Ok so far. Just had it installed and it’s working great. I’m not so impressed with the design of the remote.

We have 3 of these plus 1 at a vacation property - they all work well. This one is replacing one that was fried in a lightning strike.

This was exactly what I sought, and I was able to install it easily.

Altho it works well, I don’t like that I have to stop & think which speed is fastest & slowest, as intuitively it seems backwards to have speed 1 the fastest & speed 3 the slowest. Seems you should start with speed 1 being slow, then speed 2 faster & speed 3 the fastest!

A great little fan/light controller. Very happy with this purchase.

This is identical to the 15 year old "Hampton Bay" remote control that it replaced.It uses a 9v battery, and works flawlessly.This came with the receiver unit which goes in the fan, but it wasn't mentioned in the write up. I thought I was only getting a replacement remote control.

I found the instructions easy to follow. My fan was controlled by two wall switches and two hanging chains. If your fan also has two wall switches keep in mind that you will need to use a wire nut and tape on one of the hot leads at the fan because the control unit included with this device only needs one hot lead. I also labeled the wall switches so there would be no confusion in the future. Be sure to turn off the breaker or remove the fuse for the circuit once you determine which wire is your hot wire, which wire is your common wire, and which is the ground. I used my micrometer for this purpose simply turning off the wall switch I did not want to use and then testing for the hot-lead with the micrometer. If you are not familiar with basic wiring, using a micrometer, or accomplishing these tasks while on a ladder then you should find a friend who is or hire an electrician. The product works great and is simple to understand. The light switch/dimmer takes a bit of practice for dimming purposes, but you will get it once you've done it a few times.

Works great as an outdoor fan. Not the best looking one (especially for the price). Very quiet and vibration free and having the light on the fan is great. I'd recommend, especially for out side use.

30 inch Westinghouse fan: I would give it an average rating. I like design and light but even on 3rd setting it is not very powerful. I wonder if longer blades would stir the air better and do they make longer blades for this model?

I on-line ordered 2 remotes but only one fit the ceiling fans I had purchased separately. I was able to return the one remote and will purchase again when needed. The only issue I have is that the #'s seem reversed. The remote's #'s - 1,2,3,0 - 0 being off and 3 the slowest of the speeds which just seemed in the wrong order to me and the person installing the unit. No biggy - just have to think otherwise.

you need to be almost right underneath the fan for the remote to work - saves you from installing a switch but dont plan on using it from across the room

I bought this unit because it said it had a full range dimmer control. But this was not the case. The light dimming function did not work properly. When holding down the light button, brightness slowly went down from Full Bright to about 75% bright, then slowly back to Full Bright, then back to 75% brightness. It did this continuously (down and up), never went below 75% brightness, and never went to OFF (unless the button was tapped quickly). Fan speed control also did not work correctly. Of the three fan speed buttons, one was high speed fan; the other TWO buttons were BOTH intermediate speed fan; no button provided low speed. Don't waste your money.

Bought this product to replace one that was already there. Had it installed by an electrician as we couldn't figure it out ourselves. It shorted out after only a few minutes.
