The brushed SS shell is neat, modern and professional looking. It comports with my other SS kitchen appliances. Aesthetics aside, SS is the right material to resist corrosion induced by cooking vapors and splatters. That impressive finish comes well-protected by die-cut film covering its entirety. See Photo 1. Note the convenient top front controls and the exhaustive installation / use / care instructions. This hood is versatile in that it can be mounted several ways, exhausted in several directions or recirculated, and has High and Low fan speeds. The light box is readily accessible and well-placed. See Photo 2. The filter, immediately behind the light, is accessible by removing one screw and a slotted retention tab. Access to the fan and motor is directly above (through) the filter pan. See Photo 3. There are ample KO tabs on various sides through which to attach the power cable. One should consider the J-box “fill” volume of that connector when locating the box. Likewise, the venting options are scored into the shell. See Photo 4. The small rectangular removable panel is the recirculation vent seen opened on Photo 5. All the pre-drilled holes are keyhole shaped which makes layout and fastening easy. For access to installation fastener heads and electrical connections, one must remove the bottom panel as seen on Photo 6. This view also shows the 7-inch round duct adapter flange affixed inside the hood. All fasteners have T-10 heads. I found this quite desirable because they are more secure vis-à-vis potentially scratching the SS with a slipping Phillips driver, and those small screws can be started with the driver tip albeit not necessarily magnetic.

This Arno stainless steel under the cabinet range hood by Vissani seems to be the right fit for our upcoming kitchen remodel. Our main considerations are cost, simple design, effiiciency and upkeep. This stainless steel model is in our price range which means it is very basic. There are no bells and whistles. There is an incandescent light and a fan and a filter. Two rocker switch buttons that control motor speed and light. This hood should be a breeze to keep clean. We like to keep things simple. The only concern is the little torque screws, (which need a #10 torx screwdriver), that holds the filter in place and the cover for the light bulb. Hopefully, we won't have to bend over the range and under the hood every time the filter needs changing or the light bulb needs replacing.

The Vissani Arno 30 in. range hood is a decent product I gave it four stars because you have to use the screw to keep the filter screen in place. A 4.5 stars would be given if I had that choice. My favorite part is how the under side is covered, so no grease gets up in it. This makes it easy to clean. It fits perfect under my 30 inch cabinet and it is easy to install. The filter is made very well and easy to clean . With a 240 CFM fan it does the job. You can have it vent outside your home if that's an option for you, or it can vent back into your room after any grease is removed by the filter. Overall its a decent product..

This VISSANI Range Hood fits a standard thirty-inch opening between cabinets. The overall depth is close to eighteen inches. The overall height – near five inches – is a bit shallower than many other fans. The four stars are based on the fact that the filter area is quite small, about a foot square. For the light it is best to use a T10 Tube bulb. Those classic bulbs are now available in LED format, and therefore the 40 watts can actually be quite bright. This hood does not have too many bells and whistles, so I would classify it as builder’s spec. The two small rocker switches near the front of the hood control the light – On/Off – and with the other rocker switch you can choose the fan speeds – Low-Off-High.

What a great addition to the kitchen! This is a simple solution to keep things safe! This was simple to install with a simple set of instructions- install pieces all included in the product itself! Pro tip- read the instructions to ensure you get started in the best way. This did sound a bit loud at first however, it’s comparable noise with similar products. I was impressed

We are in the middle of renovating our kitchen and needed a rang hood vent for the finished product, we saw this one and decided it was best. It is lightweight and sturdy with quality parts and design. The paint is a gloss black that will easily wipe down to clean. It has a single bulb with a maximum of 40 watts and a two setting fan with HI and LO. It is also much quieter than our last range hood and creates the same amount of suction. It come with one filter that is easily cleaned in the sink or dishwasher. All in all it seems like a good Irangate hood and we look forward to using it regularly.

I love the simple, sleek and modern look of this Vissani Arno 30 in. 240 CFM Convertible Under Cabinet Range Hood in White. It comes with a light and even includes the Charcoal Filter. You can use this ducted or non-ducted (we are using ours ducted through a vent) and it can be used both indoors or in an outdoor kitchen setting. This range hood has 2 fan speeds and a light switch. The white finish is smooth and a beautiful bright white for a modern, clean look.

It took a bit more time than usual to install due to having to take off the bottom cover. I do like this on second thought because it makes it a lot easier to clean. Hardware was provided and so was bulb. You will need a small allen head bit/wrench to install this. This needs to be hard-wired in but you can wire a plug if needed. I like that the filter has not only a metal side but also a cotton side as well to trap more dirt and keep your vents cleaner/reduce smells; however users may find the latch hard to twist when changing them out. The appearance is good enough for a high-end home yet is affordable enough for nearly anyone. The cfm ratings will tell how how efficient it is at eliminating smoke/odors and I'm assuming it doesn't pull too much energy. The metal is thin which has the tendency to to easily get dented so be careful during install and use. I was not able to mount mine perfectly flush with the back wall but this was a replacement and not a new build; yours should go in fine. Standard width, plenty of instructions, 2 fan speeds and the small E12 bulb can always be upgraded to a brighter and more efficient T6 or C7 led if needed.

The vent hood is made of thin sheet metal and bends under its own weight. The instructions are minimal, as they don't provide the few critical pieces of information required to install this hood. One major part being that the ventilation needs to be opened up by removing specific knock-out panels, which during the removal process causes severe dents in the top of the hood (even when being gentle and precise with your tapping). The round vent adapter, which can be found inside of the hood during installation, attaches to the top of the hood with two small screws which allows the rest of the thin sheet metal adapter to flop around and leak vented air. Make sure you use lots of foil tape on all connections. (Not provided). Flipping either of the switches on the hood let's out an industrial sheet metal ping sound, which adds to the cheap feel of this product. Overall, lack of proper documentation and poor build quality.

Nice non vented stove hood. By non vented i mean it doesn't need duct work. This stainless steel hood is nice. It has two speeds and a light. The installation was very easy and straight forward. Couple screws that are supplied with mollys if needed. You will also need a torx bit to take the cover off to get to the bulb and where the mounting holes are. This stove hood is a nice lower end but still nice quality addition to the kitchen.

After updating my kitchen with all new appliances I was left with an old range hood that , while it worked fine, looked very out of place. This black sleek and modern range hood looks great in my kitchen. This hood can be used as a recirculating unit or outside venting if your house is equipped that way. There are 2 fan speeds to meet your needs, both of which were quieter then my old unit, and a basic light. It does need an LED upgrade to get more light to the area! Highly recommend doing this asap! Installation was straightforward as disconnecting the electric wire and unscrewing my old one from the cabinet and replacing this one the same way. It was very simple and completed the upgrade of my kitchen. Nice look.....

Seems to be a basic vent hood...not a lot of power, features or wow. Came in great shape and does look nice. It does come with a really weak normal light bulb, but with an LED significant wattage increase, then it give off decent light. Does come in 3 colors...I got the stainless....it is pretty thin, but good enough for a vent hood. Overall a good buy and nice product.

This is an easy to install stainless hood vent, which can be vented internally or externally depending on your set up. This is a direct wire hookup to your 110 volt house power. The bulb is replaceable and it's a regular bulb, not LED, though you can replace it with a compatible LED bulb if you wish. 240CFM is enough to vent most ranges without a problem but may be a bit low in power if you get all 5 burners going or are frying a lot of food. The filter is cleanable, and replaceable. Simple screws secure this in place and it's not heavy at all, one person can install this by themselves. You do not need a heavy duty cabinet or wall to mount this too, standard hardware will hold it in place. For basic installs where you want stainless steel AND you don't need a massive amount of air flow, this will work fine. Recommended.

This Vissani Arno 30 in. 240 CFM Convertible Under Cabinet Range Hood Lighting and Charcoal Filter is excellent quality and looks great. I needed to update my old hood which has been here since we got the house years ago and this fits the bill. This has a convertible vent install so you do not need to have an outside vent but I will be installing this with the vent. It is hardwired so there is no cord and plug, it will just connect to the existing wiring.

This is a basic 30 in. under cabinet range hood in stainless steel. It is on the lower spectrum of suction power with a single fan rated at only 240 Cubic Feet per Minute (CFM). The fan itself is in the center of the hood rather than the full length of the unit which can be found on more expensive models with multiple fans. Besides Stainless Steel it is offered in either Black or White. Features include two fan speeds and a light. Controls are simple and straight forward. There are two rocker buttons on the top right front slanted edge. Press the 3-position fan rocker button to cycle through On (low), high and finally Off. Press the 2-position light rocker button for either On or Off. It utilizes a removal Charcoal/Grease Filter for easy cleaning. It is fairly light and could be installed by one knowledgeable person. I typically find it easier if I get the assistance of my spouse/children to help hold the unit while I secure it in place. I prefer to have ducted hood venting even though you can install this Range Hood without ducting. I think it makes the hood more efficient at expelling the cooking smells with ducts. There are cutouts at the top of the hood for duct installations. The hood requires an electrical outlet typically in the cabinet above the unit. Please note a small torque screwdriver/wrench is required to remove the screws securing the plastic light cover and the little black filter securing bracket.

This Vissani black convertible range hood looks fantastic. I really like the sleek lines and great look. The weight is good too, not extremely heavy for installation. This range hood can be installed with or without a vent. If you want to install with a duct/vent, just take out the appropriate punch out - back or top. Leave them in for a self contained venting.

I was trying to come up with a simple solution for a vent hood for a small place in the country that didn't already have a ventilation stack to the outside. This Vissani model had a recirculation option so I felt it might work but was a bit apprehensive at how effective it would be. It turns out that I need not have worried as it works better than I expected it to. The installation was pretty straight forward and it came with plenty of installation hardware. The light is bright enough. The switches on top of the unit are simple. Nothing complicated here......it just works!

The range hood can be used to vent the exhaust to the outside through a duct or to filter and recirculate it to the inside of the house. The instructions are helpful in the installation process. You just need to be careful with the measurements and follow the guidelines for power source connection. It requires attention to detail but is pretty straightforward. The power is enough for everyday household usage. The lighting is also very bright and useful. The filter can be cleaned easily and reused. The stainless steel body is easy to clean and rust resistant. The overall quality of this is pretty good. I would recommend this product.

This white under cabinet range hood is simple with no bells or whistles but looks really nice. The under-hood area is encased with the same clean white finish which makes it super easy to clean, which I think is a major benefit of this hood! It was a little difficult to wire up because the wires in the hood were shorter than I expected. I had to hire an electrician to re-wire my wires in the wall. The sound of the fan was very quiet which was also a nice surprise. All in all, this hood looks great with my white glass top range, and it adds such a clean look to that area of my kitchen! So much better than hoods without the enclosed area under it. You'll love how easy it is to keep clean!

Vissani 30in Range Hood Undercabinet Stainless Steel 240CFM Convertible Indoors, Silver This is a very good under cabinet range hood. Easy to use controls and the stainless looks good and it's easy to keep clean. It was easy to hard wire with the install. I think it was a #10 torx bit to take the cover off to get to everything for install. Overall very happy with this and it seems like it should last a very long time and stay looking good too.

Opened the box but haven't installed it since we're waiting on inspections. at 240 CFM you don't want it too high above the stove since it can't suck up much. 240CFM is on the low side, so its good for a small kitchen, little use, apartment, etc. we used this in a rental but accidentally used the wrong upper cabinet so this will be kinda high. painted the walls brownish so hopefully it hides any stains. the filters are cheap and thin so replace often.

This hood is a must if you have one of the old ones where to clean it you have to get up and all around the inside to clean it. This one is flat so the only cleaning you have do is to clean the cover. Much better and worth the money. When you measure for the screws to mount it make sure you measure from both sides of the cabinet and not just the cabinet you screw to be because you have to consider the trim on the face of cabinets. There is about a 3/8 inch difference. The kitchen hood is extremely light so 1 person can handle it but its always nice to have a second person. Also, you need to make space where the power cord connects to the hood because it sticks out on the back. They want you to put filler panels to make it flush with the bottom but I just used longer screws and worked great with less trouble. The directions are extremely confusing on where to mark for the screws so I measured the hood itself and it measures from the back 1 1/2 in. and 10 1/2 in and come over 1 in. from both sides. The light is bright and has a clear cover.

The Vissani Arno range hood fits under your cabinet and measures 30 in. 240 CFM. I love the black hood cover as it not only enhances the look of my kitchen, but also helps hide any dirt or grease. The body of the unit is made of stainless steel which is easy to clean. The light provides a nice amount to illuminate your stove while cooking. The charcoal filter will assist if you do not have an outside duck, and you are looking to use the recirculate function. This allows the air to flow back into your home. Although this is a very simple hood to install. Ensure that you rely on the instructions as they made the installation process easier. The fan rotates at 240 CFM’s, Again if you are looking for a basic exhaust fan this is a good choice at a reasonable price. The only issue I had was that my was sent direct to my home, and due to the lack of cushion in the box, the upper left front was damage. I’ve ordered a replacement and will swap this one out as soon as the new one arrives.

This convertible under cabinet range hood can be mounted without venting through the roof or not. It has a bright bulb and one speed fan. The filter is removeable for washing. Easy set up but I did notice that when we put the bottom back on that it did not want to stay in place to well. The metal is not the best I have seen. It does have some flex to it but, it does look nice and sleek. The light bulb comes with it and it is a 40 watt 25 volt bulb. The fan has one speed and is relatively quiet but you do not have the option of different speeds. The color is a stark white and has a glossy sheen to it.

This vent hood is standard 30" wide but not as high as most other vent hoods. In case of replacing an old hood one will need a trim board, as in our kitchen remodel. The hood is made from light duty sheet metal and uses T10 star drive for screws, even holding the lamp cover and filter latch required T10, which should be Philips head for such routine tasks. It is shipped with an incandescent bulb, which was lose inside the hood assembly, it should be a LED bulb for more brightness or lower power. The fan is very small and uses about half as much power as other 240cfm hoods. I have no way to confirm the air volume flow, but to get to this high flow rate with a small motor requires little obstruction, ie filtering. It is a 'convertible' hood - venting either to the outside or through a carbon filter back to the room. We had no path to the outside and required recirculating. Unfortunately the carbon filter is very small and extremely thin - one can even see through. This should not be the case, a carbon filter like this is typically 1/8 to 1/4" thick . Air is forced through to catch odors and an Aluminum grid in front of the carbon filter strips evaporating oil and water. This filter can not do a good job for long - typically a filter should last 6 months before the carbon needs to be replaced and the Aluminum cleaned. Here both is in one unit and it can not hold much at all. We have no long term experience for this hood, but the small and poor filter (required due to the small motor) are the main reason for a low rating, it may work more efficiently with outside venting . I recommend looking for a 240 cfm hood which has filters almost as wide as the hood. substantial aluminum pre-filter and a more powerful motor.

This hood vent is attractive and functions as it should. The vent was fairly difficult to install, it does not come with a plug, which is fine if you are hard wiring it in, but if you have an outlet you will need to purchase a plug and attach it. The metal ‘cut outs’ for the duct opening was extended difficult to remove. Normally these merely bend until the small joint attachments give but the cut was not thorough enough so it took quite a bit of time to get the piece out. Once that was done and the plug I had to get for it was attached the installation was reasonably straightforward. I do not like that the control buttons are basically on the top of the unit which seems odd and for a shorter pers may be hard to reach.
