I have bought a few of these as I frequently bbq. As other comments the rivets rust and break. You can throw a nut and bolt in there. Constant issue that WEBER SHOULD CHANGE. I don't leave my chimney out in the elements once it has cooled. Here's something brand new gray then black high heat paint. Once you've used it you can just use a few coats of flat black. Looks great I think.

I have two of these; in less than 3 months, one plastic handle melted off completely, and the other is severely deformed. This despite following the instructions that were included. I boggles the mind that a product intended for holding flaming coals can’t handle the temperatures that the product produces.

I wanted to get away from chemicals to light our Bar B Que, I remembered my father-in-law had a cylinder starter he placed newspaper underneath and then poured the charcoal inside the top. I bought this today and crumpled a few sheets of newspaper loosely just like I had remembered. It smoked excessively at first so much so I thought about getting a blanket and doing smoke signals seriously. The paper was gone it was still smoking I wasn't sure if this was a fail or not. I walked in the house a few minuets later I returned to find flames and the charcoal glowing. Oh yes it was perfect and in less time then the pile takes. I was so impressed I did it again only with a full load of charcoal same impressive results with no chemicals just a few sheets of crumpled newspaper. The cylinder is made heavy-duty it's well ventilated to get those coals heated incredibly fast. It is worth the money and saves time. I love it!

I had a cheap chimney that fell apart after one use. I went out and got the Weber and it lasted for 6 years.I do jerk chicken every weekend rain or shine no matter what so that thing really got used a lot (that's close to 400 uses!!!). It finally fell apart last week and I went right to Home Depot to grab another. These things are built very well and I will never buy another brand of charcoal chimney

Excellent item for charcoal bbqs. Load the chimney with Coal, tear a small amount of paper from the charcoal bag, make into a ball, place it under the chimney, light up and wait for about 15 minutes until you see red charcoal through the chimney holes. Use gloves while pouring the hot coal into the grill. 10 out of 10. No more starter fuels, no more blowing air, so much convenience.

Got this for Father’s Day. After using the nasty lighter fluid setup my wife bought me this. Followed the directions and in less than 10 minutes the charcoal was red hot and ready. Great product and makes starting your grill so simple. I bought another one for my dad who’s a long time Weber fan. He loves it as well. Highly recommend this for the charcoal grilling gurus out there!

Lets be honest, if you dont like cooking on charcoal it’s probably because you don’t enjoy lighting the coals, right? Stores always put the lighter fluid right next to the charcoal so you think thats the only way to get it lit. Well i used to think that way too. These charcoal chimneys are literally life changing tools, because you dont need lighter fluid at all and the coals light with no issues time after time. Put some paper or a fire starter under the chimney, fill up the chimney with coals, and light the paper or starter. Its that easy! I bought this chimney because my smaller chimney started rusting. So worth the 20 bucks i spent especially given the extra size! Buy it and go down the charcoal rabbit hole, you won’t be disappointed.

This is the only way to start a great fire. I’m now a devoted Rapidfire user and am spreading the word. I’m also embarrassed to say that I learned fire-starting from my dad, who was a great believer in lighter fluid. I will never again start a charcoal fire without using a Rapidfire chimney!

It works really great, but got rust in the inside frame within two months I purchased it.

This accessory us indispensable. Growing up I disliked charcoal grills due to the copious amounts of lighter fluid or impregnated briquettes people used. I researched extensively and learned the legitimate grill masters use charcoal chimneys to light their charcoal quickly and efficiently with no lighter fluid taste imparted to the food! In my opinion, this accessory is a must have in addition to a Weber charcoal grill.

Best way to light your charcoal! Fast and easy. No lighter fluid taste in food. Plus save money by not having to buy lighter fluid. A no brainer!

Recently had a big safety issue happen and there should be a recall. The body is good but the handle rivets rust and break. When this happen the body opens up and the grate inside falls out. I lifted mine up to put paper underneath and all the charcoal fell out. As you can see i put clips in to hold the body and a lag bolt where the rivet was.

I am a charcoal grill novice and this is my first time use a chimney charcoal starter. Its unbelievable fast startup. One piece of newspaper could light up the charcoal within a minute and the charcoal is ready to be used in 10 minutes. I still remember when i first use a charcoal grill without a charcoal starter I had to spend at least 30 minutes to light up the charcoal, sometimes 45 minutes just to start grilling. This is a must have for charcoal grill.

Essentiel pour sauver du temps! Produit très efficace! Je ne pourrais plus m'en passer. La cheminée fonctionne à merveille. La seule chose qui est dommage c'est que je ne puisse pas remplacer la poignée en plastique. J'ai fait fondre ma poignée par mégarde et la poignée ne se vend pas séparément. Par soucis d'environnement, j'aurais aimé remplacer juste la poignée et non la cheminée au complet même si cela me coûte plus cher au final. J'étais prête à débourser les frais.

Very easy use charcoal fully lit 15 -20 minutes... Handle is handy did not get hot... I used it with newspaper to light.... This was my first time using this product... I had no problems, will recommend this to my friends... very easy...

Works fine. Good air draw to evenly ignite coals. Nice size, plenty of room for a high number of briquettes. Be careful with the handle and heat. Handle melted and deformed on first use: It's usable, but uncomfortable to empty once lit.

Works great with Webber starter cubes. Wish it was a tad bit larger. Nice sturdy feel.
