I chose this fan to replace one that hung low due to the light fixture. The Comet has great air movement and is almost as close to the ceiling as just a standard light would be. Very pleased and may consider buying another in the future for other rooms. Was not sure about candelabra bulbs but plenty of light provided.

The light is a little dull but it's brighter than the fan I paid twice the money for. I would probably buy another one just because there are not many black modern ceiling fans under $100.

I wanted something that would hang as subtly as possibly from my bedroom ceiling. Ordered two two replace my light fixtures. The light these emit is bright enough to read by. The one thing I would change is the chrome hardware, but I can deal with it. I didn't install them, but watching the two guys who did was easy!

Fan was cheap...everything about this fan i hated...too many exposed screw heads, didn't fit together well, fan wobbled...even after 5-7 attempts to balance...bought a Hunter Douglas for the same price and 100 times better..this fan is easy to install if you want a plus side

I purchased & had an electrician install 3 of these fans in my daughters house. She liked the look and the Comet was less expensive than anything we found with the same styling. But what a mistake. One fan was bad upon install. A lound grinding sound from the motor. Another started making the grinding sound within a week. I've had to go online 2x to reorder the fan and now must have the electrician back to remove the 2 bad fans and reinstall the replacements. The electrician & time wasted was not worth the savings. I should have spent the extra money ordered a better fan especially since there are no guarantees the next 2 fans will be good.

This ceiling fan accomplished its goal to look modern and sleek. The lighting isn't the brightest but it gets the job done. The fan works great.

Finally got around to installing the Westinghouse fan in my office just in time for the AZ summer. Unfortunately the fan motor is super LOUD, to the point that I just cant keep it on. Not sure if it's Westinghouse, this model or just this fan, but use caution when considering this one...

My dad installed it; he said it wasn't the easiest fan he had ever installed, but didn't seem to have any problems. It has a slight wobble, but it hasn't bothered me enough yet to use the included balancing kit to eliminate it. The lighting is not the greatest either, but everything works and is good enough for me

I've been buying these fans for years. I first bought one from a local chain department store (think bullseye). Now, in addition to my personal residence, I use them in the bedrooms of almost every house I remodel. They look great (versus the traditional fans with hanging sconces), and the low-profile design is perfect for 8' ceilings. These fans are also easy to install, very steady out of the box (no wobble), and have been very reliable over time. Now, Home Depot is one of the few places I can find them. For $100 each, these fans are a great deal!

We received this ceiling fan very quickly after ordering it. The fan is BEAUTIFUL; exactly what we wanted. Very easy to install, very quiet and no SHAKING! You have a choice to use the down rod or make it close to flush mount. We really love this fan!

The fan looks and works great..the lighting is not what I would like in the kitchen.

This is the second Comet fan that I've installed in the bedrooms. Easy 3 wire install for light and fan control since the house is wired for it separately at the switch. Also a good choice since I was installing as a flush mount. My wife and I bought a foreclosure that had a very dated feel. It is a split level and the family room is downstairs. Because the room is long and narrow and you can see the ceiling as you walk down 5 steps into it, I wanted the ceiling fan to be more flush. This is not a flush mount but is very sleek and flat because of the design and helps make the room seem wider and taller. I was concerned of the noise because of other reviews and didn't know Westinghouse made ceiling fans. The fan is very quiet and working great so far!

Ordered online and was shipped to my home. It is for my granddaughter's room at my house and she loves it. When electrician installed, I got a remote control as a surprise for granddaughter. Now can turn fan and light on and off in bed.

I see why there's a fan attached to the light, the lights get so hot they heat up the entire room, you need the fan now to cool the room, stupid design, in addition the frosted glass isn't frosted enough, you san see the two silly little bulbs and the black fixture behind the glass, so as I lay in bed I look up at it and wonder if anyone looked at this after they designed it. So I've turned the lights off. I would take the fan back too, except that means spending another hour fiddling with all the screws while up on the ladder, and then putting the new ones in, the fan is very cheaply made, the pull cords aren't long enough for the fan and light switch, unless you're 6'6, soup cans are made better than this lamp, remember when "Westinghouse or Maytag, Kenmore" were great American brands we trusted for value and quality?

I needed a ceiling fan for my apartment because the summer heat was killing me. My kitchen and living room flow into one another and I needed a fan that would push air through both spaces. This fan does the job nicely and circulates cool air from my windows. I had a friend who is an electrician install the uniit so I didin't have any fuss:) At the highest speed the unit does wobble a bit but it doesnt bother me. That's why it got a 4 vs a 5 star. I couldn't use the pole attacement due to haviing popcorn ceilings...so mine is mounted closer to the ceiling. Directions give both options.

Installing this fan was a little more difficult than most. The fan blade assembly was tedious and time consuming. Everything else assembled pretty much the way you would expect. The overall feel of the materials used in this fan are flimsy. The structure just didn't feel as sturdy as other comparatively priced fans I've installed. The amount of air the fan pushes is much lower than other fans in my house. I have to run this fan on medium speed to get as much air movement out of my other fans at low speed. I wouldn't purchase this fan again. The quality is borderline but not bad enough that I would go through the trouble to uninstall it and take it back.

Finish on this product was not what I expected. Says brushed pewter but it actually looks looked like it is just painted grey.

we had been looking for a fan that looked contemporary without being uber modern. this fan looks great and is well made. plus a great price to boot. no wobbling or vibrations even on high and the light is the perfect addition. the blades really moves some air. we'd never purchased a Westinghouse fan before, but this turned out to be just what we were looking for!
