The Downers Grove store is my go to place for almost everything from hardware goods to gardening. Even an occasional hot dog. Great people, excellent products, and excellent service.

Question on my receipt today was "DID WE NAIL IT?" Absolutely"!! Cannot think of another store I visited in the past year of any kind that would compare to the high quality helpful attitude I encountered with multiple store employees at the Home Depot location at 2000 Butterfield Rd in Downers Grove. The help finding a replacement ceiling electrical fixture was unsolicited by me and was just someone trying to be helpful. I encountered at least 4 others including my cashier who could not have been more pleasant offering to help find something and everyone sounded sincere and not some sort of memorized script they are required to repeat when encountering a customer. This seems to be a rare attitude lacking in any kind of reatail store these days but obviously made my shopping experience today a very positive one. There is a sweepstakes entry noted on my receipt but I would have written the same review irregardless of a sweepstakes entry opportunity. Hope others have the same experience I had today and one that was definitely in tune with the forth coming holidays. Thanks much to the staff at this Home Depot for all your help today.

I can generally find the items I need anytime of year. Very good customer service. Overall a very good shopping experience. Keep up the good work.

I don't know if my info on your employee, Florin, was sent to you. I sure hope so. He's an outstanding young man who helped me immensely with my decisions on finding a Handleset for my new front door. I wrote 500 characters praising him. He brought me from overwhelmed in choosing a new handle set to laughing and purchasing more. I made an error when I implied that other employees were not friendly, etc. I didn't have any interaction with other employees except for the cashier who did not welcome me and did not make an effort to be friendly or cheerful.

The employees are all very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. I purchased a new vanity and toilet and they were both in stock. The service I received was outstanding.

Employees are very knowledgeable and helpful across the various departments in the store. I have always experienced great service and helpful advice regarding various projects for my home.

Don't try to get any assistance at 9:15 am on a Sunday It seemed like all the scheduled workers slept in. No one in the millwork Dept, garden center closed, no help to be found besides the cashier

The employees helped me know what I was looking for and pointed me in the exact location with kindness and patience. Theaus and Chuck made a great team of professional, helpful gentleman. I had fun after a long day of giving so much of myself to others that I appreciated their relentless efforts to understand what I was looking for! It was a fun trip because of them for sure!! My exchange was simple and professional as well.

David the cashier was very friendly and personable

I worked with Pam & Jan in the kitchen area & both were top notch, couldnt have asked for better experience. They were both professional & friendly, very knowledgeable about the products, efficient, relaxed, no pressure. I am a little bit overwhelmed with all the remodeling & decisions and they both were very helpful & patient, even after I made some changes to orders. Thank you both.

The paint department employee Karen is very knowledgeable. Everything you need is right there.

This store has switched to ONLY self checkout. You get to do the work, with no employee discount, and their prices are still higher than the other big box stores. Good luck finding help in this place- I'll never return.

I can always find what I'm looking for at the Downers Grove store. Store is always clean and staff is pleasant.

I enjoy shopping at Home Depot in Downers because the employees are so helpful and get me what I need so I can get my projects done! The store is also nice and clean and easy to shop. Everyone I talk to there is friendly and more than happy to spend time talking with me and helping me solve any problems I am having with my projects or repairs.

Again, the store is nice and people are helpful. You just need to have more people in the garden area.

this store has above average employees from the specialty departments like appliances to the check-out girls up front for general items. I was greatly impressed with all the employees attitudes, and had an excellent experience there also ending up purchasing appliances. Thank you very much!

Waited an Hour and got lied to about the forklift being occupied and a licensed driver to be found. Saw the idle forklift. We had to ask SIX people for help. Two of which called on phone for someone to assist us. One called over the intercom. Was told we were third in line for the idle forklift.

Downers Grove Home Depot ProDesk has an exceptional staff! ALWAYS go that "Extra Mile" to get it right for their Customers/Pros! These are my go-to guys for sure!

The store associates were nice and very helpful. The store was clean and all items were in stock. They were also able to order my item that was special order.
