No frills, but the price is right! I think this a good fridge at an affordable price. No features just does exactly what it should do keep food cold or frozen. I wish it had a freezer light, I liked that feature on our old fridge. I think this is an excellent fridge for the price. I couldn't really rate it on energy efficiency because I don't know how to tell, but our electricity bill seems about the same as before (when our other fridge still worked).

This is the worst experience I have ever had with a refrigerator. 3 years old and the compressor and evaporator coil need replacement. 1,200 to fix and 2 weeks to get the coil. What am I supposed to use in the meantime? I paid to have a Whirlpool approved service tech come to my home to see if it could be repaired. Bottom line, not worth fixing. A cash refund would be greatly appreciated and a apology. In my opinion don't buy Whirlpool. I also bought a washer and the control board went out 3 months after the 1 year warranty expired.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I should have looked at the inside. I would’ve rather had 6 adjustable shelves, rather than 3. Why aren’t the door handles fitted to the proper side when you order, rather than the delivery guy having to redo? We were left with 6 holes with no plug covers. Also, you no longer make hinge covers, so if you look at the top of the refrigerator, the silver metal bracket & screws that hold the freezer door are exposed, which make it look cheap. I was warned that the ice maker tray was flimsy, it is, so was thankful I saved the one from my old refrigerator. The shelves in the freezer door are only 2” wide, and the band that keeps the food in place is 2” away from the shelf, so any slender item falls right out onto the floor. The refrigerator door creaks every time it’s opened, and we cannot find the reason, so live with it. The refrigerator and freezer keep the food cold, so that’s a plus.
