Home Depot and/or Viagrow are up to it again, the old bait and switch. DO NOT BUY, unless you are prepared to receive something other what you pay for. I need pots the size listed, so I bought them. The size listed and picture are for 3 gallon bags that are 10.75" High and 8" Wide, they sent pots 11" high and 13.5 wide. I ordered these because they did the same thing on my last order, that was for 3-gallon, 13"H x 9.5 W with 12" saucers, I received bags that were 9"H x 15.5 W and so the 12" saucers were useless too. On the first order I tried to contact both Home Depot and Viagrow's so called Customer service with no success. Smarten Up Home Depot and/or Viagrow. I am just so sick of false advertising. The quality of the product looks good, but what good is that if you can't use them. I would give no stars if I could, not happy!

***** Pot has 5 "trade" gallon capacity (= 3.6 US liquid gallons) but plenty big all the same ***** This fabric pot accommodates potting mix, not dirt or potting soil. When filled with mix, it is a little unstable and a heavy wind can knock it over. This would be especially true, I think, if it held a densely leafed plant or a tall top-heavy plant. I describe the pot as utilitarian. It is not in the least decorative.

Very nice product which I think will be a great alternative to a raised bed garden. So much easier to move things around if you don't like where they are. Although it's still early, I've got one starting some little tomato plants indoors, and so far, things are looking good (I'll be transplanting to the larger version of these pots later). Indoors of course, I am providing a large saucer to catch the water draining out. With the promise of good root development due to improved aeration and keeping the roots cooler (important in our high desert climate) I expect a bumper crop. I also prefer the black over the beige as I believe it will not look "dirty" so quickly. Good value for the money too, very affordable.

I use these breathable planters to start my seeds indoors in potting soil. They are made of a durable black breathable material. The handles are short, but they are plenty sufficient for carrying the pots around. I have not noticed any water seeping out of the pots, though I am careful not to over-water. They fold up small and are easily stored when not in use, which is preferable (for me) rather than plastic pots that stack and crack. Overall I am pleased and would recommend.

I love these pots. I'm relatively new at gardening so I probably over-water my plants some. These pots will help with that problem. This size is perfect for single plants that will grow fairly large. The handles are well sewn and are useful early. However, as the soil gets more compacted, the pot may be too heavy to lift using the handles alone. Still, this is a great pot!

HD program product review. Although I have not used these single plant fabric pots before, I am a big fan of the bed type of fabric planters. Looking forward to spring here in the Northeast. I have had success with everything I've grown in fabric containers. These are well made, rugged as expected and the strong handles make for easier handling, too. Will try patio tomatoes & ornamental pepper plants in these. Love these!

I’ve used fabric planting bags before that worked very well and lasted about 3 years. The 5 Gal. Breathable Fabric Root Aeration Pot with Handles are a good size for small shrubs for either permanent or temporary planting. The material is a bit thinner than I expected but that doesn’t necessarily mean they won’t last. The handles are shorter, which actually makes it a bit easier for me to carry. You could add Styrofoam peanuts or pieces in the bottom to make the planter lighter, if necessary. Like with any planter you’ll want to use potting mix, not soil, to get good drainage. They can be used as any planter, made from other materials, would be used. I like the price as well. BTW: the 5-gallon size is great for growing potatoes because they’re easier to dump when you want to harvest.

I guess the older you get, the easier you try to make your life, hobbies, daily "wants" to be. I fell in love with gardening when I was just a snot-nosed kid during the summers while staying and playing with my grandmother in Oklahoma. She loved gardening, fishing and cooking....all the things I really have enjoyed my whole life. Tillers, hoes, weeding, well, those are now a thing of the past!!! I began container gardening about 12 years ago when we moved to this home. The soils are/were SO DEPLETED in our area because of the 140 years of constant cotton farming, I could not get hardly ANYTHING to truly thrive. Then came this new and improved idea I found on, :) Facebook! Rain Gutter Gardening in all its versions has made me a GREAT GARDENER AGAIN!!!! These grow bags filled with the right soil mixture helps my wife and I to once again be able to give away bags and bags of fruit and veggies every season!!! Here in Texas we can almost grow year around. Yeah....its GRRRREEEAAATT!! I even remember that time last summer when it didn't even bother me to pick that ONE, 1, AND ONLY 1 WEED..... Ya gotta try this, TRUST ME!

I planted tomatoes and melons in these bags. They grew for about a month and then quit growing and never produced any fruit. Would not recommend for hot dry desert climates.

They are coming in handy. Have several things planted, but it's still early in the season.

        Great Purchase!
These fabric tubs filled the Bill! Because of Deer and Rabbit issues the only place to plant a "garden" was on a strip of the back yard with rock mulch. I needed 5 of these for 3 tomatoes and 2 peppers they are the perfect size to plant one of each in leaving room to stake (through the handle)and put a tower on each. I am very pleased with the quality and ease of use on this 7qt bag.

Just what I was looking for.
Just the right size, now just got to get the right plant. Bought for using as inserts for wire basket planters. Used the fiber last year and did not work well since they took up so much room. Not enough soil space for the plants to grow.

very useful item for windy balcony
I like these grow bags a lot. The walls are high, and since many plants don't need deep soil, I folded the sides over to lower the height. An unexpected bonus was that when heavy winds occurred I could unfold the sides to protect young plants. I have noticed also that an eggplant which I started in the growbag is larger than one I put into a large plastic pot at the same time.

Light Weight and Easy to Move
Good for tomatoes, recyclable, movable, flexible. We purchased these to start a container tomato and vegetable garden on our side porch. Tomatoes will grow to eight feet in one bag. Other vegetables grown were collards, cabbage, lettuce, spinach and carrots. Purchased three years ago and the bags show no signs of deterioration or rotting.

        Very good product!
I read a University study done about using root bags vs black plastic containers for plants and trees. It found that the bags discouraged roots from circling like they do in the plastic containers. I used these bags and the plants are thriving in them. I haven't harvested to see the roots yet but the plants are doing much better in the bags. I highly recommend switching to the bags.

        waste of money
Quality was good. They functioned poorly. as soon as plants reached a nice size bag became moldy and affected my beautiful plants. Then the fungus was in the plant and went through the rest of the garden. I also had them elevated off the ground so air could circulate because I saw this as a possible problem.

        Great Fab pots!
I tried the one gallon size and had such good results I got the 3 gallon size; These pots are amazing I grew start to finish in these last year and this year I will be expanding summer and winter crops, you have so much more room to grow when you can arrange your green house any time; The handles on the pots allow you to move it if need be. I have removed dirt from above ground gardens lined with plastic and sat these pots right in, am bottom feeding no waste at feeding time. I still water the tops of my plants they dry out quicker in these bags but nothing my automatic drip system couldn't handle makes for easy gardening. Don't let the size or depth of these pots fool you plenty of growing room here.

they are good only for 1.5 years
My review is not based on my experience. I returned those pots because I've read that they are good only for 1.5 years. I wanted to plant perennials. I don't think it worth to invest money in something, which will start to disintegrate in 1.5 year.
