Great hose
With this 100 feet long garden hose I can finally reach from my house outdoor faucet to my vegetable garden. Until now I was using connected together two shorter hoses. For watering flower beds closer to house, I always had to disconnect the second hose, as dragging both connected hoses around was not practical. Connecting and disconnecting hoses is no big deal, but….. This hose is great quality, strong built up to 400 PSI water pressure and does not flatten when empty (no water inside) exposed to full sun and 90 degr. F temperature. Coupling on the “female end” is strong, fits comfortably in hand (pic 2) and is good help when attaching the hose to the faucet. The color of hose is darker green, barely detectable when laying in the grass (pic 1). Yellow stripe on hose let you know that the hose when in use is straight (not twisted). On the reverse side of wrap are storage instructions (common for all garden hoses) see pic. 4. The hose is made in US and comes with Limited Lifetime Warranty (details on pic.4).

Good hose for multiple seasons
Flextime heavy duty hose indicates it has good strength against bursting, which is good since I'm taking it up the Kern Valley where we have much cooler winter weather. We've used other hoses, which have split and cracked due to not being made out of the right materials. I got this hose as it says it has heavy-strength & heavy-duty couplings. Never thought of lead in the couplings before so I'm glad this one doesn't have it. It even says drinking water safe and anyone who's taken a drink from a hose could appreciate knowing why it's had a bad taste. Also, it has a high pressure rate of 400 psi. Abrasion resistant jacket is also good as we do drag hoses around. I don't know what the warranty is "limited" to, but hopefully I won''t have to find out after a few seasons.

Working Great
I got this hose to replace a 50 foot hose in my back yard that my dog chewed up. The 50 foot hose was not quite long enough but 75 feet is the perfect length. The entire hose is very light weight. The couplings are over-sized and once connected there were no leaks. I'm pretty sure they are made out of metal but they are so light you might think they are plastic. While watering the yard, the hose kinked a few times but it was nothing a quick tug couldn't correct. This hose has a slick surface which appears to help prevent it from getting all tangled up upon itself. After the first use, I let the hose sit in the sun for an hour. After that it coiled up perfectly. This is a good quality hose at a great price point. I highly recommend.

Just right for my back yard
This FlexRite hose has many of the features I have come to value in a hose. It has heavy duty ends that will accept a wrench if needed. With a burst rating of 400+ psi a rupture from our 60 psi city water should never be an issue. So far I have had no leaks. I appreciate the plastic, flexible hose end guard. The hose I replaced had a plated steel spring for an end guard; it corroded and gave me some rust problems (see photos). I find the FlexRITE hose to be a light weight hose to drag and handle. The scuff resistant jacket does make it easy to retrieve on my hose reel. At 75 ft it is just the right length for my back yard. This hose does have some memory issues that get better with use. I have noticed it tends to crimp on occasion and kink when it’s not under pressure. It is not recommended for hot water. It comes with a limited Life Time Warranty. This hose is not labeled drinking water safe.

Quality hose at reasonable pricepoint
I had the opportunity to evaluate this hose. I am very pleased with the quality of construction. The weak point of most hoses is the ends. This hose has excellent hose ends with the faucet side having a large aluminum grip surface and a nice strain relief. The exit end is also beefy and well built. The hose is lawn green but has a bright yellow stripe to help prevent accidental mowing damage. With a lifetime guarrantee this hose is the one. The con of the hose is flexibility. It is just average. See photos.

well, sure is beefy all right
The marketing on this one touts things like "tough" and "heavy duty", and it's not just hyperbole. I have no way to measure the 400 PSI burst strength, but it seems sturdier than your average garden hose. And the connectors sure are, especially the one that connects to the house spigot. You can see from the pictures; that's a bruiser. Too many hoses have connectors you can't get a good enough grip on - that wasn't the case with these. I'm using this hose for now as a dedicated run from the house split to the feeder line that connects to my drip irrigation system, so once I hooked it up it's not going anywhere. And the connectors had a good enough grip that i didn't need any tools to get a connection that was watertight from the start. The only things I can't really comment on in any timely manner are the "scuff-resistant jacket", and the "coils easily year round". Today was 90 degrees again, so if i *had* coiled it back up I don't think it would have fought me. And I have no intention of using it in cold weather :-)

quality and packaging
Hose is advertised as heavy duty. i hooked it up and it blew a hole in it immediately. I returned the it to Home Depot and they replaced it without question and I got another exactly the same as I need a 75 foot hose,. I took it home and tried to hook it up and discovered it did not have a hose washer included so returned to the store to get a washer. Hose is holding 75 lbs pressure now. Not impressed.

    PERFECT FOR A PRESSURE WASHER
The length of the hose is great, did not kink up once. This hose should be included with every pressure washer. Made the job so much easier. The male and female connectors are a step above heavy duty. Due to the high water pressure rating, I hooked this to the automatic water station, the hose stays pressurized all the time, no problems yet.

Quality hose, but not as flexible as the name suggests
This is a well-constructed hose with solid connectors. However, given a name like FlexRITE, I was expecting something that excelled at being flexible with little memory, and this doesn't excel as much as I had hoped. On the good side, the ends of this hose look to be quality, In particular, the faucet end of the hose is extra large and all metal (no plastic in the nut), and the nuts have flat sides you can get a wrench onto if you need to get it on or off. In terms of flexibility, however, I've had better hoses. What I really want is a hose that is flexible and can easily be coiled even when it's cold. The instructions with this hose recommend uncoiling it when it is above 70 degrees. As it's summer when I got this hose, it's notably above 70 now. The hose uncoils well, but still has some coil memory: I'd call its uncoiling good but not great when compared with my other hoses. I'm concerned about what its flexibility will be like in colder weather (50s and 60s), but won't know that for some time yet. This hose does come with a lifetime warranty. However, to use that warranty you have to send in a copy of the original "cash register receipt" (does that mean an online receipt won't work?), which means you have to keep your receipt and know where to find it. (I've never seen why a receipt should be needed for a lifetime warranty). You also have to cut off and send in the two ends to the hose, so you will incur some shipping costs to make use of the warranty. So in short, I think this is a good hose, but if flexibility was top on my list, I think I would check out other hoses.

Good purchase for the hose length and material quality
I previously had purchased a flexible hose at a much higher price. That hose was convenient for it's flexibility, but only lasted a short while after bursting about mid-length. I needed a hose that was at least 75 ft in length and this hose offered the best value for the quality and length. I know that with the durability of a hose like this, I will have it's use for some time in the foreseeable future. I would recommend this hose to others, because the value is definitely better then other competing similar products.

    Incredible water flow
I put it to the test. The very first thing I noticed and appreciated is the strong couplings. You can get a very good grip by hand, and it is wonderful if you need a tool to remove or tighten the hose to the faucet. The finish is beautiful both on the ends and the hose itself. It has a very pleasant dark green glitter appearance. Who would think you can make a garden hose look nicer than the rest. There is a nice 4 inch molded protective collar on the female end of the hose to prevent kinking and breakage. The water pressure and volume was exceptional coming out the end of the hose, with or without a nozzle attached. I tested the hose overnight without sunlight and the faucet turned off and the nozzle closed. It held pressure in a 12 hour test. I tried another hose of 5/8's diameter only half the length and did not have quite the water volume through the hose. At 60psi, beginning pressure, the FlexRite hose filled the same 2-1/2 gallon bucket 5.3 seconds quicker. As we are on a well, I waited for full pressure before starting each test to get an accurate and fair reading. The hose did recoil easily when finished. When brand new, I was careful to allow the hose to uncoil nicely to prevent kinking. I have found it best to fully uncoil the hose and extend it to allow it to straighten itself out. It is a very nice hose - treat it kindly and it will return the favor. It is not a hot water hose, and likewise do not allow it to lay in the sun when not in use. You'll be happy with this hose, and just treat it with care.

Better than another in side-by-side comparison
In comparison with another hose I received that is sold by Home Depot (Scotts MaxFlex), this hose is much more kink-proof, even though the labeling does not claim that. Anyone who drags the hose around only after straightening it out will experience no kinks with just about any hose. The real test is how it deals with the hose being coiled. I was able to catch the hose in a coiled "ready to kink" position many times, but every time I pulled harder, it snapped out of the kink and straightened out. This was definitely better than the other hose I tested. I do like the oversize coupler and strain relief but this coupler is not as big and easy to use as the Scotts one. The hose is not too heavy and is easily maneuvered, so that is good. No real complaints or leaks so far.

Nice Garden Hose, Extra Large Couplers, Stores Easy, Made in USA
This is a good basic garden hose that will meet most homeowner needs. It has extra large metal couplers which are great for connecting and disconnecting without slipping on wet hands and it has an anti-kink sleeve over the female coupler end. Sidewall toughness is average, it's not extra thick and not super thin. This is a basic duty water hose that will work well for washing cars, watering plants and used with a pressure washer as the water supply line. I would not recommend this for hard or extreme duty use as it seems to kink a bit too easily for me over objects and the sidewalls scuff pretty easy. This is more for watering the lawn, using once or twice a week for outdoor chores. I use this particular hose as 100 feet of backing hose on a large hose reel. It works perfect and stores easily and reels in without coiling up and tangling all over the place. It's made in the USA which is great to see and it does carry a lifetime warranty should there be any defects or it ruptures on you. I can recommend this to anyone looking for a nice average duty garden hose.

    Solid Well Made Couplings
The end couplings are heavy duty and appear to be firmly attached to the hose, as compared to other brands I have tried. The true test of a garden hose is its durability over time, and I have not owned this product long enough to judge this. However the weight and appearance of the hose give me confidence that this product is likely to outlast many other hoses that are described as "heavy duty." I am using the hose to supply a swimming pool-leveler, meaning that it will always be on, and under constant water pressure. Because I am using the hose in Florida, I cannot comment on it's cold-weather attributes, but in this warm environment the hose is very flexible and easy to coil. One of the picture attachments shows a side-by-side comparison of two hose couplings, the one on the left is this Flexrite product, the one on the right is an older so-called "life-time" heavy duty product. This comparison illustrates the superiority of this product.

    Nice Non Restrictive Hose
This is a good quality hose that’s upper medium weight and should give years of service in normal use. It's not as heavy as an industrial hose but almost. It has nice solid brass end fittings and a strain relief on the faucet end. As with most vinyl type of hoses temperature is a big factor. Below 40 degrees this hose becomes very stiff. If the sun is out the hoses dark color make warm up much faster and this makes the hose much easier to handle. Once the hose is filled with water and twists removed it seems to be hard to get it to kink. This is also a big plus. The hose says that its 5/8" inside diameter and it is, all the way thru. Any long hose that has restrictive fittings won't run a larger lawn sprinkler very well, glad to see that this one will. This hose seems to be on the order of upper end hoses, well build and durable.

    Nice, sturdy hose
This is a kink resistant hose. Not a kink-proof hose, but I don't really think that that can exist. It has reinforced connectors and is decently light to tug around the yard.

    Definitely Heavy Duty
Definitely heavy duty. Had a little problem getting it straightened from it's packaged roll, it wanted to curl back up. That's not unusual, but because it is heavy duty it was a little harder to straighten out. I put it on a reel so it wouldn't be stretched all over the yard waiting for me to mow it to pieces in seen in the tall grass. (I've been known to do that.) It went on the reel easily.

    REALLY HEAVY DUTY!
When this hose was advertised as heavy duty, I figured it would just like other so-called "heavy-duty" hoses. I was wrong! This hose is stronger than any hose I've ever owned. We have goats and horses, so we go through hoses every year. This one promises to last a whole lot longer. It's reinforced from one end to the other. Very impressive!

WaterWorks Kink free? Kinks a lot!
WaterWorks Kink Free Heavy Duty 75 ft hose not the Flexrite This was my previous posting (below) but as I look at my label, it looks a little different. I don't want to say something negative about the wrong hose. Heres a pic of mine--WaterWorks Kink Free Heavy Duty 75 ft hose WaterWorks is the WORST HOSE EVER I have to say this is the worst hose I have ever used. I am so disappointed in its performance. It kinked in several places immediately. I tried using duct tape and even bought clamps thinking it needed time to straighten out. I don't know if I just got the lemon in the bunch?

Hose itself is great, but it leaks at the spigot connection
The hose seems very well built and sturdy, especially the couplings. I've had it outside on the sunny side of my house for a few months now and the hose hasn't cracked or faded. It also coils up easier than the other hose I own. No comment on how scuff resistant it is as it only gets dragged over grass. Unfortunately it leaks at the spigot connection. When I first turn on the water, it sprays water everywhere and then slows to a more gentle leak during use. The mating surface on the spigot is clean, the hose is definitely screwed in tight, and the washer is fine. My other hose does not leak at all. Perhaps the washer isn't thick enough.

We apologize for the issues you are having with your 50' FlexRITE hose. One suggestion would be to add a 2nd washer on top of the original washer. Occasionally faucet types can prevent the threads from completely "seating" against the washer causing leaks. If the problem continues please feel free to contact our customer service group at 800-800-HOSE (4673) and we will be happy to help resolve the issue for you.Waterworks

    No Kinks, No Headache
What a relief to finally have a hose that doesn't kink and twist! My Flexrite water hose has a collar that keeps it from kinking underneath the water spigot and the hose itself resists knotting. No longer do I have to run back and forth trying to keep my hose from tangling and slowing the water flow. The hose itself is sturdy, but not so stiff that it is hard to handle. I am very happy with this product.

    FlexRITE Multipurpose Gardening Hose
The FlexRITE is a strong, durable gardening hose with reinforced couplings protecting the hose from twists and pinching when attaching to the faucet or other hoses, yet lightweight enouph to be manageable and maneuverable while carrying around the yard. The flexibility of the hose is perfect for outlining a new curving walkway, path or flowerbed. I've used the hose many times and absolutely love how well it performs.

    Long, Durable, Working
Right out of the packaging, I noticed a scuff on the hose, so there goes the scuff-resistant claim, and that 5th star. But the hose is long, and the heavy duty couplings are nice. I haven't had the hose kink and have rolled it up a number of times. As for performance, the water is flowing without hesitation. When the hose is fully extended, it's a great hose. If you are looking for an average daily garden hose, this really is your man. It is long enough to reach those harder spots, and gets the water where you need it most. I would recommend fully extending the hose out on first use, let it warm up in the sun for a few hours, and then roll it back up. This will help reduce kinking and give it the flexibility it needs to last for a long time!
