EXCELLENT customer service

find what I need most of the time

I came in to grab lumber and paint for a Christmas Yard Decorations project. The girl at the paint desk (Delany) was incredible - she was by herself but still took the time to help everyone (the desk was slammed with people). She handled rude customers with grace, and even chatted with my 2 kids (4 and 7 years old) who were super excited about tinting and shaking the paint. I waited at least 10 min to talk to a manager to share how helpful she was.

The store is always neat and clean. The staff is friendly, helpful as well as knowledgable. 99.9% of the time the store has the product that I'm looking for and that's the best possible rating that I give.

Able to get what we went in for; received great care

I was buying 5 sheets of plywood in my cart. During the checkout, when requested cashier Brian didn't provide a loader, saying the loader had 3 hernia operations. Then he appears to call a different loader, and said, the loader didn't respond so even if I waited, the loader may or may not come. He also was specific on where I should wait, came and moved my cart further. I waited, but had to load without any help. I have never had any problems with any other employees or stores, more than 15 years being a customer. Even on that specific day, there was another gentlemen who helped me, when asked few questions.

Employee HEATHER provided outstanding customer service and knowledge in order to successfully help us complete our order. She went above and beyond in assisting our search for specific items as well as provided us with relevant options available to us that we did not know was available prior to speaking with her. Very grateful for her time and wonderful attitude helping us today.

The store looks like my sons room, disorganized, cluttered, and no one knows where things are. I go to this location because it is near by and it is convenient but if this store does not clean up their act I will go else where. I know we are living in challenging times but work is work and everyone should be on board to do their best once the enter the building. This store is constantly busy and I understand that sometimes things happen but every time I go into the store, it is nothing but pallets everywhere with inventory that needs to be put away. Perhaps management could chip in and get it done versus waiting on the worker bees to do it, work as a team or it simply will not get done.

There is a knowledgeable staff at this Home Depot. This Home Depot is busy for good reason. the staff know their stuff and consumers return to this store to purchase from it. More Home Depot's should be like this one. Great experience ordering special order items!

While attempting to purchase some lumber to complete a deck project my son and I picked through the last bits of the 2x6 selection on the floor for undamaged reasonably straight boards. There were not many left on the floor so I asked a store employee to bring one of the stacks down from the rack as we still needed 35 more boards for the project. He was very apologetic when telling me that there was no driver assigned to his group and he would not be able to help. Not his fault that there was not a qualified operator, but I would expect that he would go find an operator and help the customer. Instead he was fine just standing there staring at me. I asked if there was a manager I could speak to so we could get a lift operator over to help us, the employee got visibly flustered and convinced an operator to come help. When the two gentlemen returned I was simply told to sort through the stack again as there was no room available to store the scrapped wood. Trying to be reasonable my son and I went through the boards again and decided to take some that were not optimal, but we could make work. At that point the aisle was barricaded off as if they would bring the lumber down, but the employees did not return and after 20 minutes I was more than frustrated and decided to purchase what we had on our cart and leave. The amount I spend at Home Depot in a year certainly won’t tip any scales, but I assure you I will not return to that store and I will share my experience with the folks I know.

Home Depot- Bothell has excellent plants that are healthy, last a long time in my garden, and are sold at great prices.

I asked an employee Goeff how to cut plexiglass. He marched off in a big hurry leaving me sprinting with the cart to catch up. He then pointed to the display. I repeated my question and he went on this rant about how difficult and sharp it was, but stopped in mid sentence and asked me if I was understanding him with an exasperated look. I thanked him for his help and turned to leave at which point he stormed off saying that he'd answered my question. I just kept on walking and left the store.

The store employees are friendly and knowledgeable. When I went to the help desk to ask questions about corrugated poly carbonate panels the clerk did not have the answers nor could he find someone who did. So he printed out the Suntuf catalog with installation instructions. Then when I went to check out, there were lines at all of the registers so I went to the self checkout even though I had a cart full of lumber. Nadine stepped right in and helped me to ring up everything quickly and get me on my way.

Very hard to find customer assistance and when I did the assistant was a very little help and rude.

Honestly HD should be able to do better, much better, even in these difficult times. Can I recommend this store, no I would not for a number of reasons. Sanitation seems low especially for the self checkouts where you now use a handheld scanner... which might not be an issue in normal times but these are not and as this is clearly a "high touch" point these items should be cleaned, between each customer. I saw no means of cleaning the scanner being provided, nor did a member of staff clean them between customers - this is something that I have seen in other stores, so perhaps something HD should also be doing. I chose this store as the items I wanted were shown as being in stock and I had noted the isle/bay locations so that I could minimize my time in-store - sadly that failed miserably as one item was not where it was shown as being... so eventually found an associate to ask - who confirmed that the bay was completely empty of any products, not just the one I was after... so then the hunt for where it really was started. The associated located the item 7 bays away, but on an upper shelf. "No, we cannot use the instore step ladder" that was 10ft away "We need the forklift truck".. fine... but the only forklift truck driver was AWOL... so wait continued, despite being able to see the item. If you are still with me then well done but, you are probably wondering how this ended ... well after another 20 mins the forklift truck did arrive, then after another few mins of setting up and closing off the area the pallet was placed on the floor and I was able to pick out of the open box the item I wanted. I can only hope that the staff took the extra time to place the pallet in the correct location so that the next customer does not have to go through the same 40 min wait for an "off-the-shelf" item. In normal times perhaps I would have wandered around the store to pass the time, but these are not normal times and frankly when you are passed by a store associate who had their mask tucked under their chin, i.e. no face covering at all, it does not do anything to make you feel that this store or HD itself is doing all they reasonably can to help reduce the spread of Covid-19. Where there any pluses coming from this unfortunate trip to the store? Yes - I can say that the original and final store associates who helped me with my purchase were both courteous, helpful and apologetic for the time that I had to wait. So well done to them, but HD needs to make some serious improvements in other respects... maybe this review will prompt their management to contact me and confirm that they have indeed made improvements that not only enhance the shopping experience but also make us all that little bit safer. If you see similar sanitation issues whilst in-store then I would encourage you to also provide feedback so that the HD management see that this is not just a one off.

I cannot get assistance from the store. The store associates have no knowledge of how the installation process is. Very frustrate to the customers.

The paint department is excellent. Mary is great and very helpful. Has answers about color, and product. Always willing to help.

Patrick and the Store Manager were very helpful, I was desperate and in need of a freezer and there was none online to buy so they let me buy the floor model, which they didn't have to.

I was very thrilled and impressed at the personnel in this store. I have had a few lackluster visits. However, my most recent visit has gone a long way in restoring my jaded view. The associate I worked with was assailed with constant phone calls and interruptions. Nevertheless, she managed to put in a stellar work ethic and courtesy that any boss would be proud of.

We had help from Bill in Plumbing today and he couldn't of been nicer and more helpful with our purchases of a shower stall kit. He went above and beyond, in our opinion, getting our products and helping us load them in the truck. Thank you Bill!

What a great experience! The team at the Bothell Home Depot is fantastic. I always get great help and great advice... I don't shop anywhere else!
