They give more control over the heat source for outside grilling/smoking.

Easy way to do indirect Heat cooking. Able to add coals and wood chunks without them falling all over the place. Easy clean out after. Quality is better than expected for the price. Bought them to smoke a brisket. Came out perfect.

Bought the Char-Baskets to replace the worn out charcoal rails.

I grill a lot of pizza, these char baskets are a must for indirect heat when using a pizza stone for awesome pizza everytime.

Okay, after 8 years of heavy use, I finally broke down and bought two more of these baskets. They really are amazing for barbecue! They contain the charcoal and sometimes I use one basket just for wood chips for smoke while the other basket is used to grill meat, fish and or vegetables. For me, they have been indispensable. They are durable and they are inexpensive. You simply can't go wrong with this product. No assembly or cleaning required ever.

These are far better than the old wire ones that were offered before. These hold more charcoal and also protect the side of the pit from direct heat. You can easily get a two hour cook without adding more fuel.

Honestly these are a total waste of money compared to what I have seen on line made of stainless for less money. These are very cheaply made out of sheet metal that won't last. Everything in the grill should be made of stainless for the insignificant amount of added cost. It's all about the $$ and this is a good indication they have cut corners for profit. Seek out conical shaped stainless substitutes is my advice. Wasting over 25 dollars on this is just that...your loss.

I have been looking for these charcoal furl holders for over 8 years!! I happened to be in Lake Charles Louisiana and passed by the isle and I couldn't believe it!! I am happy with this product. they are great for indirect grilling!! Thanks so much!!

I have to replace these every few years. I wish you would make them thicker. I actually bought 2 pairs this time, because I know they don't last very long.

Excellent barbecue accessories for cooking steak and ribs. I recommend buying it for your Weber grill. Our ribs cooking was the best we ever cooked.
