I dislike going to the hardware store. It's confusing to me and I have a hard time finding things. The employees at the Emeryville HD are helpful and knowledgeable. One person stood out to me in particular: Tianna helped me to resolve an annoying issue in an efficient and accommodating way. The people in this store make all the difference!

The staff was so very nice, caring, friendly and so helpful! Store #0627 is the bomb! I have never received such excellent service! I really felt so appreciated! This store is so immaculate and organized! I love store #0627!

This store usually has fairly good inventory. Employee Dani, who usually processes refunds is very professional, and polite. There is a thin Asian lady with short glasses, who has been an employee there for quite some time....She seems to have very good knowledge of keeping things "moving" in the store.

The place has employed rogue employees who instead of helping you starts lecturing you on greetings , be the judge spectacular poor customer service

To ring a item out is crazy and disorganized. This is the only HD that don’t have it together when it comes to ringing out the customer. You never know where the lines starts. It is just a mess.

It is very convenient to shop here since its locality is very great for Berkeley of course Oakland .

The security cameras suck..Please dont leave any valuables inside you vehicle. I went into the store for none less than 10 minutes and all my tools were stolen. They pick lock my locks and took more than $9000 dls worth of tools.

The Emeryville store is well stocked and the staff can be contentious.

Associates are very helpful during this state, i wish you had more securtiyofficers at the doorsto enforce a presence

Initially a very positive in store experience. One associate, Aki, was extremely helpful and kind. Helped me purchase a large tool chest and waited in line with me to help me arrange for delivery...awesome service! Unfortunately, a COMPLETELY different experience afterward on the phone and with delivery itself...nobody contacted me about the delivery on the scheduled day, my tool chest never showed up and now nobody at the store wants to answer the phone to help me resolve. I called and the phone rang for 12 straight minutes before someone picked up. Finally someone answers, then they transfer me and whomever I was transferred to took another 3 minutes to answer then hung up on me to cut off the call! AWFUL and extremely frustrating!

"Dani" at the return counter is one of the best and most professional people there. She is always extremely courteous, despite having to deal with tons of angry customers. She goes out of her way, to keep customers informed. She makes up for the other employees, where the majority of them are just "punching the clock", and waiting to go home. The store sometimes does not have items in stock. If online claims 3 in stock, chances are you won't find the item there. It's quite a busy store and wait time to get in the store, due to Covid-19, can be prolonged and frustrating.

The associates at the store have almost always stopped what they are doing and most of the time if they don't have an answer they take me to the spot or to a person that has expertise on the question I asked. Also, yesterday I was feeling pretty scattered, had my hands and pockets full of products (I'm a Handyman) and I was standing in the checkout line. A young (I'm 75 so most are young) lady came up to me and just said "C'mon" I followed her lead to the cash register, and she took my stuff away, scanned it, checked my VA card for disabilities, put it back in my wallet and in my back pocket, got a bag, and loaded up my stuff in the bag. She could not have done more. I shop at the Emeryville store almost daily in my busier times (Pro-Handyman) and have been treated very well at that store.

This store has very poor customer service. The plant I was trying to buy today didn’t have a tag. The employee scanned a totally different plant that was more expensive and I had to tell the employee that it was more expensive than the plant I was buying. She said she couldn’t look up the plant by the name and then I had to go get the same plant from outside and bring it back and the employee didn’t care or say thanks for doing her job.

Employees here are great especially Betty, she rocks. So helpful, and friendly. I recently was a problem customer and needed more assistance than a person in retail should have to provide and she was AMAZING and so nice. Will definately be back to see here when I am in need. They also have a great selection of everything a do it yourselfer would need and at a competitive price. Drive past 3 other hardwear stores to shop here.

This store has horrific customer service, employees are rude and dismissive. Every time I've been in there they will talk amongst themselves and ignore customers. Have even had an employee who I asked a question to, look at me, shrug and walk away. The only good thing I can say about this location is an employee named Kivon, on my last trip there he went out of his way to help me find back stock of an item that I desperately needed. He was friendly the entire time and extremely helpful. There was only one left on the shelf and it had a broken wheel. He asked someone to come get the forklift and check for us, kept checking on us and made sure we got the item. Great service!

The only matter I can think of in re to improvement of #0627, is that there should be more operators answering telephone inquiries. It is not unusual to wait for 15 to 20 minutes or more for a response.

The worst Home Depot in the Bay Area. Unhelpful employees. Items often in the wrong locations on shelves. Shelf slots often empty, requiring you to track down an employee to pull the item out of an overflow location. Often out of stock on items shown as in stock online. Going to this Home Depot will add 1-2 hours of unnecessary time to your project. It is faster to just drive to a different Home Depot or just buy things online.

Sadly I would have to say I recommend the store because it is the only store close to our home. Otherwise I would not. I say this because the lack of professionalism of its employees. This evening we literally had an employee SCREAMING at my husband same he stole a canvas. She claims she has seen you put it in my bag. She was screaming so loud purposely so that other people can hear. My husband was nowhere near the canvus!! Do what he told her that she still continued to call him a theif!! REDICULOUS BEHAVIOR
