A: These breathable "pots" are more of a heavy duty fabric bag. Sturdy handles. I have various uses for them in the yard. I like having plants in these bags because they can lift out and change pots. Leaving the plant or small tree in the bag for transferring.

Q:Once filled with potting mix and tomato plant, how likely are they to tip over as plant becomes fruitful and/or with normal breezes.

Answer This Question
A: Hi Shebu
These should be stable in normal weather (i.e. breezes or light showers), as the weight of the potting mix should keep it upright. However, if you are growing tomatoes, you should offer some support for the plant as you normally would. The pot itself could be placed inside a round wire tomato cage. This would allow the fruiting branches on the tomato to be tied to the wire mesh for support and it would also keep the pot from tipping.

A: With the weight of potting soil in a 5gal pot, it shouldn't tip over. You will want to stake your tomato plant anyway, so you might put the stake or support for the tomatoes outside the pot and secure the pot to the stake if you need extra support.
