I bought 4 of them to correct a sagging main beam in my basement, New England 1930s colonial home. Install wasn't bad. Relatively straight forward, easy enough for 1 person. I'm following instructions to the exact letter, and raising 1/2 turn per week until I reach the desired height, the suggested rate to mitigate damages from adjustment.
Quality of the product, eh, so so. The paint/powder coat finishes were chipped and scratched inside the new packaging, shown in review photo attached. That could be easily remedied with better packaging from the manufacturer.
Tools needed for install & adjustment:
Adjustable Wrench
3/4" wrench - used for adjustment
Level
Screws to attach top & bottom plates to structure
Cons:
Pricey/Expensive for the quality & materials provided
Poor Finishing
Poor Packaging

These jack posts were just the ticket! I needed to place a temporary beam in my kitchen so I could repair some water damaged joists in the Kitchen Ceiling. After looking around and comparing what was available I found these at about a quarter of the price as the competitions. They were easy to assemble and get placed and are holding the joists in place nicely while I work on the floor above.

I purchased 5 of these Jack Posts. Doing a repair on my basement, I had 1 26 ft. wall that had buckled and was being supported by the stairs. My mason assisted us to open several holes in the wall and support the weight of the house with 4x4's and the jack posts. Now the wall is out and is supported partially with these posts. The wall will go back in yet this month. They worked quite well and were adjustable to the height needed at the time.

The Tiger Brand Jack Post were very reasonable in cost and provided the support required to get the job done. The original/existing cross beam and support to the upper floor joist had deteriorated and required replacement. The Tiger Brand Jack Post were very easy to install and adjust in height to support the new 4"X4" cross beam.
Nothing to dislike about this product.
Just installed this product.
This product exceeded expectations.

I would have liked the top and bottom plate to be a little heavier gauge and the bottom plate to have attached better. But, overall, I really liked the product. I have plans to install two more jacks, and I intend to use the Tiger brand again.

Extremely easy to adjust and install. Great value for little cost. The original jack post (installed in 1984) in our garage rusted out from the inside out and failed. I quickly purchased 3 new posts from Home Depot, replaced the old and installed all three for additional support at a cost of $150. Total purchase and repairs were completed in the same day in just 2 hours.

Low grade jack for sale
Mind you this stays in place most of the time, forever. A bit pricey.
First, adjuster holes are on the larger outside tube (never seen that before) not as depicted on box. Second, material of tube and plate is scary thin, where factory punched out adjuster holes the tube is bulged all around. Third, the threaded pin bolt (not carriage) is smaller in diameter than punched holes and you need a pipe wrench to hold round head while a crescent wrench tightens nut. Forth they pressed flat spots in the adjuster screw that you will have to have a 3/4" open end wrench handy (no pin rod through a hole). Fifth the base and top plates are very thin. I watched video on the use and not understanding why you would put the screw on the bottom (no control to hold it from tipping and falling and rust the threads from floor moisture), video discussed it was stronger to put it in upside down, It's the same weight either way. No way would I put 18,000 lbs on the smallest adjustment. Engineering nightmare. Pretty looking when all done, wallet is a lot lighter too. 3 different wrenches, a level and a step stool are needed.

Good screw jack support
I purchased one of these pole jacks for use on my front porch to replace/repair rotted wooden columns. It jacked up the overhang with ease - estimate at lease 1000 lbs of weight on the pole jack.
I made a few modifications to the jack for ease of use. Did some work with a MIG welder and welded the base to the bottom pole and also welded the screw insert bushing into the top pole - see pictures. Then touched up the paint with dark gray to match.
I welded the pieces together for ease of use just because I have the welder. These jacks will work just fine as the are right out of the box.
They are pretty robust and will easily handle the rated loads.
I'm very pleased with it and for the price range, I can't imagine finding anything any better.

Did what I needed, easy to set up. Only downside is that it is not meant to be a permanent replacement for the old, rusted away Lally column. That is what I wanted to buy but they are unavailable at HD, go figure.

Decent product, I’ll purchase again, however I do feel it’s a bit overpriced for what ur actually getting, couple screws, couple nuts, & 2 pieces of drilled pipe.
