My previous pressure take the bladder busted in it. It lasted about 10 years hope this one lasts longer, this one comes with a 5 year warranty. Even though it's 3 gallons smaller than my old one it works great and made my pressure switch work quieter than before.

Tank was delivered (came from Rhode Island by truck), and I installed it in about 3 hours, upgrading my connecting plumbing as I went. It replaced a much smaller 16 year old Champion full of iron deposits. The new tank is as advertised, but is not an off-the-shelf item. The only things that disappointed me were: the quality of the packing (the tank was not secured or braced within the box and the bottom of the box, rather than being a fork-accessible pad, was a piece of (crushed) honey cone cardboard), and the inside of the 1 1/4 elbow at the bottom of the tank had to be cleaned of corroded metal debris before I could connect it to my system.

A high quality pressure tank at a very reasonable price! I purchased the required fittings per instructions, such as 1" tee connection, relief valve, pressure gauge, nipples, unions (all brass) and the 1" check valve. I used a combination of Teflon tape and PST pipe dope - no leaks. Only problem I had was using the check valve. The instructions for the tank said to install the check valve (correct direction of course) between the pump and the tank. This is incorrect, and I will be writing the tank manufacturer. By putting the check between the pump and tank, and also pressure switch, this will give the pump a false signal - it will not come on again because the cut off pressure is held between the check valve and the tank/pressure switch. I removed the 1" check valve and all worked great. A check valve can be used on the suction piping in the cistern or shallow well, but a foot valve is best. Make sure your foot valve is in working order (holds the water in the pipe and doesn't leak back). Instructions with my new pump said to never put a check valve between the discharge of the pump and the pressure tank. Please excuse the mess in the photo, I hadn't finished the job nor removed the check valve at that point. Overall, a great product, exceeded my expectations and Home Depot was great to deal with - thanks!

Product arrived at my home via UPS. No damage or dents. No DIY issues with installation. After one week of use so far, it operates as advertised and fully met my expectations. Water Worker is made by the same manufacturer as Well-X-Trol. I'm not sure what the differences are internally, but operationally it performs the same job at a lower price. While Water Worker is warranted for 5 years vs. 7 years for Well-X-Trol, the Well-X-Trol in my previous house was still working fine after 27 years, so I'm expecting a long life beyond the warranty period for the Water Worker as well. I replaced the 18-year old Well-X-Trol in my current house because the bottom skirt and bottom of the tank was all rusted due to sitting directly on the cement floor and the water pipes were not insulated to prevent condensation. The new tank is on a platform 4 inches off the floor.

Amtrol (the manufacturer) has ZERO customer service OR quality control. I bought this and opened the undamaged box to find a four inch by two inch by one-half inch deep dent in the new tank. It had to have left the production facility like this. I called them and they said they would replace it, IF I drove the four hour round trip back to the store where I purchased it, with no offer of compensation...What?! Is my time and expense to deal with something they sent out of the plant like this of no consequence?

First of all, your picture on the page does not accurately represent the item. You really need to fix the picture. The sizes on the dimensions portion of the page seemed to be a tad bit off. The tanks went in pretty quick and easily. We had to re-pipe the entire system but, we are happy having 200+ gallons of water with water pressure. The price was lower than LOWES!

The tank has been in use for over a week and it works very well. I would have given it a 5 star rating except for this: the dimensions of the tank and the size of the inlet/outlet elbow are not printed on the outside of the box. If they are, both the Home Depot employee and I missed it. I had to go to the Home Depot website to find this information. The instructions were well written and helpful except for the information on Page 1 "Additional Parts - Tank Water Connection Size 1" NPTF". The 44 Ga. tank is actually a 1-1/4" fitting. These are minor things, but it did cause an trip to the hardware store to purchase an adapter. I recommend this product. Judging by the look and feel, it seems very well made.

After 14 years my old pressure tank finally refused to hold pressure anymore. I shopped around and found out that this tank is made by the same company as Amtrol. It is an Amtrol pressure tank. It is considerably better priced than their name brand tanks. So far, so good. Hope to get another 10-15 years at least out of this one. If you have some basic skills it's definitely an easy install. Remember, the larger the capacity tank, the less your well pump has to turn on. Well pumps are considerably more expensive to buy and replace.

I replaced a galvanized tank with this diaphragm one and it more than meets my expectations . Installing was easy and it is out preforming the old tank by leaps and bounds ( and it supplies two houses ) . The directions were a bit fuzzy on my type of system ( geared to submersibles ) but the folks at Home Depot , Orange Tx were most helpful in answering my questions . My pump is cycling on much less and pressure is great . Wish I had done this long ago . Thanks to the good ladies in the plumbing dept. at Home Depot , Orange Texas .

Ordered tank ship to store picked up in 8 days. Real big tank also very heavy. need to make sure you have the room. I purchased this tank because my new well pump was short cycling cut in cut out 35 seconds already have a 20 gal pressure tank.. installed October 23 2016.easy install by myself, added it to all the other tanks and cut in cut out is 3 1/2 minutes. My water filter can back wash and the pump comes on once!!! I don't know if Ill recoup the money in electricity in its lifetime, but hopefully it will help pump last.

        Perfect for irrigation system.
Essential for proper pump operation. Prevents rapid cycling of pump. Be aware that this tank must be installed within five feet of pump for proper operation. In a normal residential installation tank should be installed with a 70 psi pressure relief valve. In this case, this pump will not exceed 70 psi even if the included pressure switch fails.

        Great tank works as advertised.
Seaside Restoration installed the tank for extra water for the garden. The tank works well and we do not run out of water.

Built like a Tank (sure hoped so)
Purchased this to replace a failed Flotec tank that we bought from Homer 16 years ago. There is nothing similar between the two. The older style three-legged tank left plenty of room under and made for easy plumbing hook up with a union. This one has a 360 degree ring base with about a 3" x 4" oval hole for the plumbing. Did manage to get it hooked into the existing water tank manifold (we run with four tanks normally due to a very deep well) that involved turning the tank about 45 degrees and running some flex pipe. I envision having to bore one or more 2" holes in the base skirting to get the first mouse nest out from under it in the future. All of that said, construction quality is excellent and the price was right. Installation hint: These things have NOTHING to grab hold of them with. I used a couple of Homers ratcheting load binders put tightly around the tank. Made jockeying it around solo an easy task.

        Great Tank
This is a great product. i hooked this tank up in a parallel set up with a 20 gallon water worker tank. The 20 gallon was great but my pump was coming on several times during a shower or doing laundry, and when the pump came on , it would only run for 30 seconds to fill the tank, now with both tanks hooked together, i can have a 15 minute shower before the pump turns on, and the pressure stays near the top for nearly ten minutes. Then the pump runs for about 2 to 3 minutes, this is more ideal and will save the pump, additionally , because of the storage, the other pump which fills the aerator tank up with well water, does not run near as much either, I did it this way because i did not have enough money to buy a bigger tank , if you have enough money, buy the 86 gallon for $345, that is a sweet deal, and there is really no down side to having a big tank. Oh also, having two tanks means that if one goes, the other keeps the system up and running, my plan is to put another 32 gallon on the house pump, and use the 20 for the well pump storage, to replace the lighter colored tank that is not good any longer, hope this helps, Good Luck!!!
