Works to cover spilled perfume smell on concrete but the product itself had lingering smell
It covered the smell of spilled perfume by previous tenant but the lingering chemical smell was so strong and lasted for days with fans venting outside. But after a week of venting everything is fine.

Let's see what we can figure out. Zinsser Cover Stain Oil Based Primer Spray will have an odor similar to all oil based primers and paints. To help dissipate the odor faster, the surface can be wiped with a cloth dampened with dish soap (e.g., Dawn) and water.

That is not what we like to hear, Anthony! It sounds like the nozzle of our Zinsser Cover Stain Oil-Based Primer Spray was clogged. Inside each spray can is a dip tube that pulls the primer from the bottom of the can to the tip. If the pigment in the primer is too big or if there's not enough pressure behind it, it can get stuck in the tube or tip and the primer won't spray. Try turning the can upside down and spraying for a few seconds. If the clog is in the tip, soaking it in mineral spirits should clear it out. The Oil Base Primer provides a great under coat before painting on surfaces that need to be waterproofed. It is a cheaper alternative than Flex Spray. Great suggestion from the Home Depot Paint Department. I will begin recommending this option to others.
