This is a must needed item. It really does the job in blocking out unwanted light. Installation was a breeze and I believe anyone could do it.

Didn’t fit despite stating it was the proper blind for our model.

homedepot website does not work. Can not select any dim. I wonder how the product works :-(

Color was perfect - love the solar feature- once crummy directions were figured out - that took 1 hour! - then it was pretty easy. Nice and quiet and very nice quality

I bought one of the motorized skylight shades and it worked great for a week. Then it started to hang up and when the shade was moving and the motorized gears were slipping and making a horrible noise. I took the unit down and tried to see if I could see anything wrong or if something got into the gears. I could not find anything wrong and then installed the unit again, but the shade still hung up and the gears made noise again. Velux appears to be a good manufacturer and my motorized skylight has been working fine.

I ordered this blind for a 15 foot ceiling skylight. After a couple of hours installing I activated the remote and it closed half way then started making a loud clacking sound and stopped. However, I spoke with the Home Depot online order desk and they allowed me to return it. New one is great.

The description would have you believe that this is a 30-second install, but it does take some time. Thankfully, it's very easy and the process is well-designed. As long as this lasts for years, it definitely earned the five-star rating.

We love this blind. We did have a professional install it for us. It seemed a little more complicated for a do it yourself person, who has never installed something like this before.

Since the blind is specifically made to fit the Velux window, installation was a breeze and it looks great. The engineering and functional quality justifies the price, for sure, and the light filtering material does a good job cutting down the radiant heat gain, while still letting light in.

Easy to install and works great

The blinds fit great, very happy with them. The room is so much cooler being able to close them to keep out the sun! As far as the directions, the clips that hold the strings is very poorly written. The picture of the clip is not very helpful. As far as the quality they are great. I am so glad that I purchased them. Being able to order by the three numbers on the skylight was great. it was a perfect fit!!

Easy installation and great performance.

Just installed it. The heat coming through the skylight was extreme. With the blind you don't feel any blocks the sun but has a nice filtering light coming through so it doesn't darken the room.

I am so angry. The second time the blind was used the ring broke off. The ring at the bottom of the blind is designed to receive the pole/hook to raise and lower the blind. Who designed this poorly engineered ring. The ring is simply crimped or compression fitted to the metal edge of the blind. The ring is broken off and I have no idea how it can be repaired. The blind and rod cost as much as the entire skylight with flashing kit.

Easy and Quality

Well designed blind fit specifically to certain model of Velux skylight. However, I do agree with other reviewers' comment about the installation instruction is hard to understand. I believe a video instruction will help to resolve the issue.

This blind helps cut down the glare we had before insulation as well as the heat, so we are pretty happy we can now use our kitchen midday. Installation was fairly easy, there were no directions in one section so we called Velux and they emailed them right away, that was excellent. The instructions are OK, but they take a bit of thought to wrap your mind around because there are no words. Once you get into the mind of Velux, it's all good. Everything fit as predicted, no issues. no complaints.

Work great. Easy to install. Real improvement in room temp in my attic loft.
