Does not work! Purchased two fans and two remotes. Awful would not come close to the performance!

It was exactly like the one I had

Purchased this device about a year ago and installed it. Worked for about a year before biting the dust. Bought another one, same unit, and installed. You have to click the remote dozens of times while moving around the ceiling fan and raising and lowering the level of the clicker before it will eventually turn the light on or off. I am old and slow moving so bought this for convenience. Needless to say that has not been the case.

The recommendation would come with one warning. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A LARGE BELL AT THE CEILING. These remotes are a real help, but no matter the brand the receivers are extremely tight fitting with a standard bell cover at the ceiling!

The remote sensor was bigger than the fan housing! Had to return it.

Works OK. However not 100 % of the time! Occasionally pressing the buttons on the remote fails to result in the programmed expected result so you have to press again. A minor annoyance but still an annoyance.

Works well with an older fan I have. The light switch on the original remote stopped working. I would prefer fan speed indicators high, medium, and low instead of the numbers.

Why in the year 2018 must we still have one-button circular light dimming?!?!?? Meaning, if light is at 50% and I want it brighter, I first have to dim it before I can brighten it. Nowadays we carry more computing power in our pockets than on the moon landing (when this remote was designed) and yet we can't have two buttons for easy up/down dimming on a ceiling fan remote?!

Comes with the remote and the receiver, which tucks inside the fan base. The receiver was identical to my Westinghouse and the remote slightly larger. It would be nice if the remote was backlit to make easier operation in the dark (I have another fan that has a backlight)

Salesperson at Home Depot. Santee was very kind, and checked out the old control, showed me how to go on line to order a replacement, got a friend to install it and all is good.

The fan looks nice. The lights are not that bright. And the remote stopped working. I am going to return it and get something else because of the lighting

I purchased a Westinghouse ceiling fan that said it was remote control only to find out it was not these purchase was a Birthday present so now I was stuck purchasing a compatible remote control.

This remote was easy to install and works perfectly with my older Westinghouse fan. Home Depot shipped it to my local store in 2 days.

Bought for our Hampton Bay fan and it fit like original and works great. The price is nice too.
