I'm completely bothered that it is so expensive compared to similar products at different home/ construction store. We will be returning them soon

Perfect for the job.

The top and bottom plates are loose and this could be dangerous under loads. The adjustable bolt is loose as well. So you have to hold the top together while adjusting and holding the bottom assembly together. And if you are putting up a temporary beam, then you need more hands, at least 3 people. The cap nuts are not a solid piece, the cap part of it falls off the nut. I can’t believe what they charged for this. Also, not surprisingly, I can’t find any information on where these are actually made.

This is exactly what it says it is. Good price, easy to assemble and install in my crawlspace. I would recommend this to a friend.

Worked very well. Exactly what we needed to keep our floors stable and level.

Would be much better it the base and threaded extension was permanently attached to the post. I guess its made this way to fit in a smaller package.. Rural King sells this item for $24.. half the price of HD.

This has been an excellent temporary adjustable support post! Rarely need something like this but when you do Tiger posts are great.

Easy to use and supporting well. Engineered well.

My son had a floor with excess deflection due to a heavy work island placed in the middle of the kitchen. Walking in one area would cause the floor to bounce. I placed the Jack post beneath the primary joist that supported the kitchen floor joist and eliminated most of the excess deflection. I had a concrete floor to support the Jack post which made life easier.

No clear instructions, very difficult to use, not quite adjustable.

I bought three of these. Two came with all the pieces the third one did not and i can not find those other pieces anywhere to purchase. So now im stuck with two polls. Thank you Homedepot for not checking your boxes.

I bought this post from Tiger and the red kind that is hand-adjustable as well. This gray post had a more cumbersome design to install, the steel was way less thick in dimension, and the fact that it comes in 4 or so pieces makes it more difficult to install by yourself. The top and bottom plates are also so thin and the bottom plate fit with the post is less than desirable. If you can find the red Tiger post or other brand that is adjustable by hand, I would highly recommend that over this gray adjustable post.
