[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my new microwave! I have so much room to see what I am cooking on the stove. It is the perfect size for my small kitchen. Once we figured out the metal plate you use to mount it to the wall was also the template - the installation was easy. Everyone who sees it is so jealous.

It looks great, fits perfectly. And was fairly simple to install. The only issue was with the mounting hardware. The mounting screws needed to be longer due to the cabinet framing above the microwave. They should provide multiple hardware options for this.

We’ve had this installed since February 2021 and we love it. After reading the reviews we opted for the additional 5 year protection plan but so far we have had zero issues. Cleaning it is a breeze! We turned the volume all the way up (again reading other reviewers complaints) and I’ll be honest, we couldn’t really tell a difference in each volume option but we also have had zero issues hearing it beep from our living room when it has finished. So low volume hasn’t been a problem for us but it is quieter than our previous microwave. You’ll also see in the photos that we do not have this mounted over our stove. It does not have to be (to answer the questions pertaining to if it has to be mounted over a stove). This microwave gives us much more counter space over our old one. I will update my review if we run into any problems in the future but as of now I highly recommend, if your needing a low profile microwave but IMO, these low profile microwaves are way over priced. I really wish now that we had put a microwave shelf/cabinet in so we could have just popped any regular countertop microwave in it. Those are much much cheaper then any of the over the stove types!! We have this exhausted out the front top (how it comes from the factory) and it was rather easy to install by one person but two people is better when it comes to bolting it from inside the top cabinet. One to hold the microwave up while the other tightens the bolts other than that it’s a one person job.

Purchased in January from one of the large DIY Box Stores. Pro's :Nice clean look. Pro's: Loaded with functions. Incredible four speed fan exhaust. Easy to follow instructions. Con's: Fan is quite loud even on low. Light under unit is very low level on either high or low. Sound indicating cooking is finished is very low on any level from low to medium to high. You need to be right by the unit to hear it.

We had a few stumbles trying to figure out how to put time on the display and make it start cooking; the steps are are not intuitive. We eventually figured it out after giving ourselves some handwritten crib notes on the instructions. Other than that we’re very pleased.

The sensor programming is outstanding: perfectly heated foods, from beverages to biscuits, from pizza to plates. Even the popcorn setting "senses" when the kernels are all popped. This unit is beautiful, quiet and the perfect addition to my newly updated kitchen. I enthusiastically recommend it.

Along with a new whirlpool range, this has made such an improvement. We were worried about the size, but it fits up to a large take out coffee cup. We can’t think of anything much larger that we would need to microwave. Love the multiple fan speeds- all of which are pretty quiet!

It fits my kitchen perfectly as I don’t have much space for a bigger microwave but still everything fits in it! Fingerprint resistant and love the self open button. My only downside is the price! But deff recommend !

Very nice microwave. It is quiet, has great features, and the lights and exhaust fan are very nice. I don't feel like I've lost any space at all with the low profile, and I love the sleek, no handle look that makes wiping down the outside a breeze!

I went to the local small business appliance store I always go to, and there was this 'low profile' Whirlpool micowave on display. It looked very attractive with modern, stainless steel styling. I liked the push button to open the door as well as it's smaller size than the one I was replacing. The dealer was very friendly and informative and knew a great deal about appliances. He showed me how to redirect the exhaust fan for external venting, since I was installing it myself. The best feature of all, was that I gained about 7" of height over my gas range and it beautifully matches my fairly new Kitchenaid gas range. It makes it so much easier to cook on the back burners!

I love that it sits high above our stove so it does not interfere with reading the controls on the stove. My favorite feature is the add 30 seconds on the exterior of the microwave. It is really the only timer that we use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I couldn't be happier with this new Whirpool microwave! I've had this appliance for over a year, use it several times daily, and it's just great! Amazingly, it's very spacious inside and even the high rise food containers and dishes that I've used have all easily fit inside. The light has two settings and has offered much more countertop light than my old microwave. After much research on ratings and reviews, I decided on this Whirlpool and am super pleased with it. After years of an old larger microwave which blocked the ceramic tile decorative stripe on the wall, it looks simply beautiful to be able to see it now! The entire kitchen looks so much bigger with this low profile model. After several years of owning various brands of appliances, I've basically settled in on getting Whirlpools because they never disappoint!

We use our microwave primarily for reheating food and drinks, so this model functions well for us. It's a great option if you don't want a microwave on your kitchen counter and don't have the budget for a built-in. The vent function is decent. Our main criticism is the under microwave light. It's terrible. Whirlpool, please provide a brighter light!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We wanted to put a microwave above our stove, but it couldn’t be too tall. This worked perfect! We love it. My only complaint is fingerprints show up really well. But that is minimal and probably a good thing as it gets cleaned off a lot.

It usually heats food pretty evenly and quickly. The two things I don’t love are: 1) sometimes you have to really put pressure on the buttons; if you try to push them quickly it doesn’t work either 2) sometimes when cleaning the outside with a rag or paper towel, the buttons seem too sensitive and turn on

So far everything has fit inside and we’ve had no issues. The buttons are easy to push. We are overall very happy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had this microwave about 6 weeks now and all features and operations are working as they should be. I was skeptical about the controls being hidden by the door, but I actually found it to be very convenient after I got used to it. The 30 second button on the front is perfect. The defrost feature works great and is easy to navigate. I LOVE the sound the microwave makes when its completed its cycle. Easy to hear, and NOT annoying. The fan is powerful with 3 settings and light is adequate with 2 settings. Interior clearance is fine for us. Dinner plates, coffee cups, soup bowls fit with no issues. Right now the mounted height is great, giving good headroom from the stovetop. It may be an issue as we grow older and have a hard time reaching up, but for now, it's perfect. One thing I would change...when you lock the controls to clean the panel, it does not lock the light and fan buttons, so it is tricky to not turn on the fan and light repeatedly as you wipe it clean. I'm enjoying my new appliance and think it is doing exactly what I expected it to do.

It cones with a built in vent, light underneath (test chimes when you turn it on (2 settings). Reheating and cooking are a breeze and it compliments my kitchen color scheme. Whirlpool is a definite winner in my kitchen!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Installed in a kitchen remodel. Cabinet is too short and the low profile microwave will be lowered slightly with a filler piece. Traditional range hood microwaves are too big so I love this sleek style.
