I bought two and can't wait to replace the last of my ugly ones. I have a mix of furniture -- from antiques to mid-century -- and the fans go with everything.

We followed a recommendation from Wirecutter in choosing this fan. We are now replacing other ceiling fans (with those goofy fancy shades) with this model. My husband installed it with no surprises, instructions were clear. Our ceilings are low and this (without any down extension) is as low profile as one could expect. Number 2 is ready to go up. Numbers 3 and 4 are yet to be ordered.

Aesthetically this ceiling fan doesn't fit my style but I selected anyway because of the reviews. I am not at all disappointed. The fan is very quiet and the paddles move the air well in the room. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another Comet fan, but I would probably put it on a Lutron fan and light control next time.

Incredibly quiet. In a small room it does not seem like it moves much air, but the room definitely gets cooler. It doesn't wobble and was easy to assemble and install. The (not pictured) wood back on the white fan looks great, not cheap like I expected. One knock: the 3 flat circle fasteners that hold the glass dome in place do look cheap and out of place. They shouldn't be there at all, there are many other ways to hold glass in place.

Quiet but oddly inconsistent air movement. It's flush mounted, which the previous fan wasn't, so maybe that's the issue. We tend to feel gusts of air rather than a steady flow of moving air occasionally we don't feel any breeze despite the blades moving.

I really like this, bought it on Wirecutter's recommendation and paired it with a Lutron switch so I have 7 speeds, dimmer and separate buttons. Installation was easy, was replacing another fan. I had zero issues with it, until I reopened the light kit to remove the pull chains (because I prefer the Lutron switch). After that the light started flickering. I replaced the bulbs with LEDs and moved the wires around a bit and retightened everything and it appears to be back to normal. Fingers crossed. Fan looks great and works well.

Fan is great so far, but one issue I ran into for future customers - don’t install a dimmer switch with the fan! Apparently this is a no-no for most fans and it was causing the fan motor to be much louder than it was suppose to be.

Using one month now, and operating as expected. I was surprised that a remote is not included, and all the adverting photos neglected to show the dangling pull cords, one for the light and one for the fan speed which distracts from the sleek, clean, modern look I wanted. Shorter persons may be challenged reaching draw cords. The reverse switch is less assessable and also visibly distracting. Otherwise a good price for what I expect will be a fan servicing my needs for years to come.

the fan is quiet. the design is lovely, except for one small thing -- the decorative pulls. they should be simple. silver coin-like pulls featuring a light and fan are a little tacky.

Had the fan for about 3 weeks now. Install was fairly straightforward with the included instructions. Super quiet and good square feet coverage…only gripe is I wish the included hardware were better labelled (i.e. mounting screws should be separate from blade screws).

The fan provides good circulation and looks nice. The light dimmer (if you add a remote control) is an added plus.

Quiet fan, no wobbling and really cools the room. I bought it after seeing it recommended on a blog called Sweethome. My only complaint is the light isn't very strong, not surprising since it uses 40W bulbs.

Bought this after my old ceiling fan broke down. I did some research for new ceiling fans and saw a rave reviews of it on The SweetHome and decided to make the purchase. Have had it for about 5 months now and it has done a great job of cooling the room down. Fan is also really quiet. Around the fourth month there were one or two times in which there was some squeaking sounds while the fan was operating, but they resolved themselves by the next time I turned them on. All in all, I would say that this fan is a great value for the price and probably provides more cooling than some of the pricier or more fancy looking fans. This is a great fan for the money. Contemporary look which is what I wanted and easy to install. I put a remote control kit on it. Best of all it is whisper quiet and has a pretty good balance to it. Don't think just because it is cheap that it is cheaply made. Pretty good fan.

Takes a while to put together (lot of screws) but well worth it. Have one in every room! Love the light. Very Casablanca.
