It worked perfect for the first time using it. My Plumber loved it, The inspector thought it was great and the tile setter loved it. Don't have to worry about a vinyl liner ever leaking. Prefect pitch for water run off. GREAT PRODUCT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unless you have access to the drain from below don’t bother. Impossible to set and the product is very fragile. Seems very cheap. Poor design and quality.

Very poor quality for price. Confusing directions and videos to set base. Epoxy is a pain to work with and sets up fast. Better have all your tile cut first. And they don’t give you enough epoxy! Had to spend another $66 for more. Big thumbs down.

I had an apparently less than experienced contractor use this to install a tile shower floor. A blessing in disguise is that he did not slope the floor correctly so not all the water drained correctly. Fired him, hired an experienced tile installer to tear out the old floor and install new. The whole pan had to be torn out because the weight of the tiles and epoxy and grout apparently, caused the pan to crack along nearly the entire length of one side where it met the floor of the pan before the shower was actually ever used. There was no way to tell while it was all intact. So the grout would have started cracking, and water would have started leaking behind the tiles probably almost immediately. So save your money and heartache, and just have your shower floor done the tried and true method.

Appears to be a quality product, but the cost as excessive. For such a simple product the markup must be extremely high.

Worked well, but was a little fragile. I broke a piece moving it. Also, I kept asking myself, how does this thing cost so much. But it did work as promised.

This pan may work well for some, but it is very lightweight and required the same amount of work in terms of a mortar underlayment as using a rubber liner. You don't just slide the Tile Redi pan in like you do with a vinyl pan. As far as I can tell, the Tile Redi pan is a substitute for the rubber liner, curb and blocking, which total about $60 and an hour of work. I sent my Tile Redi back and did the shower base myself.

    Nice Pan
Hired a plumber to install the pan. The drain pipe had to be moved, so I decided to let the pros take care of that. The pan was very easy to install and it is ready for tile. So far, we are very happy with this product.. Follow the instructions on the video, they were very helpful.

    Great Product
We have used Tile Redi shower bases in 2 bathroom remodels in our Austin TX home and have found these products to be first quality and the contractors state they are much, much easier to use than building a shower base with mortatr or fiberglass. They are a bit pricey, but having had them in place now for over 5 years with zero leaks of problems with tiles, I will certainly use them again.

    Do Not Buy!
Would say 0 if I could. Two different tile contractors tried to install and could not get it to work right. Took it out 4 times. 4th time was to remove and install old fashion cement base. Now it won't move and break my tile. Very expensive mistake! Do not by this!

    Pricey Shower Pan
I know I got a good leak-proof base and that is what I really was looking for. The product was on the expensive side and required several steps to install which resulted in higher labor cost. Product could be improved by changing the outside and inside tapered "walls" to vertical 90 degree walls. Overall it was the peace of mind factor (leak-proof) that got my wallet out. Home Depot handled the transaction flawlessly.

Do not buy a tile ready pan
A contractor suggested that we put in a tile ready shower pan for ease of installation. Like many other reviews, the pan, with more than an inch of mortar, flexed when stepped on. Our tile guy did not want to risk his work by putting in the tile, and after much thought and reading many other negative reviews, we decided to just build a shower pan using the tried and true way. Furthermore, the company did not return our calls after several attempts to discuss how we might keep the pan from flexing. DO NOT BUY this product. It will cost you more in the long run.

      Perfect shower pan
My contractor had no trouble installing the pan and had no trouble tiling it along with the shower walls. We love it!

      Don't waste your money
I wanted this product work and in spite of the negative reviews on other websites, I purchased it anyway. Installed it exactly to the manufacturers instructions, in mortar on a concrete floor. 48 hours after setting it in the mortar the base flexed in places when stepped on and this would have made the tile crack. The base had to be removed and in the interest of time and money I standard shower pan was put in. A total waste of money. Please, read what is said in the internet tile forums about this product before you buy, and heed their warnings!

Product made it much easier for a novice to build a new large shower without creating a motor pan.
Pan worked well and was very easy to install once I called the support techs to get additional information. Cementing it down was in question and the video recommended using a dry base cement was wrong...the tech informed me to mix it a bit wet so it would seat better and it went down solid and level. Epoxy is needed for the pan tiling and is a bit more messy to work with than thin set, but did not need to do to much to make it look great. Careful on the handling of the redi-pans....they are just a foam type plastic and can break if grabbed wrong or dropped....I broke a corner off just by grabbing it wrong, but was able to cement it back together sufficiently.

        Premium Product
I have several of these units in various sizes in my home. After reading the reviews i felt obligated to comment on this product. If you read and understand the install instructions and follow them properly, this product will work exactly as stated. One of the reviews said he drilled holes in the base, this is completely wrong and he should never have done such a thing. The only complaint i could give on this product is the instruction are a bit vague in some area's.. however tech support is available 7 days a week and very helpful. I believe in the product so much that i am about to order my 3rd unit for a bathroom in my home. Highly recommend.
