction with my customer service associate to deliver a sandwich and then launch into a dissertation on the sandwich - make, model, ordering process etc. Hey interrupting associate - I as the cash paying customer do not care one bit about the trials and tribulations of a Subway order. I just want to pay for my merchandise and leave. I quit the Wadsworth Home Depot for an extended period of time over their poor customer service, but then bought a new house and started ringing up the HD purchases again, In fact, in the last 12 month period I have spent over $10,000 at Home Depot. I guess I will have to start looking at alternative suppliers until HD can train their associates to treat customers with respect.

I would not recommend this store is you are concerned about the employees or customers wearing a mask. There is no enforcement of the mask policy, only a sign outside that store stating you must wear a mask but no one in the store enforces this policy even to their employees.

The experience in the assorted hardware aisle where loose bolts/screws/etc are leave a lot to be desired. All they had in the aisle were cheap plastic bags to put your assorted loose hardware in the bag. No writing utensils to mark the UPC or prices and no instructions. When I got to the checkout I was forced to go through the employee manned checkout lane. The associate seemed annoyed that I interrupted his conversation with a fellow associate. When I presented the bags of screws/bolts/etc and stated the price for the first one he said "well that means nothing to me" and proceeded to treat me as though I was trying to be dishonest about the prices of the items I had bagged from the aisle. I did not appreciate his demeanor nor did I appreciate being treated like a little child. I will think long and hard before shopping at Home Depot in the future.

The store was unconcerned about safety of the customers or their employees. Only a small percentage of the employees were wearing masks. When I asked about it I was told the govenor has not ordered them to wear PPE. But, if the governor orders masks worn home depot will send the store the necessar equipment. When I said "Wouldn't it be a good idea for the store to protect their shoppers before ordered to do so by the governor" she said yes but the governor had not made such an order. I have shopped this store many times a week for over 20 years. Unless you become more concer about your customers. I will take the several thousands of dollars I spend there each year to another store or shop on line.
