I visited the store today with a long list of things that I needed in several departments. I had a lot of questions, and had an outstanding experience with the first employee I encountered. Then the next, and the next, and the next! I travel 5 miles from my house to go to the Lake Zurich Home Depot instead of the one closer to my home. The store is clean well stocked, all of the employees are super friendly and helpful. I have an amazing experience every time I visit the store!

I rented a trencher and the safety switch did not work. When I informed the associate he stated that he knew about the broken safety switch. I was using this at my home and when I tried to use the safety switch of course it failed. This is not looking out for your customers.

My wife made a trip to this store on 5/23/2021 to exchange some cabinet pulls. Upon checkout, the cashier used her "American" knowledge to pass on that the word pull has two meanings in the US. My wife, who is of Asian descent, is born and raised in Wisconsin and has multiple college degrees allowing her to understand homonyms without the need of "American-splaining." While it may seem like nothing on the surface, this is something I as a white male am never subjected to. It was very dismissive, stemmed from my wifes race and made my wife feel very upset. The fact that this happens in 2021, especially in a time where Asian-Americans are already being targeted for COVID19, it seems Home Depot has some work to do in the code of conduct training deployment. My hope is that this employee (who I am happy to share their name if contacted) is talked to. It is not right to make customers feel that way.

Tonight I needed to pick up lumber for a dock project. Jaygo was SO helfpul. He helped me select the correct lumber, cut it to the size I requested and placed it in my cart. He was friendly and a did a great job with A+ customer service. Thank you!

The Lake Zurich Home Depot is always clean and the employees are very helpful to the best of there ability. Keep up the good work!

Yikes! it took me 2 hours and 15 minutes to check out. None of the cashiers knew how to ring up "tax exempt" status on their cash registers.

The facility is clean and well organized. The employees are friendly and helpful.

This homedepot had all the materials and power tools I wanted. The prices on the power tools were even better than those listed on internet sites.

We love the ease of getting an associate's help immediately upon arriving in the store! Everyone is sincere and knowledgeable and seem to be very happy with their role at Home Depot.

Excellent store. I shop here a lot. This time, for a counter-top for our Main Bathroom. GREAT service from Vicky in the kitchen and bath department. Really friendly installation company - Wilcor Solid Surface in Elk Grove. I'll be back, and I recommend this store to everyone else.

In general, have you thought about adding a small grocery section. It could help save time running from store to store, parking again, another checkout line. Just milk, snacks, candy and a few basic items along those lines. Jewel food stores do have a hardware isle. :- ) Another general suggestion. Your tool isles are congested. There is a lot in a small area. I realize real estate is expensive. A small sign in the hand tool isle pointing out that electrical tools are over by the electric supplies might get a few more sales. Just sharing.

The people that work there are amazing. They take the time to actually help you and not just say go to aisle such and such.

This review is actually about the products, not the store. Several years ago, maybe 2015/16, not sure, I bought black top sealer in Wisconsin dells to seal a new driveway laid in 2013. I used the 10 year warranty product, 2 coats as specified, used a squeegee as recommended. It was like 5 pails per application. About 2018 in was coming off in places, 2019 more, 2020, it only remains in a few spots. I thought about finding the receipts and doing a warranty, but the warranty is to provide more of the same. That is not a solution, so there is no point in filing a warranty claim. I have photos. I actually live in Chicago, the house up north is a weekend place. Gets very little use, so it did not come off from too much driving or oil leaks.

A garage door was ordered incorrectly thru CoPay. I was told I needed to go back to the store to get the window issue resolved. After speaking to a sales person the he called in Angelika from your "back" office. I gave her a pretty hard time at first. She has impressive soft skill and deescalated the situation immediately. she promised and called me back within a few hours with an acceptable solution. Home depot should be proud to have Angelika working in your customer service department

My husband and I were shopping for a new front door. This can be an exhausting and frustrating endeavor. With Joe Silvestri's expertise and patience, we found a door that will fit our needs and finances. All employees are helpful. If I am looking for something, they won't tell what aisle to look in, they will SHOW me exactly where the item is. Many employees ask how you're doing as you walk the aisles.

The customer service John (unfortunately I did not get his last name) was outstanding! I would like to let his manager know that John took the time to listen and he owned the situation then took the initiative to help us in our dilemma by locating and replacing the damaged freezer we had purchased from the Lake Zurich Home Depo about two hours before. We live almost 20 miles from the Lake Zurich store in Glencoe. Our home refrigerator had stopped working and everything was melting. When we told John about our situation he stepped up and made sure that we had a freezer for our food. John also gave us a 10% discount for our inconvenience since had to make two round trips a little more than 70 miles. John with your help we were able to save a full freezer of food! Thank you again for all your help it was very much appreciated!!

Great advice from people who really know their stuff. I didn't want any battery yard equipment. They seemed cheep and short working time. . Store employee promised me I would be happy with the new EGO blower and trimmer. I was shocked at how easy, quiet and powerful they were. So happy he was there and talked me out of gas or corded.

I have never had a bad experience in the um-teen yeas of shopping there and the staff I have interacted with has been helpful, pleasant and professional.

Lake Zurich, IL treated me immediately like family from the time I received "Excellent Service" with employee Levi (Plumbing). He assisted me at the beginning over the phone to the time I left. Levi brought me my products to Customer Service on my arrival and Customer Service Laurie helped me to my car. I've been a member of Home Depot since 2012 and this store location treated me like I was a part of the "Home Depot Family"! Thank you for the Awesome Excellent Outstanding Service (Levi, Laurie & Manager Michael)!

Store aisles are too cluttered with impulse displays. It's an obstacle course. Paint department is out of 2 types of sample jars for tinting. What should have been a $5 paint patch cost $17 for a quart. And the paint guy did not care he was out of samples.
