This is the only primer I will use on exposed raw wood or where cuts to pre-primered wood. It dries pretty quickly, but since it is oil based. I recommend applying it outdoors or if done indoor only with very good ventilation. Also, keep in mind more than one coat is typically needed to properly prime wood.

Poor coverage
I purchased 7 plus cans of this spray and it doesn't cover well. I was repainting some metal sheets 5 inches wide 6 to 8 feet various lengths. One can could hardly cover two pieces. You get what you pay for but the price isn't even cheap.

Hmm. One 16-ounce can of Zinsser Cover Stain is designed to cover approximately 12-15 square feet. Please keep in mind, that this coverage is dependent on application method and surface porosity.

Easy Spray Primer
Repainting black shelves was so much easier using a spray on primer product. The coverage was mostly consistent and I will use this again on future painting projects.

It did what I wanted it to do.
The paint came out of the can well. It covered (primed) my project well so that the next coat of paint would adhere properly. The spray paint made the task white easy and cleanup was a snap (threw the empty can away).

Primer that works.
Cover Stain spray works great to coat hard to reach areas and is great for quickly spot priming radiators!

I did not purchase a six pack of this!
Felt like it didn't provide as great a coverage as I had hoped. It's primer...it BELOW the paint I put on top of it. How could I possibly provide a picture?!
