Product is as advertised!
No trouble at all with installation. Area at end of driveway and sidewalk is now visible at night and motion sensor is a plus. Stays on all night, as advertised!

Built very good and mostly met all of my expectations
I reviewed many options but this had the best features for a Solar Lamp-post. It has excellent power and was built very sturdy. I put cement on bottom section to provide more strength. The only issue was the glass enclosure for the lamp. Instead of a completely clear glass it was etched and had air bubbles. This meant that the light was diffused with a bubbly pattern. It would have provided better lighting with a clear glass unless if you prefer a decorative pattern. The information of the product did not mention or show this effect and if it had I would have not bought it.

Very bright. great appearance.
Nice product. Metal construction. Very bright in low power mode with about double the diameter of light in high power mode.

Nice, until the globe filled with inches of rain water!
Lamp was very attractive right out of the box. We used the template to properly measure a 12" X 12" hole and poured quikrete to fill. Covered it and waited 24 hours, then installed post and lamp globe. It did as advertised after charging for a day and illuminated about as well as a solar lamp can. The motion detector worked and it got slightly brighter when someone passed. Days later, we had a drizzling rain for about 2 days and the globe filled with water. Returned it to the store with no hassles. Will purchase another from HD without question. We have had good service from HD thus far. Sad lamp though!

The light never worked. After charging for several days it would not illuminate at all!

Problems
I purchased this unit in April 2013 and now in November 2013 it has problems. I noticed the switch which is in a rubber housing is half full of water. That means that water is getting in through the solar array on top. I really did like this light. Now I am disappointed it only stays on for a few hours. I guess I will have to do the kubiki dance with the warranty.

Dud lamp
The first lamp and the second lamp(replacement) that I received were defective. They worked OK until it rained and the glass lamp filled almost to the top with rain water. Needless to say, it hasn't worked since. Another replacement is on the way and if that one doesn't work, I will request a refund.

Best All-around Solar Option
The quality, ease of installation, appearance, and features of this light were excellent. I studied all options available to me in the solar category prior to purchase and found this light was the only one offering motion sensors and vaiable light settings (to include an on/off switch). It was also more reasonably priced than models offering fewer features. The product was received in timely fashion, in good condition and was easy to assemble and install. Instead of forming a cement pad for the lag bolts I used a drilled out 16x16 paving block for leveling and rerod stakes driven through the predrilled holes in the block. All has worked well so far. Just insure the rerod is long enough to firmly anchor the remainder of the unit. We have used this unit for more than a month and found that it produces more than enough light (you can even read under it if close enough in the bright mode). In reduced mode with motion sensor on it has burned all night. Depending on your druthers, you might find the flagstone effect created from the pebble-grained chimney not to your liking. It was a doubt for us at first. However, we actually like it now that we have used the unit.

These lites are fantastic
I had high hopes for these lights and they exceeded my expectations. I poured a concrete pad 12" X 12" and installed the lights on that. The lights assembled in about 15 min. and I let them charge all day. That night they came on and worked perfectly. I wished I had bought more when they were on sale. Great value.

Very stylish, great quality lamp
I purchased this lamp a few months ago and did not install in in my yard until this past weekend. The lamp is made of glass and a lightweight metal which gives it a stylish look and feel. And as promised, it stays on the entire night (dusk to dawn). On low setting it provides an adequate amount of light to my dark yard. However, the lamp has not detected any motion so that aspect of the lamp I will have to downgrade. But overall the lamp is lightweight, very easy to put together and looks very expensive in my yard. You will need something something such as a concrete pad or block of treated wood to bolt the lamp to if installing in a flowerbed. Overall, this lamp is a definite MUST BUY.

Excellent. Free light using the sun
First unit they sent me was a dud. It never worked from day one. It had a charge but after the initial charge was gone it didn't recharge, so I had to return it. Second unit is doing great. I leave it on and it gets enough sunlight in sunny Southern California. I like the 300 lumens, which is pretty high, a lot of other ones are 100 or so lumens. To me this was most important.

EXTREMELY POOR PRODUCT!!!!!!!
This product is TOTALLY USELESS! Illumination was impossible because there were NO SOLAR LED BULBS in the globe!!!!!!! Nowhere in the literature was it mentioned that LED bulbs were not included. When I contacted the manufacturer re: this matter, a total of 4 phone conversations, I was "waltzed around" with NO RESOLUTION of the issue.......and Home Depot does not have the bulbs for sale.....I resolved the problem.....I returned the product for a full refund and will NEVER purchase anything from this manufacturer again! Totally disgusted consumer in Cochecton, N.Y.

It does not re-charge the battery and provides no light.
It looked great the first day and the light was on all night. I guess it came charged because it has never been on since. There are no trees around and we have had sun today, but still it does not turn on.

Perfect!
I bought this lamp post for a problem area by the front walk. There is a step down and in the winter the landscape lights do not charge as they should due to low light conditions. I was hoping this lamp post would do the job of lighting the walk but I was a bit worried because this area doesn't get a lot of direct sunlight especially in winter. I was very surprised when I put the lamp post up on a very overcast day. It stayed lit all night and into the next morning until I left for work around 8:00 a.m. It does a great job of lighting the area and when you approach the post it emits a brighter light if you use the auto setting. We used 12" long landscape nails through the holes in the base to stake it securely in the flower bed. It looks great. Easy assembly. Lightweight. Stylish. Functional. I would highly recommend this product.

Very nice :)
Let me start out by saying the quality was far more superior than I would have imagined. I love the "bubbled" look in the glass. The actual lantern was bigger than I had imagined so was thrilled with that, as well. The entire piece is made very well and is quite sturdy. I was afraid it may have been something that I'd considered "flimsy" but on the contrary....very study and well built. There is even a diagram on how to install it into concrete (or deck) which I appreciated. Very pleased and think you will be, too. The ease of solar vs. electric was also a HUGE factor..you'd never know by looking at it that it's solar....which is so cool!
