        Excellent Customer Service by Assistant Manger
        Assistant Manager Michelle saved a sale as we were leaving the store frustrated by the Customer Service desk person & the sales clerk. Both offered to help with our purchase of a John Deere riding mower but actually wasted our time as they really could do nothing but ring up the purchase. We were leaving without the mower when she saw our distress and asked if everything was ok. Long story short she made everything right, stayed with us till the sale was complete and the mower loaded into our trailer. She saved the sale for Home Depot & saved our day as we had traveled 2 hours from our rural home to bring home a new mower.

          Horrible customer service, I would give them zero stars if I could.
          To whom it may concern. I had the most unfavorable experience in the Jantzen Beach Oregon store. As the parts & service director of a FORD dealership I understand the challenges we face these days with finding, training and retaining employees. I also understand the importance of customer service and how to handle difficult situations. My visit to your Jantzen Beach Home Depot in Portland Oregon. I live in Warrenton and it seems I frequent our local Home Depot on a weekly basis. I had recently purchased a sliding shower door and shower pan from our local Home Depot. I am currently remodeling our guest bath and master bath. I liked the price and products I purchased, unfortunately our local store only had one of each. So the store associate was able to locate the same products at the Jantzen beach store. I was very thankful of the professionalism and customer service our local associate provided me. After loading up my recent purchase I called the Jantzen beach store and that is when the run around started. The first associate I spoke to informed me I can not do will call over the phone I would have to be in the store to place items in will call. That sounded incorrect to me. So, I asked to be transferred and I was hung up on. I then called back and spoke to another associate and again asked to purchase these two items over the phone to be will called. They transferred me to another associate, and I again asked to purchase these two items that I had SKU numbers for. Again, I was transferred to another associate and again hung up on. So, in my humorous ways I thought well the third time is the charm right, so I called back again. This time I was able to get to an associate that was very friendly and helpful. I was able to make my purchase over the phone and arrange for pick up on Saturday the 11th of March. I felt confident that everything was handled. So, fast forward to Saturday the 11th and I drove the two hours to the Jantzen Beach Home Depot store. I get in line for the customer service/pickup desk. After waiting for my turn, I got to an associate named Annie. I explained to Annie that I was there to pick up a will call order and I provide Annie the order number. As she is looking it up she informs me that the order is not scheduled to be pick up until the 18th of March. I advised her that I had drove two hours to get my items that I had purchased over the phone and I was informed that I could pick them up on the 11th. Annie then said well your items are not ready so you will have to come back on the 18th. I kindly asked her to see if there is anything she could do as I drove two hours, her response was the items are out on the floor you can go get them yourself. My jaw dropped, this was absolutely the last thing I would of thought of hearing from a “customer service associate”. I kindly informed Annie that that is not ok and that I was told my items would be ready for pick up on Saturday the 11th, if that was not thee case I surly would not of drove the two hours on way for fun. Annie than said well I don’t know what to tell you other than you will have to come back on the 18th. I then asked Annie if she could please call a store manager. Annie than called the store manager and said I have an upset customer here because he showed up on the wrong day to get his order and its not ready and he wants to speak to you. Over the phone I heard the manager tell Annie just pull his order I don’t have time to talk to him. Again my jaw dropped with shock of the lack of customer service this store offers. So, Annie than pages an associate for an order pick up. When the associate calls Annie she informs him I have an upset customer here that showed up on the wrong day to get his order and it is not ready yet but we need to pick it. I was blown away at her lack of customer service and compassion for the customer. I felt like I was a big inconvenience to Annie and Home Depot at this point. I asked Annie to please call the manager and advise them I still would like to speak to them. Annie did as I had asked, and I was informed the manager was too busy and I would have to wait. I was then asked to stand over on the side and wait for my items and it may be up to an hour before they are ready. As I stood waiting, I continued to watch the train wreck of poor customer service that this Home Depot is providing to almost every customer that approached the customer service desk. After waiting for about 15-20 minutes a manager by the name of Michelle arrived. She said what do you need in a very unprofessional and annoyed manner. I started off by introducing my self and informed her of the transaction from the attempts to place the will call order leading up to her and I have this conversation. Her reply was okay, I said I am sorry. How can your response be, okay? She said well your order is not ready and it will not be ready unit the 18th. Again, I explained that was not what I was told and again how I drove two hours one way to pick up my order. Michelle’s response again was okay. I explained to her that okay was not a reasonable response and I felt I was being treated as an inconvenience. I also explained how customer service should work and how you are supposed to express all options to help the customer. It is very easy to tell your customers, let me see how I can help rather than treat them like an inconvenience. Michelle’s response was, I just got done moving a pallet of concrete; I said I am sorry I am not sure what that has to do with my order. At that point Michelle said let me see what I can do. The simple yet effective response I was looking for from the beginning not over an hour later. After another 15 minutes of waiting, I was informed by Michelle that my order is being pulled and it will be ready soon. Ten minutes later I was loading up my order and, on my way for the two hour drive back home. Unfortunately, this took over two hours of my time for a situation that only took less than ten minutes to resolve. I advised Michelle that her team needed some serious coaching in customer service and she could use some management training her self she said yea I know, we are doing the best we can. The truth is they are not doing the best they can. If so, this whole situation could have been avoided and handled in a lot less time and with a lot less inconvenience. I feel in my profession experience of over 26 years in management and customer service the Jantzen beach Home Depot needs some training and coaching. I hope this long-winded email can portray to you the pain point from not only a customer but a business professional. I am welcome to provide you any other detail and or feed back from my experience if you find it helpful.

            We had our microwave delivered to our rv today and we’re informed they do not install in rv’s. We took delivery anyway because it wasn’t the delivery guys fault. They were really nice about it.

                              The Microwave convection oven was the best deal in town
                              I bought a Vissani Microwave Convection air fry oven at the Jantzen Beach Home Depot. When I brought it home opened the box it was so easy to put it together, just 4 pieces. The price was amazingly marked down $50.00! I needed it because my stove went on the blink and I had nothing to bake my Turkey and pies/cakes in for Thanksgiving. Because of this great oven's great price and Home Depot we will have homemade Thanksgiving dinner.

                                Since this summer I bought sooooo many things at Home Depot. Because I need paint and repair my deck(I’m a woman), so I bought paint, wood, tools, bricks, concrete mix…anything I needed, some was very heavy duty, but I don’t need worried at all, because Home Depot employees are sooooo awesome, they make customers any easy way they can, today I bought two heavy duty shelf, I need someone help me cut it, then I back home I can install it, a employee named Dave fuller walk around the store to try find the tool helped me cut them. I am very appreciate it, thanks Home Depot training employees so nice, make customers like shopping in our “home” LOL.

                                      Couldn't find my order / couldn't get help loading
                                      I ordered a generator online and had it shipped to the store. The kid helping me had no idea where it was stored. I spent a lot of time waiting around for the kid to walk back and forth in the store looking for my order. Since the generator was heavy I needed help loading it. It took some time to get someone to help me load it in my truck.

                                          I got the best customer service I have had in several years on a visit to the Jansen Beach Home Depot Garden Department today. Employee Conan went out of his way to be helpful, courteous, and provided the best level of customer service possible. The store and this employee are to be commended!

                                            Inaccurate inventory
                                            We called from the Sherwood Home Depot to confirm that the specific lumber item that we were seeking was in stock at the Tomahawk Island location. The employee we spoke to assured us that it was. After a 24 mile drive we found that the item was NOT in stock. And, frankly, the employees could have cared less. An improvement in customer service and inventory would be advised.

                                              Very sad at the way I was treated
                                              I was in the store today 6-11-22 to by a new microwave and found the perfect one for my family and myself. All of them were stocked in the same place/spot on the shelf and for 79.98 a great price or so I thought. When I went to check out it rang up $149.98 which for the unit is still a great price but I told the associates it was priced 79.98 on the shelf. We had to go look and sure enough they were there in the wrong spot so the appliance worker said to call the manager to honor their mistake when she did she lied to the manager in front of me and told me they wouldn’t honor the mistake and still treated me like trash. So I left the line to go to customer service on my way there another associate grabbed my cart and started yelling at me like I was a thief. I tried to explain myself that I needed to talk to a manager she tried to grab my cart and threatened to hit me. Very unexpected I would like to speak to someone in corporate asap until then myself and my company (a very large company) will no longer be doing business at the Home Depot

                                                  Went in to buy some spray paint. The employee who came to help was very impatient. Rushed into picking out the colors i wanted. My partner wanted some paint pens which were right there and he clearly heard us discussing them. Immediately we were quickly escorted to check out sans paint pens, while the employee stated “I HAVE to walk you guys to the register” like we were criminals. I would like to mention that while he walked us to the register he left the lock cage to the spray paint OPEN for anyone to help themselves. No smiles or have a good day from anyone. I did self checkout it was the best part of the trip. Ps one of the spray paint cans was a dud and will be returning!!
