Buyer Beware
We followed the instructions to the letter when setting this base. Using the recommended mortar we seated the base and allowed the mortar to dry. When the tile guy came he refused to tile this base. He said the flex in the base would cause the grout and possibly even the tile to crack over time. We pulled the base up, cleaned it, and tried setting it again with the same results, too much flex in the base. Finally we scrapped it and went with the Kerdi Schluter system. I wish we would have started with that. What a waste of $600.

    Not worth the money
Base is made of very lightweight material, and requires a substantial mortar base to support. It's easy to leave gaps, and filling them required drilling holes in the base. Regret my purchase - i would have saved time and money by just building a traditional hand built mortar base.

    Great product
This is a well made and easy to install product. However, I recommend, if you have the ability, to frame out the walls after you install the pan, or at least, after you have the pan on hand to use as a guide. I installed mine in an existing frame that was almost perfect but I did have to add some 2X4's to the right wall to bring the frame out about a half inch so the backer board would be flush with the side of the pan. My only complaint is that it came with three packages of mix for the tile adhesive and no instructions. I haven't tiled yet but I think you can find the information online. Oh, and it is a bit spendy, but I needed the convenience of brevity.

      nice product
Expensive product for what it is. I guess it is worth it to prevent leaks! Delivery was quick right to my door. Shower pan showed up and looked different than than the shampoo niche. Color was gray instead of black, lighter material, and a little flimsy. Manufacture said it was all normal after reviewing video I sent them. Morter bed was a pain but all set like a rock. Lining up the drain was challaging with no access from below.

      Great idea. Hire a pro
The person who installed this has experience with tile and he found there is no room for error as the included epoxy will JUST cover the surface area. It also dries faster that mortar. Once the epoxy sets you are done. It also is hard to clean smudges which get on the tile. Not for a first timer. Installer feels it is well made and will use them again.

Works great, but follow the instructions.
In spite some negative reviews, this shower pan was very easy to install. Most of the negative reviewers either misunderstood or did not follow all the installation instructions. You use a mortar bed on the floor to seat and level the pan. You do not turn it over and try to fill the grooves with mortar. You do not step into the pan until the mortar is dry. Mortar does not "glue" the pan down.

        Very nice shower base
I felt the base was expensive, but I am very pleased with the end result. It is a great alternative to laying the rubber mat and cement and trying to get the slope exactly right. After it is laid in the morter bed and you have your tile epoxied in place, it is very sturdy and solid. I did have enough epoxy to finish the job, but you don't want to spill any because you might not make it and it is very difficult to remove. I used a disposable flooring glue trowel with 1/8 inch notch. I emailed the manufacturer with a question and they were very fast in answering.

          tile with caution
product works good, but if you need to tile up the wall past the side walls, you will probibly run out of the epoxy grout. Use the smallest noch that you can to do the job. to purchase more grout is quite expensive...

            Flimsy Fortune
Not heavy duty as I would have thought... In the description the manufacture seemed a little arrogant about the item... So my expectations were high. Sent it back

            Shower Pan worth the money
This sure made a tough job a lot easier. At first I thought it was pricey, but compared to the cost of having to do it the other way, it really isn't. With the built in drain, we basically set it in place and went from there. What a clever idea!
