Expensive but well made. I installed myself. Would be much easier to accomplish if it was installed before the skylight was. Especially since I had to do it from a ladder which was 14 feet off the floor, and at an angle. Other than that, I like the results.

Very difficult to install but looks and works great.

This is a must needed item. It really does the job in blocking out unwanted light. Installation was a breeze and I believe anyone could do it.

homedepot website does not work. Can not select any dim. I wonder how the product works :-(

We are so happy with the 3 skylights and we are even happier with the shades. The remotes are easy to use and give us the option to close the shades to darken the room on hot days. Great product!

We had a contractor do the installation of the skylights and blinds. Love them!

I bought one of the motorized skylight shades and it worked great for a week. Then it started to hang up and when the shade was moving and the motorized gears were slipping and making a horrible noise. I took the unit down and tried to see if I could see anything wrong or if something got into the gears. I could not find anything wrong and then installed the unit again, but the shade still hung up and the gears made noise again. Velux appears to be a good manufacturer and my motorized skylight has been working fine.

I ordered this blind for a 15 foot ceiling skylight. After a couple of hours installing I activated the remote and it closed half way then started making a loud clacking sound and stopped. However, I spoke with the Home Depot online order desk and they allowed me to return it. New one is great.

The description would have you believe that this is a 30-second install, but it does take some time. Thankfully, it's very easy and the process is well-designed. As long as this lasts for years, it definitely earned the five-star rating.

We love this blind. We did have a professional install it for us. It seemed a little more complicated for a do it yourself person, who has never installed something like this before.

Since the blind is specifically made to fit the Velux window, installation was a breeze and it looks great. The engineering and functional quality justifies the price, for sure, and the light filtering material does a good job cutting down the radiant heat gain, while still letting light in.
