Works well. Very consistent. Very responsive. Even detects small animals entering the room. Only negative - the time to "off" is not adjustable.

Sat on my shelf about 1 year, failed immediately (Always on) when installed.

I screwed the light control into the socket, turned it on, and it blew the bulb. I put in a new bulb, and the unit no longer worked. I don't know what happened other than it only worked for about 10 seconds before self-destructing. I would not recommend this product.

It is good and serving it purpose well. Would definitely buy it again

I don't know if having 9ft ceilings had anything to do with it, but this device would not detect my motion as expected. It would take several seconds and my waving of my arm to get it to detect my motion,

Didn't work where I wanted it placed Tried in lamps with shade off and still did not respond. Returned it

I had to wave my hand close to it for several seconds before it would turn on. It turns off after the set time, whether you are in the room or not. Does not sense motion well in a small room. I returned it for a full refund right away.

This unit allows you to adjust how long it stays on once it detects motion, but it must have been designed for open spaces. There is no sensitivity adjustment. It needs to see you approaching from a good distance before it switches on. I had mine in a walk-in closet and you have to almost hit the bulb before it turns on. Not good for this application.

The product helps us the homeowners where switches are not possible such as basement where I am using it. It helps and keeps everyone at home safe and also deters trespassers or burglars. This is my fourth set of units in the basement when somebody steps in proximity, the whole basement lights up that will keep anybody safe. Very convenient and very useful. The whole family loved it.

The light stayed on all night and never went off. I went to home depot and tried another one and I had to go up to it and tap it to come on and it stayed on for 10 mins. and went off. This product I wouldn't recommend.

I'll be surprised if they post this review. My motion light worked about 5 days, then started staying on. My wife need something in the basement so she could see to get to her car in the early morning, but not have to go turn the switch off. I'm shopping for some quality. Sorry to say, this needs some work. Wasted $14.

I purchased the first alert PIR725 motion sencing light socket, it was a couple dollars more it works. Next time I'll know better.

This was the only brand in stock at the time, and though I'd had a poor experience with it before, I bought it anyway. I've learned my lesson now. This light would come on at random times even though it was set to stay on for only 1 min. Then the unit burnt out after only a few months. Don't waste your money.

The motion sensor does not work very well, it takes a while to detect movement so you wonder around the dark for quite sometime before it turns the light on.

Worked for a while and then wouldn't turn off. I bought one a year ago and when that one stopped working I exchanged it for a new one. That worked for a while--long enough for me to buy another one. Now both of them stopped working within six months. Same bulbs. Very annoying and they are not cheap. Stay away from this product.

They say it is rated at 75 watts I have purchased one a year ago quit working after 6 months. I purchased another one after the first one stayed on all the time. I was using a rough duty 75 watt lamp. I thought maybe it was drawing to many amps. So I purchased another 1 and replaced the lamp with LED lamp that was 14 watts, guess what that 1 failed also. Do not buy this!

Bought one for basement where light switch is close to one entrance but about 20' in the dark from the other. Would not shut off at all. Returned it, they gave me now trouble at the desk, it was the next day .

Item did not work. Would only turn on if within 2" of sensor which made it impossible with 8ft ceilings.. Returned product to store.

I have a garage that needs to light up on motion, for convenience sake. This detector is pricy but you really need to dance to make it notice you. It probably would work better in a smaller room but for 2 car garage it needs a lot of motion to turn itself on. Also, what is up with 10 min time of being on, way too much, I wish it were adjustable. Why not a whole hour? Why would it need to light for 10 min past when motion ceases? If there is no motion, then why the light? 3 mins would be more than enough, the rest is just needless electricity consumption. I would NOT buy this product again.

Just wasted money on this unit. Will not work, no mater how we position it. Laundry room is 4 feet from the door to the kitchen. If the customer needs a certain minimal distance from the fixture for it to work, there is no documentation to let you know.

I am using this to light up the bottom steps to my basement without having to turn on the main basement lights. Where I have it in use it will catch movement about half way down the steps and from the basement it catches movement about 15 feet away in the area where I usually realize I forgot to turn on the main lights.

Like my title... this thing worked for only 10~15 days, and it leaves the light on all night in my garage... horrible! waste of my light bulb life and electricity.

Got this last week for my garage. It only senses motion in one corner of the garage and, even then, it only does it occasionally. I have to jump up and wave my hand directly in front of the sensor to get it to work. And even that doesn't work right away. Complete waste of money.

After installing this in my garage, it never turned off. As stated it should turn off after 10 minutes but mine never turned off. About the only thing I can say about this product is, save your money and leave it on the display rack.

Installed inside closets, and the lights go on at random times when door is closed. Perhaps we have monsters or ghosts...or maybe this product is just over-rated and lame.

These did not work at all in my walk-in closets like I wanted them to do, but they did work well in the garage. The sensor needs a certain distance to activate.
