Have burned in this new stove close to a month and great so far. Am very happy with the purchase. Firebox is large! Only issue is "wavy grate" in the top of firebox. Gets in the way when putting wood in. Hope it handles getting hit some.

With a 5500 sq ft shop this stove works better than I thought. Wood size 24” is great, plus the inside can hold a lot of wood. This stove works great for our shop

Heats our entire 4,000 sq. ft., two story ranch house here in Wyoming. Of course our winters have been getting warmer the past few years and our house is well insulated, etc., but we're burning about 35% less wood than with our old wood furnace. Thank you "Mr. High Efficiency!"

Heavy heater
This was quite a project for me an my father to get up the porch steps and into the house, but it has been well worth it. It is very easy to light a fire without filling the room with smoke, unlike our old stove which was 30+ years old. The fire lights easily and drafts properly soon after. The air controls are simple but effective. You can see a difference immediately when you open and close the intakes. It's not thermostatically controlled, but you can set the burn rate pretty steady once you get the hang of it. The exhaust is virtually smokeless once it's up to temperature, which is pretty impressive. It drafts quite well, you can open the door in the middle of a fire and barely any smoke escapes from the door. This stove did need to be cured a bit, so burn it outdoors first if you can. No leaks or fuming that I've noticed. My only remotely negative experience with this stove so far has been that it might be just a tad too large for the size of the house, but I wanted a good sized fire box and this was the biggest I could find without buying a furnace. It's been a bit of a trick to get it burning clean without turning the house into an oven, but I'm getting the hang of it. It should be fine come winter when it gets really cold. Overall, very satisfied with this stove.

I have had this stove for 2 years now. I absolutely love it. I now use half the amount of wood that I used to use with my old Hurricane. I used to have to clean my stove pipe every month but I'm on 2 years and still have absolutely no build up in my pipe. When you get this thing up to operating temp and the double burners kick in there is hardly any smoke coming out. You have to really look for it. You have to follow the instructions on how to build a top down fire unlike the old ways of a bottom up fire. Love the double air vent controls. I would recommend a pipe damper though. I left mine in from my old stove and I'm glad I did. It gives you so much more air control. I spent a lot of time researching different stoves and this one had all the features I was looking for without the high cost of some fancy names out there. Dual air controls. Easy clean out with the ash bin in the bottom. I got the fan with mine. Now that I would say was a waste of money, it's noisy and doesn't move much air, I'm looking for a different option for that right now. I have a 3700 sq. ft home and it heats it nicely. I would highly recommend this stove.

      Works fantastic!
If you follow the directions building the fire, it works great. I first built a fire the traditional way. It took a lot longer to get it to the right operating temperatures. Once you get it to the right operating temperature and you get that double burn going, you get very little smoke out the chimney. When completely closed it up at night I still have good coals in the morning. Just throw some smaller pieces in and open it all up and it's right back to operating temperatures. Very efficient stove when considering fuel consumption over time and the amount of heat it puts out. Highly recommend this stove.

            Really Happy With It
I was worried about some of the bad reviews, but our budget dictated this stove, and I am very happy with it. I do have a word of warning before I get in to the review: the manual specs say the stove pipe must be 19 inches away from the wall, while the back of the stove must be 17 inches minimum. Having both happen at the same time is not possible, and the installation instructions caused us to cut the hole in the ceiling 2 inches too close to the wall; when the pipe is 19 inches from the wall, the back of the stove is 15 inches from the wall, it is physically impossible to have the pipe 19 inches from the wall and the back 17 inches. We solved the problem, but people should know: when installing, MEASURE THE DISTANCE FROM THE BACK OF THE STOVE, AND POSITION THE PIPE HOLE ACCORDINGLY once you've properly measured the stove. Now, about the stove, we have a 2400 square foot house and this thing heats the entire house. I have read some of the descriptions of starting problems, i.e. having to have the door open, but I have only had this problem when the wood isn't sufficiently seasoned. The first time we fired it up, the house reached 80 degrees and we had to open windows to cool off. It functions perfectly if you follow the instructions and use dry wood; at least it has for me. I've had oak coals still red in it after 12 hours, allowing me to load it up before bed and still have coals to aid in getting a fire going in the morning. It isn't fancy and there are no frills, but it heats and looks good enough in our living room. I am very happy with it.

              Not worth raving about
Sounded great from the spec, but isn't living up to expectations. It won't start properly without leaving the door open. then, once started burns quite cold. it seems there is not enough airflow getting into it, even with the cheaply made air adjusters wide open. Even once started, with a fire blazing, it will tame down to a smolder with the door sealed and the air adjusters wide open. Air adjusters closed will nearly put the fire out. I'm going to try to drill some more holes in the air entry to see if it will improve. The outlet is obviously fine since it wakes up with the door cracked, so it's not letting enough air in to support it's size. don't bother with the blower on the back. It makes more noise than it's worth. And the base with the ash tray is about useless. You need to clean the entire bottom out to be able to pull the plug out to get the ashes to the ash tray. By that point you've already cleaned it. then the gasket falls off the plug. So the ash pan is a worthless addition, as is the fan. It will take a huge log. That is nice Overall, I guess we're quite disappointed in this fireplace, even at the price.

Blower design is not what I was expecting
Still learning how to burn this stove, seems to make a lot of charcoal. Blower design restricted at back panel, creates a lot of noise and not much air movement. Enjoy the glass panel door, and looks good. Was a replacement for older stove, easy to assemble and install.

              Worth the money
This is a perfectly good stove. It is one of 5 we own and use, this one is in a 2800 sq ft building. I takes somewhat longer logs and makes more heat than most others, but does not throttle down as well as some of the more expensive stoves. It comes with a blower that is reasonably effective. I'm completely happy with it for the purpose we are using it.

wow! lots of heat. warms house up quickly!
Excellent stove..... but just make sure on your first start up you keep that square metal lid in place in middle of floor of wood stove....also be prepared as with ALL new stoves for some smoke to come from new paint...paint has to cure so your gonna get some and smell from it at all 3 burn stages.....light fire, medium fire and roaring fire....once it has gone through this, you will have a wonderful wood stove that is very efficient.

                Amazing Stove
This stove is totally amazing. I researched dozens of stoves and decided to purchase this one. WOW. I lit the first fire while it was outside so the oil burn off wouldn't be inside. I would highly recommend doing this. The next day we put it in. Lit the first fire with a few small pieces of aspen. Brought the temperature up so that the upper burn tubes lit. Closed the door and adjusted the vents. This thing will run you out of the house if you let it. I split two 8" aspen logs into 4ths. I feed two pieces at a time so as not to overheat it. It took all day to burn up those 8 small pieces of wood. Later I put two halves in an closed the vents. My heavens, I couldn't see any smoke coming out of the chimney. Burns perfectly clean. If your looking for an incredible stove for a good price this is it. I have been totally amazed at how well it works and how easy it is to control. My only regret is that I didn't buy one years ago.

                Good so far
Holds a lot of wood north to south. The smoke must travel to the front of the stove in order to then travel up then back to the flue. Good for burn tubes but some comes out when the door is open. Stove is so tight that you need to leave the door open to get it ripping so you get some smoke in the house. Maybe that's normal. My last stove was a VC old cast stove. Now I have the hang of it....she's a beast. I got the model with legs. Has no outside air kit unless you get the pedestal. The blower is weak. Once firebox is full, you have to be careful not to damage the burn tubes with the last log. Long burn time but not the advertised 14 hours. After 10 she's still putting heat off. By 12 you're almost out of coals.

Clearance specs are bad and don't correlate to UL
I purchased this stove and later found out the manual says it can only be put in a room that is at least 8ft. from floor to ceiling, and 58 inches from stove top to ceiling. So I was going to put it in the next floor upstairs, but then it says the stove pipe from top of stove to top of chimney needs to be at least 15' and didn't want it 9' out the top of my roof, so I'm taking it back. Most all other stove manufacturers say it can be put in a 7 ft. room, and 15' chimney from floor to end of chimney pipe. The draftsmen in China where they make this stove need to go back to the drawing board to re-specify to meet out UL standards here.
